Jesus and the apostles didn’t use the weapons of the world.
They sure DIDN'T!
What they DID use however?
Is the "Sword of the Spirit!"
On levels that you can't even "see" the handle of, let alone GRASP!
Elstwise you would NOT be speaking this way!
But? You DO however fill in SOME gaps!
You just reject those that fill in gaps you cannot QUITE fathom............YET!

Hebrews 6:1
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection(COMPLETENESS); not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith TOWARD God,

No, people likely won’t die in the lake of fire. Even if he did kill them all

Powerful denial there. Your idea is that they call it 2nd Death but they won't die. Wow!

Nowhere in Scripture, nowhere, are believers commanded to kill their enemies, for any reason
You are wrong about a great many things. 1 Samuel 15:3
3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

What was that you were saying about Nowhere in Scripture, nowhere, are believers commanded to kill their enemies? Want to correct your assertions?

Do what they did. The earliest Christians did. Some Christians throughout history have done so too.

The crusaders didn’t.

You haven’t killed any Muslims yet. Good! Don’t start now. And don’t teach others to kill Muslims.

You are a false teacher who abuses Scripture to suit your false beliefs. And in this case, it is a gross, atrocious misuse of Scripture to use Jesus as an example to support killing Muslims. Absolutely wicked.
Projecting your over-spiritualized false teachings of an IDOL of Jesus, who will kill more people than anyone else. I'd love hear your false teaching of the purpose of throwing people in the Lake of Fire and calling it 2nd Death if it leaves them alive? What Judgment is there then to Judgment Day?

Yes. Jesus is God and you are not and never will be. He was perfectly sinless and so is perfectly just when he judges; you are neither of those.
Fallacy of argumentation known as Appeal to Perfection. Yet, he put me (us) in a position to judge this life. 1 Corinthians 6:3

Exactly!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------

Jesus’ message on non-violence is central to his ethical teachings in the New Testament.

He emphasized love over retaliation and encouraged his followers to respond to aggression with peace rather than revenge.

In the Sermon on the Mount, he said: “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, do not resist the one who is evil. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also” (Matthew 5:38-39
------------------------------------------------------------

Small wonder the world is in such a mess considering some so called Christians keep calling for murder and destruction.

The evidence is right here on this forum where Christians support the opposite of what Christ preached.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe some of you should read Corrie ten Boom publications.

  1. whipped at people.
  2. overturned tables
  3. Told us to fear God who can destroy our bodies and soul.
  4. will smite his enemies immediately upon his return
  5. will kill the most people in history on Judgement Day
His ethical teachings are plain for all to see. Not as non-violent as the overly-spiritualized assert.

The Sword of the Spirit is not violence, destruction and murder.
It is exactly the the opposite.

The Sword of the Holy Spirit stands for peace and forgiveness.

Jesus, the apostles and the disciples - for the first three centuries of Christian history - weren’t anything at all like the pope and the crusaders.

The ethical teachings of Jesus were not accurately reflected in the ethical teachings of the pope.

Is NOT "revenge!"
I would consider it more of "ENSURING SURVIVAL" of "The WAY!"

Ya see?
God KNOWS there's enemies RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW! Walking around on two feet! Marrying! And procreating too!
He also KNOWS these enemies WILL NOT convert!.......EVER!
Well now? These here "Lawless and Godless" ones' have NO QUALMS in their "cause/s" in making EVERY/Anyone who is NOT of their (
how can I say) FERTILIZER!
Psalm 110:
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, UNTIL I MAKE THINE ENEMIES THEY FOOTSTOOL.
And even Our High Priest and Kinsmen Redeemer Jesus Christ of Nazareth says?:

Luke 9:50
And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not AGAINST us is FOR us.
So? Why are YOU?:contemplate:

Obviously, these people would prefer Christianity went extinct in the 12th century.
You violent war mongering socalled "Christians" are no hair better than violent radical Muslims.

It's disgusting how you folks drag the name of Jesus Christ through the mud.

Who in their right mind would want to become a Christian after listening to your angry war mongering.

It does appear that way Wrangler!
The "Blinders" they have donned themselves with, won't ALLOW them to "see" how MUCH and to what extent the Father and God of Jesus Christ of Nazareth HAS for them in making it possible in the "KEEPING Christianity AROUND!"
Perhaps? WHEN the adversary gets "Incarcerated" for a thousand years?
But yeah Wrangler? Probably going to be like this UNTIL then!
Unfortunate and SAD it is!

“Pope Benedict, leading a global inter-religious meeting, acknowledged on Thursday ‘with great shame’ that Christianity had used force in it long history as he joined other religious leaders in condemning violence and terrorism in God’s name. …

‘Violence never again! War never again! Terrorism never again! In the name of God, may every religion bring upon Earth justice and peace, forgiveness and life, love,’ the pope said in his public commitment at the end of the day.

In his major address at the start of the gathering the pope asked for forgiveness for his own church’s use of violence in the past.

‘As a Christian I want to say at this point: yes, it is true, in the course of history, force has also been used in the name of Christian faith,’ he said in his address to the delegations in an Assisi basilica.

‘We acknowledge it with great shame. But it is utterly clear that this was an abuse of the Christian faith, one that evidently contradicts its true nature,’ he said. …”

@Wrangler @Armour of God @NayborBear

You haven’t apologized for the violence done by Christians in God’s name. You haven’t acknowledged that it is an abuse of the Christian faith that contradicts its true nature.

You support the violence that was done and you want to see more of it. You aren’t ashamed of it. One day you will be.

One wonders how these people evangelize based on violence, anger and murder.
One wonders how many people will be converted into the faith after hearing about all this violence based Christianity.

It's down right sickening to read this on a Christian Forum.

Obviously not.

Speaking for myself, I’ve never wanted Christianity to go extinct at any time in the past, nor at any point in the future. And it never will. Thank God.

Consider this. What they are doing works to our advantage.

I want people to see and hear what they approve and teach. I want people to see that they don’t practice what they teach. I want to set that side by side with what the Messiah taught and practiced. I want people to choose between the disparate ways.

Their way is sickening. The Messiah’s way is healing.

From my perspective, those advocating for followers of Jesus to kill their enemies are just part of the mission field.

You don’t support the violence that was done by the crusaders?
You don’t want to see more violence done to Muslims? To Jews? To Christians?
You aren’t proud of what the crusaders did?

I’m especially thankful that God has given me this opportunity to witness to you, and to others.
