“Charles Battle‘s voice, gentle and soft, is little more than a whisper when he recalls his time at war. No visible scars give testimony to his tour in Vietnam, but when he talks about his combat experiences, his eyes glaze with tears. He pauses as another resident of the North Carolina veteran’s home in which he temporarily lives ambles past the picnic table where we talk.

’I saw so many awful things I can’t forget. I don’t want to burden you. Are you sure you want to know what war is?’

Battle was one of 65 participants in a photographic series I have worked on for three years in which I asked combat veterans and those who have worked with them a single question: ‘What should we know about war?’ I asked each person to write a brief answer.

Some took months to put their response on paper as they struggled to answer the question. Every response came from a deep place in the heart and mind of the participant. Some spoke of the politics of war, others of personal experiences. Some looked back on their military service, still trying to make sense of their time in combat. Some have spent their lives protesting wars and advocating for peace when their time in the service ended.

I think of comforting Battle, telling him there’s no need to relive trauma. But I do need to hear his answer. We all do. Being ignorant of the horrors of war makes us complicit. And so I listen.

All of the project participants still grapple with events that changed them forever. Here are the things they want us to know. …”

(Nancy Hill, “Combat Veterans Tell Us What We Need to Know About War”)

@Wrangler @Armour of God @NayborBear

Will you hear their answers? Will you listen to them?

What I know is that you aren’t a very good student of early church history.
What I know is that you don't approve of HE who sits on HIS OWN Throne! NOR? Of the "WHAT IT TAKES" in the "PRESERVATION OF THE FAITH!"

Riddle me this young man.
What would have become of the Jews, as well as the Christian Faith, aka "Judeo-Christian WAY" HAD there NOT "HE who sits on HIS OWN Throne" used THAT WHICH YOU ABHOR, or, to be MORE PRECISE, that ASPECT of NOT ONLY Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but ALSO "HE who sits on HIS OWN Throne" during World War TWICED? :contemplate:
Using YOUR "line of believing and reacting?" Hirohito, Moussalini, Hitler, Stalin, would have just STAYED HOME, and left these "Several States" as well as rest of "AEF" alone? :contemplate:
Hebrews 6:1

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

It seems to these eyes anyway, that You haven't the "faith" to grow PAST the "FOUNDATION OF REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS!"
Because, it seems? THIS is what "HE who sits on HIS OWN Throne" KEEPS DOING THIS!:

Ezekiel 13:
11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

So? Like the busy busy buzz buzz "worker ants" that you have become? You STAY in the ditch, or RUT, CONTINUOUSLY building the "wall" and CONTINUOUSLY keep daubing it with UNTEMPERED MORTAR!
And? Lord God KEEPS "breaking down the WALL" UNTIL it FALLS!
And over and over and over AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
Thinking you are gaining ground in the building of "Beth-el!" (House of GOD)
In these "lessons of futility and insanity!"
Saying or using the Motto:
"At least we're doing SOMETHING!" "Even if it ain't right!"
Again and again and again!
Lord GOD keeps SHOWING that: "THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!"
Over and Over and Over!

OH!.............And another question I have concerning you.

I see on your "thumbnail" your "declaration of faith is "Other faith."
Is this the SAME "concealed identity church" as Wrangler's?

Why didn’t you ask @Wrangler?

****

I’ve identified by name every church I’ve ever been a member of, including the church that I pastored. I’ve even provided photographs and links for many of them.

I have no connection with his concealed identity church. I would tell you the name of it if I knew it.

If he had taught in any of the churches I’ve identified by name what he is teaching here, and if he refused to repent, I think every one of them would have put him out.

P.S.

You’ve presented Wrangler with another golden opportunity to publicly identify his concealed identity church. Let’s see what he does with it.

I approve of he who sits on his own thrown and the method that he has used to preserve the way of the Messiah. So do Jesus and the apostles.

If you wouldn't mind doin' me a solid here? As It really doesn't matter to me what the name or names of the churches you've attended are. Would rather know of which denomination of persuasion you are affiliated with, or to.

