You’re not saved by surviving hardship, and you’re not condemned because life treated you unfairly. The question is not whether the universe noticed you. The question is whether you have come to Christ.

Creation does not reconcile you to God. Scripture says creation only leaves man without excuse: “the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen… so that they are without excuse” ~Romans 1:20. Nature points to Him, but it does not forgive sin.

Favor with the “natural order” cannot cleanse a guilty heart. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” ~Romans 3:23. And the problem is not environment but the heart: “the heart is deceitful above all things” ~Jeremiah 17:9.

God did not tell you to read meaning into circumstances. He gave a command: “God… now commandeth all men every where to repent” ~Acts 17:30. Not observe. Not interpret life. Repent.

And He gave one way of life: “neither is there salvation in any other” ~Acts 4:12. The same Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” ~John 14:6.

So confidence in experience is misplaced confidence. You can feel guided and still be lost. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” ~Proverbs 14:12.

God is paying attention. That is exactly why the warning matters now. Turn to Christ while mercy is offered, because after this comes judgment ~Hebrews 9:27.
That's right I'm so very not saved, unless I'm of the OSAS believing community, which I'm not. So I guess I'm doomed to be in hell with Jeffrey Epstein, Lewis Black, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Jeffrey Dahmer, The whole cast of Oceans 11 and Daffy Duck presumably, because he loved money.

Is this a trick question? I am not reading a particular book for my source information.
After you die, do you believe you will continue to consciously exist in some form ?

1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13 teaches you ARE saved & sealed if you believe & trust that Christ died, was buried then resurrected to forgive your sins.
**
1 Cor 15
1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Eph 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

I'd assume so. Did Mary have a choice?
If He desires ALL to be saved He could simply MAKE you believe.
Yet instead He lets you choose and you have chosen not too.
2 Pet 3:9..but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

You joke about hell because you think the comparison is the issue. It isn’t. The issue is guilt before God. Scripture does not ask whether you’re worse than Dahmer. It says, “there is none righteous, no, not one” ~Romans 3:10 and “all have sinned” ~Romans 3:23. God does not judge on a curve. He judges in righteousness ~Acts 17:31.

That is why He commands you to repent ~Acts 17:30, because “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” ~Hebrews 9:27. And He gave one escape, not many: “he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life” ~John 3:36.

You can laugh at the warning, but you will still meet the Judge. The question is simple. Will you come to Christ, or face God with your own sin?

Only God can judge. We all have to understand that only God would know one heart for another. It even point's out in the New Testament that there are people who Jesus will cast away, even though they believed in Jesus while on earth. You want me to post the verse I am referring to? This is a very important warning from Jesus to his follower's to keep a check on their faith and not fall into the camp of the hypocrites.

I do not know. I'm okay with not knowing. There are many things we'll never know and there's nothing wrong with remaining in the unknown.

I don't like not knowing. It makes my threat detector go off.

You were born not knowing (In absence of all knowledge) So your brain does know how to live in the unknown zone.

Sure, show me.
Matthew 7:21-23
21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Good passage to bring up, because it actually answers your point, not supports uncertainty.

Notice what Jesus says: “I never knew you” ~Matthew 7:23.
Not I knew you once and then rejected you.
Not you lost Me.
He says never.

The issue in that text is not a believer failing. It is a professor pretending.

They call Him “Lord, Lord” ~Matthew 7:21.
They do religious works ~Matthew 7:22.
They even do impressive spiritual activity.
But Jesus exposes the reality. There was no relationship.

The word “knew” comes from Greek ginōskō, meaning personal relational knowledge, not awareness. Christ is saying they were never His people at all.

And He tells you why: “ye that work iniquity” ~Matthew 7:23.
“Iniquity” is anomia, lawlessness. A life unchanged by Him.

So this passage is not warning true believers they might be rejected later.
It is warning religious people that activity is not salvation.

Scripture explains the difference clearly:
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” ~John 3:36
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish” ~John 10:27-28

Matthew 7 is the contrast to that.
People who talk about Jesus vs people who belong to Jesus.

The warning is real, but the target is false faith, not real faith. The question is not whether someone said the right words. The question is whether Christ actually knows them.
