This is pretty much my take on it:

rev 6 The seven seals and how they relate to mt 24:
1)white horse rider(Mt 24 "many shall come in my name saying I am anointed(Anti-Christ, man of sin revealed)
2)red horse rider who takes peace from the earth(wars and rumors of wars)
3)Black horse rider who measures food (famines in different places)
4)Pale(Green) horse rider is death and hell follows kills 1/3 with disease and war(pestilences)
5)Under the alter those who died for Jesus(they shall deliver you up)
6)eathquakes,sun becomes black,moon becomes as blood(compare with Mt 24)Isa 2:19 men hiding in the holes of the rocks and in caves(joel 2:31)
7)silence in heaven(because Jesus is returning with his angels and heaven is empty)

Paul knew the `times and seasons` and told his disciples. They knew of the Day of the LORD which heralds the war, the trib, and the millennium. The Hebrew and Greek word for Day means - a period of time and a specific day.

The Thessalonians knew that the Day of the LORD (God Almighty in judgment) came as a thief and was for those in darkness. They knew that they were not in darkness so that Day would not overtake them. (1 Thess. 5: 2 & 4)

Paul would have told them that the prophet Joel said that the Day of the LORD, (period of time) had a great army being brought by God down to Israel and then being dealt with by God. (Joel 2: 1, 20)

And so what do you believe is the most important truth? Thank you.

NLT - Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you.
ESV - Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you.
NASB - Now as to the periods and times, brothers and sisters, you have no need of anything to be written to you.
GWT - Brothers and sisters, you don't need anyone to write to you about times and dates.
WNT - But as to times and dates it is unnecessary that anything be written to you.

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

JESUS words and Paul's words AGREE and Line UP

Actually I mean 6.11 years for the tribulation. The great trib, is 3 1/2 years.

Do you have any scripture that proves the great tribulation is 3.5 years long?

I agree that the northern great army, (Russian Fed, and others) will be before the 7 years (of Israel`s chastisement).

After the war there will still be a short space for the parties to come together to make the Peace treaty.

The Day of the Lord occurs on one 24-hour day.

I think you are confused about the tribulation being the wrath of God. The wrath of God lasts one year.

The great tribulation is when the beast is killing Jews. The wrath of God is when God takes vengeance on an unbelieving world. They are not the same event.

1-4 I agree with you.

5. The 5th seal is the great tribulation

6. The sixth seal is the coming of Jesus for the second harvest............seen here........ Revelation 14 14-19

7. The 7th seal is not in Matthew 24. The 7th seal is the one year wrath of God which contains the 7 trumpets and 7 vials.

I don't think so. The seals cover events to take place during the 7 years, from beginning to end. Note day 1 and day 2520 on the chart.

As we look at what is happening around the world to the Jews, (Gaza, Bondi massacre at Hanukkah celebrations etc) we certainly see that most nations are turning against them as well as well as Islamic terrorists killing them.

I certainly do not see that the nations will accept a Jewish person for their Global leader.

So how is it that the Thessalonians knew about the Day of the LORD?

`you don`t need...for you yourselves KNOW perfectly..` is NOT the same as `it is not for you to know...`
