I have no problem with that at all. My problem is with those who claim there should be no separation, and are even now forming a union in order to "Christianise" America through legislation. I see great dangers in that not just for those whose Christian principles don't align with the "common good" philosophy being marketed, but for your nation as a whole.
If this is still about Project 25- we talked about that a few yrs ago.. did you ever get a copy of the book they had out? It's been revised a zillion times now. There is not one thing in it that even slightly resembles a Sunday law. Absolutely Nothing.
There is even an SDA who is for it all. Ben Carson.
So whoever is feeding you these lies is not being honest with you.
The only things in it that could be called "Christian" but certainly not limited to Christians - would be this which is-
taken straight from a very detailed rebuttal to project 25 by a current leftist Congressman- he is outraged by this--

"Vought has close ties to Christian nationalist William Wolfe, who has advocated for overturning same-sex marriage, ending abortion, and reducing access to contraceptives. “

Please understand that Nationalist doesn't mean anything like what they try to make it sound like. It is a term made up to sound scary for the left. Propaganda- to them anyone patriotic or moral ---and not left leaning is a "white" nationalist, or a "christian" nationalist etc
They mean nothing other than- be very afraid- don't vote for them! Hitler is coming- scare tactics of the left and all they do is lie to keep votes of the antichrist left. They called trump a nationalist- because he wanted to make America his top priority. Isn't that what all presidents should do? Globalists do not agree with that.

Plus the fact that let's pretend the USA made a you can only go to church on Sunday "law":- That would enrage Jews, Muslims and frankly most of the nation- not only SDA's. I don't think people would cooperate.-- But how does a US law control the globe? It doesn't.
The other thing is this- IF that happened why couldn't SDAs gather on Sunday and still keep the Sabbath on Saturday in your home?
The Sabbath doesn't require you to go to church. Just rest from work-

Do you understand that we also have Marxists here and all sorts of crazy ideas?
The Constitution makes it impossible to Christianize thru legislation. That's precisely what the 1st amendment says. The government can not tell us what faith to be, or how to practice it, or make any LAW forcing anyone to be any certain faith.

We have people here constantly yelling "separation of church and state" when they have no idea what it means, or that it is not even Constitutional language. I gave you the amendment. Did you see that?

Finally this read up on the Heritage Foundation- This is who you are afraid of. There is nothing to be afraid of.
There are articles about project 25- do search on there. It is nothing to be concerned about.

Are you confusing project 25 with the UN Agenda 2030? (formerly agenda 21). They are NOTHING alike at all.

The corrupt media has made frenzy over them as the left politicians have-- because they are Christians who want to end abortions and gay marriages.
Notice they never speak about UN Agenda 21/2030. Now, that is something to be concerned about. And it IS happening.

What legislation are you talking about?
SDA's believe that a group of Christians will influence the government to make a Sunday law that prevents them from going to church on Saturdays.
It's false- the group they focus on is doing no such thing and even has an SDA member backing them.
.
For SDA's this is from their prophet (Ellen White) who taught that the mark of beast will be going to church on Sundays and they will all be persecuted.
This is all fear based on wrong information and it's really sad. But I can never get them to listen. It's their main claim.

It reminds me of Jws listening to their prophet and the unfounded fears they believe. Both groups came out of the Millerites as well as other groups after their prophecy for Jesus' return did not come true.
They have several things in common.-- many things different - both are "the only true church".

I remember the Blue Laws. All businesses and State and Federal places were closed on Sunday.
But no one said you had to do anything like go to church on that day.
Only the little convenience stores were open. I don't even think gas stations were open.

When was that like in the 70's?
Eventually the blue laws disappeared.
I would have to go back and research on it.

Historical Background

The earliest American blue laws date back to the colonial period. Virginia enacted a law in 1610 requiring Sunday church attendance, while Massachusetts passed a law in 1671 banning unnecessary work, travel, and recreation on Sundays. The term "blue laws" may have originated from Connecticut laws described by Reverend Samuel Peters in 1781 or as a reference to Puritanical strictness, though the exact origin remains uncertain. These laws were enforced to regulate morality, including prohibitions on gambling, dancing, and alcohol consumption.

So prior to America having it's own Constitution and still under British rule.
It carried over from colonialism even to the Supreme Court under the New Constitution.