But getting back to the first part of my last post?
A further "explanation, or interpretation" of the term "ditch, or rut" needs a little more elaboration on. Of which sheds further "light" also as to THAT which the Lord God was referring to in Ezekiel 13: 14.
In showing that HE? When done in such way and ways that Jesus Christ of Nazareth deems "ACCEPTABLE TO GOD?" Communicates in such a way as to make it more "easily UNDERSTANDABLE" of the which, in THIS particular case? Is? More or less "street English!" Cliches and "phraseology's" INCLUDED!
What Lord God is describing in verse 14, is NOT of the "Upwards Progression" that is the "Required and NECESSARY direction that the "building of Bethel" NEEDS!
Because "THEN?" And ALSO "NOW?" The "continually building of the "wall/s" and being "daubed by UNTEMPERED MORTAR" is the LATERAL and NOT UPWARDS progression!
Thus? This constant "back and forth" and not upwards "building" is that which Messiah refers to as "DITCH" in the N.T. or? "RUT!"(same thing)

Luke 6:39
And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

I agree. That’s why I don’t say or use that motto.

I say we do what Jesus, the apostles, and the earliest followers of Jesus did for the first three centuries of Christian history and that it is the right thing to do because that is what they taught and did.

I’ve provided that information publicly, and multiple times, on this forum. I don’t mind providing it again for you, but first, I want to see you ask @Wrangler to do the same for you.

Ask yourself this question: Do cults ever conceal their identity? If they do, why do they? There’s always a reason for concealing.

I went back and checked. I’ve already given you, specifically, a link to that information. How many times are you going to ask me for it and then ignore it?

Have you ever asked @Wrangler for information about his concealed identity church? If you have, did he ever publicly or privately give it to you?

I would imagine, having been in, and still am, although to lessor degrees these days, in (a) similar "spiritual" training of either "learning, or BEING LEARNT (whatever it takes as well as however long it takes)?
That WHEN he's ready? He'll let us know!
As there WAS a time, and suppose, like I said earlier, STILL am, to a lessor degree during "my" training, which is VERY AKIN to this:
Isaiah 28:
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

For you see Matthias? I've "BEEN THROUGH THIS VERY THING!"

And well imagine? Wrangler is also!

I doubt that he’s ever going to let anyone here know. He’s concealing it for a reason. If that lid were ever to be lifted and the light shines on it, something he doesn’t want you or anyone else to know is going to cause a problem for him.

Go ahead and ask him. Let him say if he’s ready or not ready. He‘ll either give it to us or continue to keep it hidden from us. When I see you publicly ask him for it, I’ll give you the information you requested from and about me, for the second time.

I have nothing to conceal about my church denomination affiliation. He does about his.

This came on my U-toob feed today.......Go figure! Thank YOU LORD!
Those whom you keep" pegging as "War Mongering" Crusaders?
Is NOT the case at ALL!
Christians having "COMPASSION" FOR the early Christians WHO WERE BEING WIPED OUT BY ISLAM!
Just "Yah'-uh-'VAY" having HIS influence upon "those believers in Jesus Christ of Nazareth" who? In their COMPASSION FOR? WERE not AFRAID of shedding blood CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH! In and FOR the "PRESERVATION" OF the Faith! Something I'm in the hopes of you'll come to grips with!

I'll post it for you and your readers to peruse!:

Hoping in one hand and spitting in the other and see which one fills up first! Eh?

@Wrangler, you’ll recall, said that their warmongering was good and justified. I’d have to go back and look but either you or @Armour of God or both thought that was super.

Christians having "COMPASSION" FOR the early Christians WHO WERE BEING WIPED OUT BY ISLAM!

This was covered ad infinitum in the thread. They were so “compassionate” that they turned on one another.

The crusaders didn’t preserve my faith. They persecuted it. How could we be this far into the conversation and you missed that point?

My faith was preserved, the way it was preserved during the Apostolic and Ante Nicene eras of church history.

They didn’t preserve the faith of @Wrangler. They were trinitarians; he’s a unitarian. When did the Roman Catholic Church ever fight to preserve unitarianism?

A very short video on the Fourth Crusade.

@Wrangler @Armour of God

The crusaders’ “compassion” on display.

So shocking was the “compassion” that Pope John Paul II apologized for it in 2001.

“The fact that they were Latin Christians fills Catholic hearts with deep regret. How can we fail to see here the mysterium iniquitatis at work in the human heart?”

Your hearts aren’t filled with regret. You’ve failed to see “the mysterium iniquitatis at work in the human heart.”

We're approaching the 25th anniversary when Muslims were practicing Islam again with the full support of pacifists on 9/11.

Are you not familiar with the First Amendment of the US Constitution?

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
