It's possible to just walk away from God. I can do that if I wanted too. However my life has changed so much since brining God into my life I dont see any reason to walk away because of his help.

It's that simple.

you might be lost now, due to your continual sinning. If you can lose it, then it needs to go by a different name. Contingent salvation. and the only way of knowing if you make to heaven is once you die and you will know then.
Amen How can you "Know you have eternal life" As john said, if it is impossible to know?

Why do you say that? God has clearly told us HOW to be save. He has clearly told us to CONTINUE to abide in HIM. That is the way we know we are saved. We are not saved by trying to keep the law - that is impossible. But even though we will continue to sin, as long as we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior AND CONTINUE TO ABIDE IN HIM - WE ARE SAVED.
You can continue to abide, you will still fail to meet Gods standard. so how could that possibly help you to stay rescued. Plu. Would that not be keeping yourself saved?

Not of works lest anyone should boast.

Point is…
The Agreeing to Take of the Gift…
IS While a mans Body is Alive.

The Receipt of the Gift…
IS After a mans Body is Accounted Dead.
Not so. Jesus said:

(Joh 6:47) Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

Not "will have eternal life."
The Agreeing to Take of the Gift…
Has a Caveat…an “IF”…REQUIREMENT…

That Requirement “IS” …
True Heartful Belief, at the Time of the Body’s Death.

“IF” the Belief be True…(at bodily death)
The man IS or Shall be Saved.

“IF” the Belief be NOT…(at bodily death)
The man is NOT, nor will be Saved.

Men may be fooled.
God verifies.
God is NOT fooled.

Glory to God,
Taken
So where does that leave the assurance that John speaks of in his epistle?

(1Jn 5:13) These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Not, "You cannot be certain that you have eternal life until your earthly life ends."

It's that simple.
where can you go that God is not there. We cannot walk away from God.. even in the deepest cave, God is there. Not only this, But God knows everything we will do before we are even born

Psalms 139:
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?

8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

would this be losing salvation. Or would it be never saved?

Both.

In a natural minded comparison example…

IF you agreed to play the lottery…
Your agreement is established by you purchasing the ticket.

Once your numbers are drawn…
You HAVE won…the prize is yours…

There is a caveat… a “timeframe” for you to collect / receive your prize.

If you do NOT collect your “prize” within the “timeframe”… you LOSE / “forfeit” YOUR prize.

Salvation… is “an agreement”, established, by your “Heartful Belief”…The “prize” (salvation) is yours.

The “prize” is Collected, at a particular “timeframe”….—->AFTER a bodily death.

* bodily crucified with Jesus…
You receive the salvation prize / gift THEN.

* mortally / physically bodily dead…
You receive the salvation prize / gift THEN.

The difference…
Crucified with Jesus… your received Gift, is KEPT Secure by the Power of God.

Believing and waiting for mortal death to receive your gift….
Is Not secured by Gods Power…
You can at any time, be tricked, fooled, choose, to Stop Believing, and thus, will NOT receive the Gift.

There are Scriptures that WARN men… there ARE cunning Demonic powers greater than man, that continually seek to influence men to reject God…
There ARE Also…
Political kings, parents, teachers, celebrities, etc. that carry great influences and Power to encourage men, women and particularly children TO reject Belief / Agreement with the Lord God…

Assured security hangs on Gods Power “in a man” Keeping a mans Salvation assured.
(Called Converted)…

A believing man…without Gods “Power IN him”…is continually at risk of “losing / forfeiting” his salvation.

Glory to God,
Taken

Not so. Jesus said:

(Joh 6:47) Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

True.
Believes in Him… is a Requirement.

When does a Believing man RECEIVE his Gift?

1 Cor 15:
[36] Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

Not "will have eternal life."

Has eternal life….conditional IF he believes.

And… if one Stops believing?
Still has eternal life? No.

So where does that leave the assurance that John speaks of in his epistle?

(1Jn 5:13) These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Still conditional…
“You who believe”

Not, "You cannot be certain that you have eternal life until your earthly life ends."

False.
Crucified with Christ Jesus’ Body IS a bodily death, and thus the person, Receives his Salvation… prior to mortal death.

Bodily dead “WITH” Jesus…
In what body does such a man thereafter “live”?

In Jesus’ risen Body, until their own body is risen glorified…
Called IN Christ.

John 6:
[56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

Glory to God,

Is it possible to lose salvation?

YES!

By never Heartfully Believing the Gift was bought, paid for, for you.

Glory to God,
Taken
actually that is a solid fact .
SO tell me miss taken , DO YOU heartfully believe the gospel .
Which clearly speaks of the DIRE NEED to BELIEVE ON HIM , that GOD rose him from the dead and CONFESS HIM by mouth .
IF so amen . BUT IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE one MUST BELIEVE to be saved
THEN WHY are so many now running right into anti christ interfaith which has implied that all religoins b e serving the same God .
I mean DO YOU BELIEVE . IF so then why come does one beleive its not necessary for the false religoins to DO SO .
Cause that AINT HEARTFULLY BELEIVING . that is saying two plus two is four , when its conveinent
and then when others walk a path that says two plus two is five , or six , or seven , THEN one saying OH YEAH that is okay too .
SORRY taken but it sure appears to me that many are being TAKEN right to an itnerfaith interreligous lie of all lies
Which means OOPSY they never knew him . We cannot beleive TRUTH and A LIE . ITS one or its the other but NOT BOTH .
Every religoin be of satan and under the power and sway of darkness .
From every jew to every gentile all are under the power and sway of the dark one ,
TILL OF C OURSE , JESUS FREES THEM . OH YEAH , TIME TO PREACH THE REAL GOSPEL again
and ensure all flee from this ecumeincal nightmare too .

