Great topic.
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
- because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
What is the truth?
The truth is
something that comes from
Someone.
Jesus Christ is the truth.
Every word that proceeds out of His mouth is the truth.
The fullness (threefold) of the truth is found in:
His Gospel
His Doctrine
His Commandments
It’s interesting to note that not obeying any one of these three truths can result is eternal condemnation.
Obeying His Gospel: 2 Thessalonians 1:8
Obeying His Doctrine: 2 John 9
Obeying His Commandments: 1 John 2:4
The Spirit of truth leads and guides us into all truth, if we will allow Him to.
The more we are filled with the Spirit, the more we will love; love Jesus Christ and love what He teaches.
It’s good to confess with our mouth that we love the truth, that we desire to be filled with the knowledge of the truth, and to ask for His grace to walk in the truth.
We must walk in the truth if we expect to worship in Spirit and truth.
- for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie
The time is coming and is now upon us that God will send a strong delusion that will actually authorize the Antichrist to do signs wonders and miracles, for the purpose of deceiving those who refuse to love Jesus Christ, and what He teaches, so that they will be condemned.
I know this may sound a little straightforward but it’s the truth.
He did it in the Old Testament.
“If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and
he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘
Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for
the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst. Deuteronomy 13:1-5
