Micah marveled, saying, “Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? … You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7:18–19).
David, too, rejoiced in God’s forgiveness, writing, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered” (Psalm 32:1), and again, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12).

The basis of this forgiveness was not only mercy and atonement, but also God’s unconditional love. Through Jeremiah God spoke, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you” (Jeremiah 31:3). This everlasting love is what moved Him to forgive, to cleanse, and to promise restoration to His people.

All of these verses show that the Old Testament did not leave forgiveness as a mystery. The basis was always the mercy of God, His unconditional love, given through repentance and through the blood of atonement that He Himself provided, which looked ahead to the Messiah. The cross of Christ was the fulfillment of what God had already made known: that He is a God who forgives iniquity, who blots out sins, and who makes the guilty clean. Do you believe this Doug?
I asked to show HOW God could forgive and none of these verses say how

This shows that forgiveness was not earned by men but was given through the blood that God provided, pointing forward to the greater sacrifice of the Messiah.
This indeed is how..........................[Rom 3:24-25 KJV] 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

How was by the blood of Christ

You only know this by the revelation given to Paul found in his epistles

I asked to show HOW God could forgive and none of these verses say how
they all do, it is about Love, because God loves us. Love if the foundation of the covenant, the Ten Commandments, of creation, of everything that exists.

I gave you all the answers multiple times already it is now for you to figure it out.
You gave a ton of verses, none of which stated how past sins could be forgiven.......saying sins are forgiven does not provide an explanation as to how they are forgiven

The answer as to how is readily apparent in Paul
Paul addresses how God can forgive past sins.........past sins are the sins committed before the cross not our individual past sins
Here is the verse...............[Romans 3:25 KJV] 25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
God declares his righteousness' in forgiving past sins in this verse

My question for you is, do you accept that only Paul can answer how sins are forgiven based on this verse?
Please answer yes/no if no why not

No, I do not accept that only Paul can answer how sins are forgiven. Your claim is false and dangerous because it takes the glory away from Christ and gives it to a man. The Son of God Himself explained how sins are forgiven, and the prophets before Him also declared it. If you claim only Paul can explain forgiveness, you openly deny the words of the Master.

Jesus said, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 26:28). Here the Lord Himself declares the very basis of forgiveness: His blood poured out. That is not Paul’s teaching — it is Christ’s own words. If you say we must go to Paul to understand forgiveness, then you are calling Jesus a liar.

Even before the cross, Jesus forgave sins on earth by His own authority. He told the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you” (Matthew 9:2). When challenged, He explained that “the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” (Matthew 9:6). That is the clear answer to how sins were forgiven before the cross: by God’s mercy and by the authority of His Son.

The Old Testament also testifies that sins were forgiven through God’s steadfast love and the sacrifices that pointed to Christ. The prophet Micah declared, “Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy” (Micah 7:18). David said, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). These verses plainly show that forgiveness was always possible because of God’s love and mercy, not because of Paul’s later writings.

Therefore your teaching is not only wrong, it is blasphemous. To say “only Paul can explain” is to trample on the words of Jesus and the prophets. The cross of Christ was the plan of God from the foundation of the world, and every sacrifice in the law, every prophecy of the Messiah, pointed to His blood that would be shed. Forgiveness has always rested on God’s mercy and on the Lamb of God, not on Paul.

So my answer is: No. Only Jesus is the one who explains how sins are forgiven. His blood, His authority, His word. Paul adds nothing beyond what Christ already declared. To put Paul above the Master is to follow a man instead of the Son of God. Repent of this error, for you are exalting the servant above the Lord. I have warned you of this many times but still you do not listen, therefore I wash my hands of you.
You do not truly know Christ, because if you knew Him you would hear His words and believe them. He already said clearly, “This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins,” and He showed His power when He forgave sins on earth, proving that the Son of Man has authority to forgive. Yet you ignore His voice and cling to the words of another as if they were greater than His. The Scriptures all testify of Him, but you are unwilling to come to Him that you may have life. If you will not believe the words of Christ, then you have no part in Him, because He alone is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.

Like I said many times to you in the past Paul cannot save you only Christ can. Repent before it is too late for you. Now, let me be.

Very well. but there are no passages in the old testament that state how God could forgive past sins, This was a mystery revealed to Paul by Christ and written in scripture................[Rom 3:25 KJV] 25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Your claim is false and dangerous because it takes the glory away from Christ and gives it to a man.
That is a false accusation to all who follow Paul. We dont glorify Paul. Paul was only a messenger to convey the words of Christ.
Do you say Matthew, Mark, Luke or John are glorified. They only wrote the words given them just as Paul.
Jesus said, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 26:28). Here the Lord Himself declares the very basis of forgiveness: His blood poured out.
This passage by itself does not clarify what sins or who the many are.
Jesus had authority but how could Jesus forgive sins and still be just?

God said he wouldnt clear the guilty....................
[Exo 34:7 KJV] 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].
[Num 14:18 KJV] 18 The LORD [is] longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation].

If you believe that Christ died for all, please show book, chapter, and verse.

Besides, if Christ died for All then logically, there will no one can be put to hell. But we know that hell will heavily be populated!!
Yes, BILLIONS of humans. Not to mention their roommates, the most wicked beings who ever lived!

Yes indeed

Just so you know what this discussion was about ,,,,,,it was how God could be just to forgive the past sins of Israel.............this was a mystery not found in the old testament