In the United States, the Supreme Court has upheld blue laws as constitutional if they serve a secular purpose, such as providing a day of rest, even though they originated from religious motivations. The landmark case McGowan v. Maryland (1961) confirmed that Sunday closing laws are permissible under the Constitution when justified for secular reasons, like worker protection and societal stability.

So it went from mandated to permissible in 1961 for secular reasons.
Interesting.

Today, blue laws are unevenly enforced across the U.S., with many states repealing or relaxing them, while others maintain specific restrictions . Alcohol sales are the most common remaining restriction, with states like Texas, Utah, and Mississippi limiting Sunday sales. Car dealerships are prohibited from operating on Sundays in several states, including Illinois, Indiana, and New Jersey. Hunting restrictions persist in states such as Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Local jurisdictions, like Bergen County, New Jersey, enforce broader retail restrictions, including bans on clothing, electronics, and furniture sales on Sundays.

Blue laws are not unique to the U.S. In Europe, countries like Germany, Austria, Norway, and Poland enforce Sunday closures for retail stores, while others, such as Denmark and the Netherlands, have relaxed restrictions but maintain certain limits to protect church services.

The only places I know of that are closed on Sundays are your State and Federal Government entities, like the United States Post Office.
Courthouses, even though I have noticed that some cases are even being held on Sundays lately. Your City Hall or State Capitol.
But the people aren't under law to observe it for religious reasons.

So originally there was a Sunday Law that was under British Rule until 1776 when we FOUGHT for our Independence from both the King and the Pope.

If we hadn't FOUGHT for our Independence we would still be subject to Britain and probably Rome as well.

People say we shouldn't fight, we shouldn't defend our faith, we should just submit to the devil and call it a day.
I disagree.

Well the topic of the thread is meant to make people aware of what is going on behind the scenes in our Government.
Although the discussion of what or which denomination is right or wrong is not the core message.
The message is or the question is:
Why is the Pentagon making lists of peoples religious preferences?
That's what I really would like to get to the bottom of.
And I put this thread here so you would all be aware that something don't feel right.
We are in the middle of a war with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
China for the most part is not a friend of Jesus.
The Europeans have gone woke and are being run over by the Islamists.
Christians are being slaughtered in Nigeria.

The world has become a dangerous place for those who profess Jesus as Lord.

So what is our government up to?
Will we be defended or given over to the wolves?

Psyops everywhere, all the time every day. It's getting exhausting.
But we can't just give up our faith and our beliefs.
It's almost as if we are living in Acts 2.0
I refuse to go "underground" and hide my Faith.
The question is:
Will you be willing to fight for it?

I think we're going to find out.
soon,

“11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ”
Revelation 13:11-17 KJV

Beasts are not individual people. They are political powers. God is utterly consistent with His prophetic symbolism. The beasts of Daniel were empires. Each one became a philosophical composite in the sea beast of Revelation 13:1,2. That beast is the matured representation of the little horn that grew from the 4th beast. The Catholic papacy. A union of church and state that persecuted Christians for over 1000 years.
The land beast of Revelation 13 is to form an image to that union of church and state that dominated the dark ages (which modern American politicians and historical revisionists are attempting to paint as a "golden age" of religious power and authority). That metamorphosis is taking place right now on your TV screen. So, these political powers. How do they speak? That image results from a metamorphosis from the original democratic Republic your nation was founded on. It ends up speaking like the dragon. (Satan). How does a religious/ political union speak? Through legislation.
The Catholic Church is the most law oriented institution on the planet. It inherited that trait from Rome. Specifically from Justinian. The papacy however rejected the democratic form of government developed by Greece, and choose rather the more authoritarian model exemplified by the Medo- Persians from which it developed the idea of infallibility.
“Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. ”
Daniel 6:8 KJV

