John knew perfectly well what “word” meant. He was drawing on his background in the Hebrew Bible. The trinitarian translators recognized that.
John did not translate the Geneva Bible. Do not speculate what old English translators recognized.

Yes. Christian monotheism in the 1st century was the monotheism of Jesus.
...and of the apostles.

@JLB is a sincere Christian. Do you identify with him?
I do not know him, but if he is a sincere Christian, then we are one family. Identifying with Christians is not equal to have the same opinions about everything as one individual of the group, of course.

...and of the apostles.

Surely. The monotheism of Jesus and the apostles is precisely the same.

He’s a non-trinitarian staff member. I’ve been in conversation with him in this thread and in the thread which I provided the link for.

It seems you are beginning to understand that we can dismiss all your "Geneva Bible speculation".

I’ve just well-read on the subject. You acknowledged that you aren’t. I’m sharing some of the information I’ve acquired from trinitarian sources with you and others.

Again, the Geneva Bible translators were Calvinists. They were trinitarians. By using "it" while referring to Logos they did not want to express that Jesus is not God or that He was not the Logos.

And if they wanted, they would be simply wrong. The Geneva Bible translation is not inspired or perfect.

John isn’t a Calvinist. He’s a Jew. The translators understood that.

Logos = davar.
