It is too early to speculate - we have knife crimes for many reasons. They will say if it’s terrorism once they know, they don’t hide it.
Not everyone had guns when the firearms acts was changed in 1968, the original act was in 1920. I don’t recall any of my grand parents having guns. I was born in 1958 and where I lived guns were not part of life, unless you had a farm.

Also, why do you presume that us all having guns would solve the problems, all we would end up having is mass shootings like the USA - guns have never given your country peace or protection from people that want to do other harm, so why on earth would you think it would prevent things like this happening. The problem with the UK is that common people are not allowed to have any self-defense tools. Not even a pepper spray. You must run away like ducks when somebody attacks with basically anything in his hands.

Laws must be rational to make sense, no extreme (all can have guns or nobody can have anything) is good.

I think it’s very difficult for Americans to see beyond having guns because You have got so use to having them. Granted there have been times when someone with a gun has taken a perpetrator down in the US, but not every time. Over here not everyone runs , there have been many who have tackled the attacker.
We do have things within our homes that can be used in self defence , and we are allowed to defend ourselves if it is justified.
We live within different cultures, I personally wouldn’t want to own a gun. There are problems and issues from both sides. If people want to hurt others they find away. Look at how many have used cars to drive into crowds, or airplanes into buildings. Years ago it was bombs from the IRA and Both countries have had bomb attacks.
It’s all very sad.

I did not say anything about guns. I said you are not allowed to have anything, not even a pepper spray. Such extremes are not good, you are totally defenseless. Somebody with a kitchen knife has suddenly an advantage over all other people.

Heroism is nice and such, but fighting against a knife with bare hands is almost certain death or a serious injury. Not even trained people can do it safely.

The USA is one extreme and the UK is the opposite extreme.

Go to GOD in prayer and pray and ask for him to reveal that which neither side can see .