Vestiges of the philosophies of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome reside in the beast and are readily recognisable in modern Catholicism. She isn't called Babylon the Great for nothing.
Can I modify the above somewhat, as I think the way I've presented it may offer a wrong impression.
When I speak of a union of church and state, I am basing the concept solely on prophecy. In Revelation we are shown a vision of a woman riding a beast. Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots. Women throughout scripture are used as metaphors for the church... for God people. A pure woman such as in Revelation 12, the true faithful God fearing church. Our the impure woman as in Revelation 18, an unfaithful harlot committing fornication with the kings of the earth, and this committing spiritual adultery, is a depiction of an apostate church rejecting her former Lover Christ, in favour of seeking aid and strength and political capital from state governments. This is certainly a union of sorts, but a union of convenience whereby the church is using the state as a vehicle for accomplishing her goals. We have read of a number of types in biblical history where this had played out, and never once for the benefit of God's people. Jezebel using Ahab to introduce idolatry and paganism into Israel, the church. Herodias using Herod and being called out by John the Baptist and losing his head as a result. Both illicit relationships between church and state, in type.
This union between Babylon and the state is not a partnership. It is dominionism whereby the church dominates and dictates to the state what must be. She has the reins, does the steering, dictates direction, speed, and general progress. Yet is using the state to prop her spiritual weaknesses through politics and law. This is a it was on the dark ages when the Catholic Church used various state powers, kings and queens and princes when they were cooperative, to uphold her power and authority.
Revelation 13 is a precise picture of a repeat of this scenario, but instead of the Catholic Church power per se demanding power over the state, it is an apostate Protestant church dominating the state and who will use the state to advance the power and authority of the papacy. So the separation of church and state doesn't really apply because none is seeking a true union or partnership as such, but dominionism, using the so called 7 mountain mandate, is seeking to dominate the state and demand the state to go where the church wills.
This is what is currently taking place now in America.

It "seems" to these eyeballs anyway, that you've pretty much interpreted the "Parable of the 10 virgins."
Meaning? You Keep giving 'em oil? They'll keep takin' and "wasting it!"
Until
the 5 "wise Virgins" BECOME as depleted of oil as their "foolish sisters!"
And? That AIN'T NO GOOD FOR NOBODY!

There's a reason the Pentagon has a list.

I gleaned this from Google.

The Pentagon maintains a list of official Religious Affiliation Codes primarily to streamline the tracking of troop demographics so military chaplains can properly allocate resources, fulfill last rites, and organize faith-specific services. Because the vast majority of religious service members identify as Christian, the list historically required a breakdown of specific denominations to ensure troops received accurate theological and pastoral care.

The list is also detailed here in a recent article.

Yep, Blue laws were never Federal laws.
Only states and local distrusts enacted them.
The Quakers in PA enacted a go to church on Sunday law in the 1600's. The SDA religion did not exist then, so a non issue.
However, it did not prevent a person from going to church another day. The Quakers did not punish people for disobeying blue laws.
That law of course was 400 yrs ago and is long gone.
PA ruled that as unconstutional years ago.

The vast majority of Blue laws just closed businesses, so that people could go to church, so they not were not being forced to go to work by their employer--- They not forced to go to church- and never forbidden to go on a different day.
These various laws varied by state. Some closed liquor stores, some grocery, some both and so on. If something is not in the Constitution it is left up to the states. In PA- car sales are still not allowed on Sundays. No clue why.

The Supreme Court has ruled that blue laws are constitutional IF they don't infringe on freedom of religion and are for secular purposes.
They are meant to give people a day off from work so they can go to church if they chose to or not go and just have a day off. It does not mean you couldn't go church another day.
No one can be made to go to church and no one's freedom to worship another day will be taken away per the Constitution.

Muslims gather on Fridays. Jews- Saturdays- Christians- Sundays and other days/eves.
I know that if an SDA is a nurse or doctor- they can work on Saturday if they give their pay to the church.... which is odd.

Project 25 has never spoken about bringing back Sunday laws, and since they are very pro- freedom of religion and Constitutional they would never ban an SDA from worship on Saturday or anyone else.

You are very naive if you believe a future Sunday law will not have as an adjunct an eventual law that forbids Sabbath observance. Otherwise the entire reason for the promotion of Sunday becomes invalidated, and the motives behind the legislation void. A dominant global Catholic Church will never approve of true Sabbath freedoms any more that she did in her past history.

I see it as naïve to believe that the mark of the beast is what you have been taught. You think Catholics will do that and I can only say that I find it sad that you think that. I'm not Catholic, but if anyone would do something like that it would more likely to be the Muslims in order to upset the Jews.
So I ask you again though- IF that happened- why would it be so awful to stay home on Saturday? There was never a law to go to church,. Stay home and worship and gather the next day. Why is that so horrid? Jews are not commanded to go to church on the Sabbath- instead, the Sabbath is a day of rest and family worship at home. Corporate worship at a synagogue is a tradition- a custom, but it is not mandated. Never was.
What is the big deal?

