It’s imperative that you hear Jesus himself speak @Riven. His words are given to him, put into his mouth to speak, by his God and they are life imparting. How frequently are you reading him these days?
Not enough. My life is like a tornado in my head. Or my head is the tornado. There's a lot going on.

My experience:

Muslims are very receptive to the idea that Jesus submitted to his God.

Jews who don’t believe that Jesus - himself a Jew - is the Messiah are set hard against the idea that Jesus submitted to his / their God.

You do understand that The Son is God who became flesh, right?

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

As a Man Jesus became a little lower than the angels, and demonstrated how mankind is to submit to God.

I’m an ex-trinitarian and, among other things, a retired adjunct college professor of theology. I taught it to my students.

I'm not a trinitarian.

I am a Christian; a follower of Jesus Christ because He is LORD, YHWH the LORD God.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13

What is the Name of the LORD, YHWH, you call on to be saved?

I'm not a trinitarian.

I don’t hold that against you. There are a lot of “Christian” members here who aren’t trinitarian.

I am a Christian; a follower of Jesus Christ …

The trinitarians say the same thing. Right?

... because He is LORD, YHWH the LORD God.

Psalm 110:1 makes a distinction between the Messiah and Yahweh. Jesus is the Messiah.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

I call upon the name of the Messiah.

I call upon the name of the Messiah.

I asked you a simple question that comes from scripture.

Here is the scripture.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

This scripture uses the phrase “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Question: What is the Name of the LORD you call on to be saved?

Could you spare, say, ten minutes a day every day reading Jesus?

I’ve found that sometimes people need to have an accountability partner, even someone who would commit to reading the same passages of scripture each day that they are reading each day. Would you be interested in doing something like that with someone you know?

I could try.

There is no one else. So it has to be me.

Ten minutes isn’t asking a lot. You can do it.

You could probably find someone on the forum who would be willing to do it with you. I bet if you asked you would find that there are many here who would. I think ”the line at your door” would be a lengthy one.

A suggestion for you: Start a new thread asking if there are any members would commit to reading with you, at your ten minute pace.

I don't want to inconvenience anybody. I can do ten minutes. Do you have any suggestions on where I should start?

I don’t think you would inconvenience anybody. I think you would make the day for many. You wouldn’t chill them; you would thrill them.

I can do ten minutes. Do you have any suggestions on where I should start?

Why not start in Matthew Chapter 1? It contains 25 verses. Could you read that in ten minutes?

Then so will I. Check back with me today or tomorrow and let me know how you did. We can talk about what you read or not talk about what you read. We might just mentally check the “We read it” box and decide what we’re going to read together on the next day.

I still think you should start a separate thread on it. Who knows, maybe we’ll have five, ten, fifteen maybe more committed to reading the same passages of scripture every day.