What was the KEY word . BELEIVE . exactly taken ,
Those who serve two gospels do not BELEIVE the ONE ONLY GOSPEL .
And you again are correct when you said false to that man .
CAUSE look real closely at what john told the churc h in his letter .
So that you may KNOW you have ETERNAL LIFE , and that you might BELIEVE On HIM .
But we all better beware taken , for many are being taken into a double speak false gospel .
One that says basically this , I beleive but its not necessary to believe. AND THAT A FALSE GOSPEL ALL THE WAY .
for if one says that , THEN its obvious they do not even BELEIVE the v ery gospel .
They believe the LIE that says oh its not necessary for others to do so . MAKING THEIR FAITH DEAD AS A DOORNAIL
and far less useful that a d oornail . Its not gonna bode well for the ecumeincal inclusive harlot
or her children on the day of all mighty GOD and of the LAMB .
SO either we BELIEVE or we dont , but it cannot be BOTH nor sold as both .
IT must be BELIEVED and then preached as a solid fact unto all , that indeed YE MUST BELIEVE ON HIM TO BE SAVED .
Lets go back to the original gospel of GOD , of the LAMB
who preached the peace of GOD . TO believe ON JESUS to be reconciled to GOD by faith in HIM and have PEACE WITH GOD .
cause hello miss taken
we got another one that has come in its own name and it t oo
claims and talks about PEACE , PEACE
But its peace has DENIED the dire necesity to have to beleive on JESUS .
NOW who would do such a thing .
THIS WOULD . HE who believes NOT that JESUS is the CHRIST , he is anti christ .
THA T IS precisly from whom this peace plan has come forth , OF MANY ANTI CHRISTS
to gather all religoins and tribes of men as one man for world peace . And surely will DESTROY MANY BY PEACE .
we better all watch out .

only one problem with this analogy.

The prize was collected the moment I won. Not only was it collected. It had the seal of the spirit as a pledge.

Paul says I am not only seated in heavenly places now. He says I have
Eph 1:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved

Of note.

We are already blessed with all things

We (who are we?) were chosen before the foundation of the world that we (again who are we) would be Holy and Without Blame

We were predestined (predetermined to be) Adopted as Gods children (again who are we)

He made us accepted. We did not make ourselves accepted. (again who are we?)

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and [b]prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, [c]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

We have been redeemed, our sins have been forgiven According to the richness of Gods grace (it is everlasting to everlasting) (who is we)

We have obtained an inheritance (again who is we)

We who first trusted Christ (We are those who have received Christ in faith)

13
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Again, we are those who trust, after we hear the word of truth, the gospel which saves us

Not only do we have all the things given already in our possession. We also have the seal of the spirit. Who is the pledge .. until resurrection day.. Our salvation is secure in him.. Nothing can separate us from the love of God

Eph 2
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the [a]course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

  • We are made alive, It is by Grace we have already been saved
  • We have been made to sit in heavenly places now
  • All of this is based on Gods grace, not because of our works (how good we are how bad we are. Or any type of religious works we may do) Lest we boast of saving ourselves.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

God changes us, The change has already happened. We are not waiting for our new creation. We already have it. Our new creation is now able to do works.. which we will do.

Please consider:

I do not believe Scripture supports the idea that a person can come to Christ and then live in permanent rebellion with no danger to his salvation.

Jesus said, “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered” (John 15:6). He also said, “He who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13). In the parable of the sower, Jesus described some who “believe for a while” and then fall away in time of testing (Luke 8:13).

Paul gives the same warning. In Romans 11, he tells Gentile believers that they stand by faith, but if they do not continue, they also will be cut off. In Galatians 5:4, he speaks of people who have “fallen from grace.” In Colossians 1:23, he says believers are reconciled if they continue in the faith.

Hebrews is even more direct. Hebrews 3 warns brethren not to develop an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God. Hebrews 6 speaks of those who were enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, became partakers of the Holy Spirit, and then fell away. Hebrews 10 warns about those who were sanctified by the blood of the covenant but later trample the Son of God underfoot.

Peter also says that some escape the pollution of the world through the knowledge of Christ, but then become entangled again, and their latter end is worse than the beginning.

So I believe salvation is by grace through faith, not by human works. But Scripture repeatedly warns believers to continue, abide, endure, and not turn away. These warnings are real, not empty. We are saved by faith, but saving faith must remain living faith.
Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sounds lovely indeed . But not if we preach belief and unbelif .
Not if we simply say I beleive but its okay that them other religoins do not .
No . For we cannot be as the many who cliam to say I believe but then imply through intefaith its not necessary to do so .

My question/concern is that since faith/trust/belief in the death/burial/resurrection of Christ (1 Cor 15:1-4) is what saves you then that faith/belief/trust needs to be ongoing not just once off but I could be wrong eg 2 Tim 2 :13

So that's why I ask for the verses where Paul teaches that a Eph 1:13, Eph 4:30 sealed believer can become UNSealed.
I agree. You can not be unborn, Nicodemus said that. Or, as you put it, sealed believers can not be unsealed. The believer has fulfilled all the stipulations for salvation. Faith alone in Christ alone.

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

Notice that those he also glorified is in the past tense. We were justified upon the basis of faith in Christ. The future aspect of salvation has already taken place in Paul's mind. We are glorified, on the basis of Positional Truth (in Christ), and you don't have to understand what it means (just the faith of a child), just any amount of faith that is more than none at all.
