>>>>>>>""The church of Laodicea is the final church age before Christ comes. The church of Laodicea is the final church age before Christ comes. There is no other church after Laodicea. The church that Jesus takes home with Him is repentant Laodicea. A church that repented of her lukewarmness, received Christ, and published the final gospel (Revel.14:6-12) to a all the world. The Laodicea church's issues that Jesus was pointing out to them was that they were content on being miserable, wretched, poor, blind, and naked. Nothing in there about not having doctrinal unity. In other words, they knew the truth, they had the correct teachings, but we're apathetic and lazy and made Jesus sick.
So what is the lesson here? We need to receive Christ. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We need to be forming characters and living lives that God can approve of. We need to be filled with compassion and love for the lost. We need to be preaching the gospel and warning people everywhere of the imminent coming of Christ so that they can be prepared and repent of their lukewarm apathetic self contented attitudes.
Unity in belief, especially if we have come to that unity by compromising truth, will just further blind us to the reality of our wretched condition and make us more complacent than ever.

Would you surrender your own beliefs in the cause of Christian doctrinal unity?
I have been a Roman Catholic in the past, and they worship the same Godhead.
>>> What churches and preachers claim is truth is >>>>SOMETIMES<<<<< not Truth. No, since God's Word teaches that there is mass deception in the end times.
I'm not going to allow any church or preacher dictate to me what I am to believe as that's how people get deceived.
Jesus sent THE Teacher (Holy Spirit) to lead us in to all Truth and God's Word is Truth
What churches and preachers claim is truth is not Truth.

I think it is only on the Day of Judgment that humanity can unify its thoughts.
I don't care about you, cuz any of you for me meaning nothing. You are a day late and a dolla short.
The Gospel is about turning away from "humanity" and it's darkened wisdom and instead being born again and translated in to the Kingdom of God's Dear Son and living in agreement with Him
The so called "brotherhood of man" is demonic as it is not the Body of Christ and does not abide IN Christ.
I don't care about you, cuz any of you for me meaning nothing.
I only care about myself and will of God.
I think it is only on the Day of Judgment that humanity can unify its thoughts.

Only some off them. The Essentials vs liberty. This is a follow-up to the previous topic: Unity of the faith - at what cost? Link below.
Probably the biggest roadblock to Christian doctrinal unity is holding on to the freedom we have to determine our own beliefs.
Would you surrender your own beliefs in the cause of Christian doctrinal unity?
Unity of the faith - at what cost?
Just to be clear, I do not seek Christian doctrinal unity. Defined as EVERYONE surrendering to a predetermined set of beliefs.
I believe that unity comes when we accept each other no matter our differences.
That we seek to understand each other instead of rejecting those whose Christian doctrine may differ.
Which presents its own set of challenges, of course. But that's another topic. (I hope) - LOL
Is that the new math for the the new Adam? - LOLAdam living on the earth 900years
Jesus Christ living on the earth 30years
So where is the 70years?
But who decides what you will believe?Only some off them. The Essentials vs liberty.

Jesus Christ living on the earth 30years
So where is the 70years?
Is that the new math for the the new Adam? - LOL
What is the 100 years you are pointing to?
I think that the very basics are clear enough. Most do agree on those. Those who don't are being divisive. This board is full of divisive people but I think the ones who grasp the basics of the ONE gospel delivered agree on much. But who decides what you will believe?
Christian doctrinal unity requires EVERYONE surrendering to a predetermined set of beliefs.
Who decides?
We already have creeds. And if one agrees with that, it's not much of an issue.I think that the very basics are clear enough. Most do agree on those. Those who don't are being divisive. This board is full of divisive people but I think the ones who grasp the basics of the ONE gospel delivered agree on much.
Who decides? The gospel is not up for grabs. It says what it says in it's entirety. It's not that hard to understand. A child can accept it.
People make it hard! Those with man's doctrines + gospel generally are cherry picking verses which leads to all sorts of heresy.
