No doubt It will get difficult. Knowing this keeps me from surprises. The scripture tells us that if it were possible even the elect would be deceived. Eyes and ears open I say.
This Matthew 24:24-26 prediction about the strong deception by the false christs and false prophets was not given for our generation to experience. It was strictly related to the era prior to the destruction of the second temple in AD 70. How do I know this? Because Christ warned against giving heed to any false prophets who would claim that their false christ would be in the "secret chambers".
The "secret chambers" Christ was referring to were rooms within Herod's temple complex. One of these "secret chambers" served as a repository for anonymous donations for the poor, to be distributed at intervals - also anonymously. The other "secret chamber" collected donations for temple upkeep.
In other words, Christ's prophecy concerning the deception by the false prophets and false christs
HAD to occur while there were still those "secret chambers" of Herod's temple in existence. Once the temple was torn down to the last stone in AD 70, the prophecy Christ gave in Matthew 24:24-26 was no longer relevant.
As for the topic of this post, the "mark of the Beast" is not relevant to our generation either. How do I know this? Because the homage given to the Sea Beast in Revelation 13 (as enforced by the Land Beast of Rev. 13) was
to give homage to a Sea Beast who had been given Satan's throne (Rev. 13:2), which was in the city of Pergamos (Rev. 2:13). This was fulfilled in ancient times, because the entire Pergamos kingdom and its capital in Pergamos was given to the ancient Roman Republic by the dying King Attalus III in 133 BC. That identifies this Sea Beast of Revelation 13 with the ancient Roman Republic - not our own modern-day reality.
The "mark" which gave homage to that ancient Roman Republic / empire was
the Tyrian shekel - a coin which was imposed by Israel's high priesthood on everyone from any nation who came to offer sacrifices at the temple. There was
no buying or selling any sacrificial items at the temple without using this one single currency with its forbidden, abominable images and inscriptions giving glory to the Roman empire. The high priesthood requirement of the Tyrian shekel "mark" lasted from 19 BC until the Jewish rebellion against Rome began in AD 66. At that time, the Zealots started minting their own currency for the independent nation of Israel, and the "mark" requirement was dropped.
We today don't have this threat of the "mark" of the ancient Sea Beast hanging over us anymore. The videos above are merely fear-mongering - a tactic which usually brings profits to the fear-monger.
