If people gonna talk about the rapture and act like they the next big thing to get taken out with the wrath of God having come upon Israel....

Lol, man i think people have been duped by religious manipulation.... that is all it is.

Just as much as going into a church with someone maybe many who never even uses the bible and preachs that you are gonna be healed and you got money coming your way!

Dangerous people.

Just as much as dangerous as anyone who tries to present themselves as perfect...

This all shows that the people of that day were waiting for him to come...
Agreed...

it has nothing to do with us today...
Hm, so the entire New Testament has nothing to do with us today? Wow. Well, I disagree, but okay...

You make yourself look ridiculous and like you are superior with you belief system.
That's just you applying your own context to what I'm saying... If you think I think I'm superior to you or anyone else, no, of course not; that's just you being defensive, among other things... not my intention in any way.

Grace and peace to you, MatthewG.

And what does this have to do at all with your accusations against me. though you may not believe it, I do this always. so I await your evidence that I was spreading lies.
i have no accusations against you!!!

JESUS Says: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days....I Come to gather My Elect"

pre-trib rapture opposes the words of Christ and therefore pre-trib is of/from the spirit of error/anti-christ

Thank you. Absolutely nothing contrary to what I said. <smile> I mean... you might think so, I get that... <smile>

Grace and peace to you, Grailhunter.

You can read? Right.
They definitely believed they were living in the last days.
One of the reasons for the urgency to spread the Gospel.
One of the reasons that marriage and family was not a high priority

I think nobody here said that the entire New Testament has nothing to do with us today. The cross, salvation, sin, good works etc. are not limited by time.

But the events that were supposed to happen in the first century are not for us today to wait for them to happen....

Nope, read the text. Do you want me to copy it here and to color the exact stages of the last days as predicted by Jesus, in chronological order?
Read the GOSPEL an dthe Apostles letters and Revelation

#1- Gospel was preached since the beginning/Genesis

#2 - Gospel confirmed in Genesis

#3- Gospel preached and fulfilled at Christ's 1st Advent/Coming/Appearing

#4 - Gospel fulfilled and preached at Pentecost and forward = Acts/Apostles/Body of Christ

#5 - Gospel continues to be preached by the Body of Christ all the way to Christ's 2nd Advent/Coming/Appearing

#6 - Man of sin/Antichrist is revealed before the 2nd Coming of Christ

#7 - CHRIST Returns = Resurrection of the Saints who have died then rapture

Exactly. I do believe the Apostolic Record is for those people who were the bride of Christ in the day. There is no other way to have a persons mind renewed without being washed in the words of the Lord. Yeshua speaks life, and spirit, and he feeds our spiritual person the more we abide in him and what he had taught. Not concerning the end of the age, but the the things which lead to a newness of life in the life to come, and that will be rewarded in whatever God decides to give you at the end of life....

There are different glories of people in their spiritual bodies according to Paul. Therefore while the message of the 1st centeury was there and present and Jesus didnt lie to this community, and the apostles did not lie to their community, they were taken up and raptured by Yeshua, and I believe that totallyl happened.

Makes people angry really, they hate that. But whatever I dont care what you hate.

I read the gospel and the letters and Revelation. I think you got your chronology right, but the point is that its culmination was supposed to happen in the 1st century, not 2,000 years after Christ. There is no 2,000 years gap in Mt 24 events.

"...in these last days..." soberxp. There will certainly be a "Last Day," and it will be the day in which Jesus returns, synoymous with "the day of Christ," when all will be brought to completion. And that will happen after "these last days" are concluded.
No, the return of Jesus Christ is not the day of the end of the world, but the coming of the kingdom of heaven, the coming of judgment,

But the destruction of the world is alao near, and the topic is too long and too big for me to elaborate.

To put it simply,,the word of God is life, everything human beings doing is not the word of God leading the world to death as Mars.
No, they ~ we ~ are promised that He will be with us through all trial and tribulation ~ "...though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you are with me... surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life..." (Psalm 23) ~ and that the wicked will be sent away (Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 25:41-46; Revelation 20:15) at the end, and they will experience the wrath of God in the form of His eternal judgment.

Yes, if you truly be with him and follow him.
But Why not become a martyr and see Jesus Christ and God as soon as possible.

.As the disciples used to say, the kingdom of heaven is near.
John the Baptist, for example, was the first to say this, and soon he went to heaven.
Now I think, that's probably what the Bible calls great joy.

If we're still alive, we will... every eye will see Him... <smile>

Grace and peace to you both.
The Bible doesn't say that everyone will see the return of Jesus Christ, The word in the Bible is "shall", which means that when Jesus Christ came in the clouds, Anyone with eyes should be able to see him. But to be honest, there are too many blind people.

I... can... <smile>

Which... I affirmed... Yes, I agree. Go back and read my post again...?

One of the reasons that marriage and family was not a high priority
Ah, now this I disagree with. Paul was... pretty specific about the importance (to put it mildly) of marriage and family in Ephesians 5, for example... How would you back this up?

I think nobody here said that the entire New Testament has nothing to do with us today.
MatthewG said, HealthyShape, "This all shows that the people of that day were waiting for him to come... it has nothing to do with us today... as many people espouse," and that was in response to a post from @Grailhunter citing of passages from 1 Peter, 1 John, 1 Corinthians, Luke, Hebrews, is Corinthians and John again, Hebrews and 1 Peter again, and Revelation, respectively.

The cross, salvation, sin, good works etc. are not limited by time.
Right.

But the events that were supposed to happen in the first century are not for us today to wait for them to happen....
I mean, I hope Jesus comes quickly, as John did, in Revelation 22... And John was very, very old ~ probably well into his 80s at least ~ when he wrote that around the year 95 A.D. or so...

Grace and peace to you.

Lol
Jesus vividly described the setting of no tribulation.
Andveven worse for you, "one taken, one left behind BEFORE THE FLOOD"
"WATCH AND BE READY"
....who is taken BEFORE the flood?????
Just unreal the doctrines men cling to.

You just painted yourself into a hopeless position.
Please read again exactly what JESUS said

As the days of noah would be in reference to faithlessness.

You see how faithless Jesus states concerning the state of the World of Israel at that time.

You cant use it for the "World of America." Sorry. This world is doing great regardless of your hatred for it or not.

Or any of the apostles, for that matter? Which, if they had in what the wrote in the New Testament, would have really been God... But right.

As the days of noah would be in reference to faithlessness.
No, Jesus's context there was suddenness, that it would come at once... without warning... sudden. Like a thief in the night...

Grace and peace to you both.