I see it as naïve to believe that the mark of the beast is what you have been taught.
It is what the scriptures reveal, and the beast itself boasts that Sunday sacredness is a mark of her authority in that she has the power to establish feast days and sacred days in the place of God's anointed day. There's a chain of scripture that leads one to the inevitable concision that keeping the commandments of man or keeping the commandments of God is thy final test for mankind. No the Bible doesn't teach that Catholics will establish
And no-one, neither you nor your church or anyone else, has come up with a viable biblical alternative.
You think Catholics will do that and I can only say that I find it sad that you think that.
No, the Bible does not teach that Catholics are to establish the mark. It teaches that Protestant America will, and enforce it, and that will spread globally. Name another country on earth with the power and and strength to do such a thing.

Sabbath observance will be execration and forbidden, and those who persist after having been starved and made homeless, fined, and jailed, will be killed. That's the big deal.

So we have gone from a government purge of paying for "chaplains" up to 190k a year, meals, wheels and housing included, to give "comfort" to those entities who consider themselves a Religious outreach organization, to Sunday Laws and Sabbath Observances and the mark of the beast.
Focus.

A horrible thought, yes. However, such a prohibition will not happen in the United States of America.
Our First Amendment right to exercise religious freedom assures that.

It's Ellen's interpretation of a prophecy. Therefore- shouldn't we look closely at this prophet and test things? I had to do that with JW prophecies that I was taught. I had to verify or dismiss them based on scripture AND also by the "prophet" who spoke them. I had no choice but to dismiss what I had been taught.
The 2 religions have ties in the past- and both have turned a prophecy about Jesus' return that did not occur- into invisible events that no one can verify. Both religions hold those invisible events as key to their specific beliefs.
Do you see that?

I have read some of Ellen G White's stuff. If it was from God it would be consistent. She was not.
As per her writings- In order to receive the mark of the beast one must:

  1. "Cease from labor on Sunday" and ...
  2. "Worship God" on Sunday
In 1883 she taught that when you go to church on a Sunday you receive the mark of the beast.
In 1902 she taught that 7th Day Adventists were to show their wisdom by refraining from ordinary work on that day.

So- She directed SDAs to keep Sunday the same way all conscientious Sunday observers do.
She instructed them to hold religious "meetings" and do "missionary work".
They are to refrain "from their ordinary work on that day."
She stated "this way of spending Sunday is always acceptable to the Lord."
That's a contradictory mess.

She also most certainly plagiarized and quite often.

By her push to sell her books for profit she became very wealthy.- The equivalent of many many millions today. They owned many homes, and after her husband died she lived in exquisite luxury.
I would caution you to be cautious of her interpretations of prophecy.
For me- it's clear that the NT does NOT teach what she did. So when I read her stuff I was not looking for a further reason to discredit her.

This makes no sense. Again- the Sabbath only required a day of rest and family worship at home.

Half of your post is nonsense. Cut away the rumours and lies and i will take more notice of you.
There is nothing wrong with worshipping on a Sunday. Or doing missionary work. Worshipping on Sunday is not the mark of the beast, or else we would all be guilty. Isuggest you revise your reading material from Ellen White and make sure that
a. It is actually here and not be enemies misquotes, and
b if it is hers, read thy context and he other works on the dame subject to get a clear picture.
You can worship also on Mondays and Thursdays. No problem. Doing such does not contravene a commandment of God. However when such a law is accepted nationally in so much as man's commandments replaces the sabbath, then the commandment becomes void. The Sabbath, , defiled. When a man-created day having no sanctity whatsoever and no sanction from God is uplifted above God's holy day, then it is the mark of the beast.
When man honours the authority of the papacy above the scriptures, then it is the mark of the beast. When man knows all the arguments for and against the true Sabbath and persists in his disobedience in favour of Sunday, because he sincerely believes the lie, then it is the mark in the head/ conscience. If he favours Sunday above the Sabbath knowing the sabbath is the true Lord's day, for whatever reason, it becomes the mark in the hand. He's accepting the lie for work, for money, for popularity, for escaping censure, for fear of ridicule, etc etc.

Did Paul teach keep the Sabbath as a justification requirement today ?
Col 2:16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
