unless you believed in vain.

To "believe in Vain" means that you didn't truly believe, you just understood the concept.

See, there is "Head knowledge" of Jesus.....that is to recognize that He is the Savior........but that is not Faith.

Real faith is....>"with the HEART a person believes unto Salvaiton"..

They believed and then fell away! It's not rocket science!

It seems to be rocket science for you.

As they didnt believe unto salvaiton........as had they, then Jesus would be in them....and He's not...and the verse explains that they 'have no ROOT".

He is the Root.......and they dont have Him in them..........and the verse says.......that "THey that have not the Spirit of God IN THEM.= (there is the ROOT)....they are NONE OF GODS"..

Faith is what got you saved and faith is what keeps you saved.

No.

Faith in Christ.... is what caused God to save a BELIEVER., and God is why they are saved, and why they remain so.

Faith is not the Saivor.
JESUS is the Savior.
Believe it.

Guess again. @Charlie24 .

Salvation is all of God.......not Faith.

Faith is given to God, and God accepts it to then apply to you what Jesus has ALREADY finished on the Cross 2000 Yrs ago.
This is the "Gift of Salvation".
So, there is the "eternal security".

What do you make of this.

Heb. 6:4-6

"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

To understand your verse, you have to understand these 2 verses., first.

1.) "The Signs of an Apostle".......
2.) "He that worketh miracles among you"..

See those 2 partial verses by the Apostle Paul?

So, In those days, the Apostles had miraculous power on Tap.
They could perform signs and wonders whenever they needed to do it........or = the "Signs of an Apostle".......and this was a "Heavenly Gift "" given to them, for THEIR ministry at THAT TIME.
And this is why this Epistle is titled the "ACTS of the Apostles"" and not the acts of a Christian.

Now, when you read in Heb that they "tasted the Heavenly Gift"....that means that the Apostle was doing "signs and wonders" in front of these unsaved Jews......because "The Jews require a Sign"......>Paul teaches.

So, here you have a group of Christ Hating Jews, in Heb 6 and 10, and the Apostle is doing everything He can do to cause them to Believe, including lettiing them "TASTE the Heavenly Gift"....and that is to literally SEE the Apostle's miraculous Heavenly Power.
And even SEEING THIS they "WILLFULLY" continue to reject their Messiah, which is to "trod underfoot" the Blood of Jesus, and to "do despite (to spit on) the Spirit of Grace". (Reject the Holy Spirit's drawing them)....= ........and they did all of this willfully.
So, these are hateful Christ Rejecting RELIGIOUS Jews........who are doing that and the Apostle is telling them, in Heb 10.....>"listen, if you reject Christ your Messiah, there is no more sacrifice for your sin"....as HE IS THE ONLY SACRIFICE God offers.

Do you know why it's impossible to be renewed again to repentance after one falls away from faith?

Do you know why it's impossible to be renewed again to repentance after one falls away from faith?

That verse is specific to those Jews in Heb 6 & 10.

Are you are Jew?
Are you an unsave Hebrew?
Then those verses are not talking to you @Charlie24 .... if you are actually born again, and not just water baptized and religious and lost.

So.........You have to think.
You have to realize that the Apostle is trying to get a group to trust in Christ......to believe in their Messiah.
No Apostle is going to be trying to do this if you are already Saved.

Comprehend ??

Listen.........If everyone in the Church Building is born again, then you dont need to preach to them about JESUIS being their Messiah, to get them to trust in Christ.
Do you understand @Charlie24 ?
So, the reason that this Apostle is trying to get these Hebrews to trust in Christ, and to not willfully sin = Christ rejection, is because they are not Christians.
They are unbelieving JEWS who are willfully rejecting their Messiah and so there remains no more sacrifice of Jesus for their because ..= they have rejected HIM.

It's because they have committed the unforgiveable sin, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

He was put to shame along with Christ and forced to leave that person by turning from the faith.

Notice..

Paul's verse.

"All scripture is given for Reproof, for Instruction, for Doctrine, and for correction"..

But not all verses are all of those....

So, Hebrews Chapter 6 & 10, are showing the Christians, .. "This is what it means to commit the unpardonable sin".

See that?

So Heb 6 & 10 are INSTRUCTING The Christian.......>"here is how to understand the unpardonable sin".

A.) Unsaved HEBREWS (Jews) = are commiting it in Hebrews..Chapter 6, and10.....and also in ACTS 28:28....as that is the same thing again...its a mirror verse.

So this verse is not about a Christian.......its simply instruction for us to understand how to understand "what is the unpardonable sin".

EXCELLENT scripture/Truth

There are 3 stages to the Marriage

If you are going to say, the espousal, the marriage, and then the supper

Matt 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Where are the stages in this one?

I mean wouldn't the oxen and fatlings for the supper be cold by now?

The context here is...

"For God so loved the WORLD">.........so, the entire world is being called to come and Believe., so that is the "Many"..

And in relation to the many, you have those who come to Christ......and that is the "few".

This is the same idea as....... "By one mans sin".. we all became sinners.......and by One Man's Obedience (Jesus on The Cross)... many will be MADE righteous".

Heres the actual context (I posted the context, you chopped it off from the context as usual)

Father, a King/ and Son marriage arrangement

Matt 22:2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Matt 22:3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding:

Looks as though all things are ready as far as the marriage goes here

Matt 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Matt 22:5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

Matt 22:6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

Matt 22:7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. (Matt 21:41)

Matt 22:8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

That was the end of that, then to his servants (who have been previous treated badly by the former group) were told

Matt 22:9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. (Matt 21:43)

Matt 22:10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Matt 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

Matt 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?
And he was speechless.

Matt 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Weeping and gnashing of teeth in Matt 8:2, Matt 22:13, Matt 24:51, Matt 25:30, Luke 13:28

Matt 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Israel could commit sin thru ignorance..................[Lev 4:2 KJV] 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD [concerning things] which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

I am not saying anything about us being sinless only commenting on Hebrews
There is a vast difference between the lives of OT Israel and NT church!

It also speaks of in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,

As far as unbelief goes Hebrews warns

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

And in respects to unbelief here Paul says,

Romans 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

David to Solomon about the LORD casting off forever those who forsake him.

1 Ch 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind:
for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;
but if thou forsake him
, he will cast thee off for ever.

Again, he that searches the hearts, and so it says, "take heed" here in this instance concerning a heart of unbelief

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Jesus does say these believe for awhile

Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

And you can back up and bring in the root in Romans also, and see the unbelief there also

Romans 11;7 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Romans 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Romans 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.

Romans 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

Romans 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

They believed and then fell away! It's not rocket science!

Faith is what got you saved and faith is what keeps you saved.

Man can turn from that faith.
Liked = "It's not rocket science"

@Behold - Behold the Truth: 2 Cor 11:1-4

Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with me. For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!
