This vid points out many amazing facts. One being the Crusades were the only time the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church united in common cause since the Great Schism.

Roman Catholics committed atrocities against the Eastern Orthodox in the Fourth Crusade. The Roman Catholics apologized for it centuries later, but it remains a source of friction between them.

Read about what the Roman Catholics did to the Eastern Orthodox in the Fourth Crusade and then remember the smile on the face of the man on this video.

Even if all you remember is the Catholic crusaders raping Eastern Orthodox nuns, remember that smile.

This one public monologue is powerfully presented. One fact is Islam attacked the following Christian nations for 6 centuries:
  • CHRISTIAN Palestine
  • CHRISTIAN Algeria
  • CHRISTIAN Armenia
  • CHRISTIAN Egypt
  • CHRISTIAN Libya
  • CHRISTIAN Jordan
  • CHRISTIAN Portugal
  • CHRISTIAN Spain
  • CHRISTIAN Italy

Readers, remember Jesus, the apostles and the practice of the church for the first three centuries in response to evil. The Catholic church didn’t.

Burn it into your memory, readers. Men who attempt to justify raping women (to name only one of the atrocities committed by the crusaders -> against Muslims, Jews, and Christians) are condoning evil. That’s not what a true follower of Jesus - male or female - does.

No. Absolutely not.

“It is impossible to justify an act as heinous as rape.”

Wow, so 2 different cults agreed on something. Interesting.

Then whilst on the crusades they murdered many for failing to agree with their cult teachings. Impressive.

Fighting islamic aggression is fine, but using the threat of death to force people to join their cult, not so much

From my X / Twitter “For you” feed this morning -

“Theology 101: The history of the Church glomming onto the State for aid in advancing their religious or moral ideals is a history of paltry short-term gains at the cost of disastrous long-term losses.”

“• Pray for your enemies
• Bless those who curse you
• Do good to those who hate you

This is how a Christian should response to a world that despises them.”

(Trevor Sheatz)

That is not how the crusaders responded to Islam. The crusader response is not the Christian response; it is a world response.

“Theology 101: ‘We live in a world, in the real world … that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power … These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time.’

This kind of thinking doesn’t end well in God’s economy (Dan 11:38-39; Rev 13:4).”

Moving the Goal Posts. Is that what the Crusades were about, Christians killing fellow Christians?

The Crusaders killed fellow Christians. That’s a historical fact.

The Muslims didn’t love their enemies. Did the Crusaders love their enemies?

The crusade wars was a defense of Christian kingdoms and of Christianity itself.

Islam spread rapidly in the middle ages from the 7th to the 10th centuries, attacking and invading territories including ones that were previously Christian such as the holy lands, the Byzantine empire in eastern Europe and the Visigoth kingdom in the Iberian peninsula western Europe, modern day Portugal and Spain.

Islam's objective was to capture all of Europe and wipe out Christianiy. By the end of the 9th century they had wiped out the Visigoth kingdom and were making advances into the Byzantine empire

Islam was advancing into Europe from the east and from the west in the Iberian peninsula where the war against Islam became known as the reconquista. Elsewhere in Europe small kingdoms were at war with eachother and by the late 11th century they agreed to stop fighting each other and to fight the islamic invaders on these fronts before it was too late. These wars would be known as the crusades. The objective was to retake the lands that were recently Christian and halt the spread of Islam into Europe.

In the space of 200 years their would be nine crusades. Ultimately they failed in winning back the Holy land and the Bizantine empire collapsed to the Islamic Ottoman empire. However the reconquista in the Iberian peninsula was successful and the Islamic invasion into Europe was halted

Why did the Crusaders also kill Jews and Christians?

I'm sorry but that is false.
Christian kingdoms in Europe were at war with each other. Maybe thats what you mean. But the crusade wars were strictly against Islam. That's an undeniable historical fact
