As a student of history, I generally prefer to start at the beginning. What does the LORD think of Christian nationalism?
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD said[a] to Abram, “Go from your country[b] and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation.

God is not a Globalist but a nationalist.
A. He recognizes the Pagan country that Abram and his family live in.
B. He commands colonialism, going to another land. The purpose for which is:
C. To make a new nation, a nation that will become great due to the people God has chosen, i.e., not multiculturalism, not the perversion that everyone is equal in God's eyes.

What do you make of these verses @Ziggy in the context of Patriotism?
Listen, You already know who that trigger is for my friend,
and it definitely is not you.
God Bless You

Yup. I already posted that same post in that other thread.

She said there is a galore of verses for a certain topic. Given the Bible is made up of 66 books, I suspect there are a galore of verses for a lot of topic, including nationalism. It will give me great pride to compile them for everyone's edification. It's the LORD's work we do.

Only a few verses later we come across this. Genesis 12:10
Abram and Sarai in Egypt
10 Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land.

A nation that has endured from BEFORE Abram to the modern era. Abram left the land of Haran and arrived where the LORD told him. However, it was inhospitable. Did God tell him to deal with it? Did God condemn him for seeking refuge from the famine? No.

The political leader of Egypt, the Pharaoh, met the Patriarch of our faith. Abram left in peace. In Chapter 13:3 the LORD recognizes 3 countries, the Negeb, Bethel and Ai. What a nationalist our God is, eh? He doesn't condemn his chosen people's colonialism but guides it. Who knew?!

Jesus said:
Luk 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

He never said, that he would give them power to tread on us.

Deu 8:20
As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

Let's not fail Him again.

@Wrangler

My husband also says that everyone is not equal in God’s eyes through his study of the Bible and life experience. He also says false equality has caused a lot of issues. I agree with him. I wonder if you could expound a little?

Pro 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

yeah yeah, when those in authority do what's right, the people rejoice.

Great verse! It makes it even more bewildering for Christians to suppose we are better off being ruled by atheists and satanists than righteous Christians. @Bombastic, a few years ago I started a poll. Shocked I was how few here didn‘t answer no, we are NOT better off ruled by Atheists and Satanists. Thoughts?

The word patriot signifies a person who loves their country and is ready to boldly support and defend it. That meaning has endured since the word's arrival in English in the 16th century, but it has not marched through the years unchallenged.

Ultimately derived from Greek patrios, meaning "of one’s father," patriot entered English via French patriote—meaning "fellow countryman" or "compatriot"—during a time of political unrest in western Europe that was characterized by infighting among fellow countrymen—especially among those of the Protestant and Catholic faiths.

For much of the 17th century, words like good were attached to patriot to distinguish patriots who shared both a love of country and a common allegiance from those having opposing beliefs and loyalties: to be deemed a "good patriot" was to be a lover of country who agreed on political and/or religious matters with whoever was doing the deeming.

Patriot was used to mean "good patriot" without modification more frequently by the end of the 17th century, but it tended to apply to a supporter of the ruling monarchy.

Another effect of the tumultuous times was the development of a derogatory use of patriot to refer to hypocritical patriots: people who claimed devotion to one's country and government but whose actions or beliefs belied such devotion. This ultimately led to the discrediting of the loyalty and steadfastness associated with the word patriot.

The years leading up to the American Revolutionary War further propagated the notion of patriot as a name for a seditious rebel against the monarchy. American writers of the 18th century, however, heartily embraced the word to define the colonists who took action against British control. As tensions continued to escalate, a new meaning of patriot came to the forefront, referring to a person who advocates or promotes the independence of their land or people from the country of which they are a colony. Benjamin Franklin provides an early record of this use.

In the end, the patriots won the war and, centuries after America’s Declaration of Independence, patriot has held its place of honor in the English language as the meritorious name for the brave men and women of the armed forces who defend the rights and freedoms of their country. Stripped of all past disparagement, the word has returned to its original meaning: "one who loves his or her country."

Today, active fighting or resistance is not a requirement to being a patriot: a person only needs a strong sense of love for one’s country.

Hugs
Curious, is anyone here active duty military or a veteran? If so, what branch? Not meaning to hijack this thread but along the lines of what I am reading.

half the people relate to them.
It's that Authority they don't like, no discipline.
Some say they have daddy issues.
That would make sense.
Our Father, is anathema to them.

I don't believe Trump is "righteous" but I do believe he does things for the right reasons.

You watch that fraud and abuse committee I posted, It's disgusting how much theft and thievery is in this country.
Then they blame the admin for cutting back on funding, DUH.
All because of "Covid" .
What a SCAM.

having trouble with focus tonight.
nap time bbl.

I exhausted myself on this subject in the attached article link but also spread it out across other articles. I would like to post the content here, but the problem with that online is that my site won't receive the credit for the original work. I unfortunately believe a lot of people will be disturbed, and it will bother them. I don't see any resemblance today in comparison to 1776.

By the way, I have tickets to go see "Young Washington" with my wife on a date night at the theaters. It is hitting the cinemas this 3rd of July. Looks like it has the right amount of action to keep the brothers interested and the women covering their eyes.

I don't have any family in the Military, but I do appreciate everything they do to keep our country safe.
Hugs
My grandfather was Navy, my father is Army, and my cousins are Army; specifically, some are Ranger Recon, and others are enlisted or officers. I scored too high on the ASVAB I guess, to join the majority of my Army family members. :confused
Found some memorabilia from when I served in the USAF as an F-16 crew chief. The top round is 30mm from an A-10. I was stationed at Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC, and remember the day Myrtle Beach AFB closed and all the A-10 squadrons transitioned to our base. The reason why I kept the A-10 round was for a memory of those Warthog crews coating the rounds w/ pig grease. Those A-10s can be wicked overhead, providing close ground support. From what I hear, certain religions or extremists detest swine.

If anybody is interested in why I joined, I say today for the military discounts, the 10% I'd have to wait for a senior citizen discount. :csm
In all seriousness, some memorable times. Patches from my squadron and a top round from an A-10's 30mm. A little measurement for perspective.

I grew up in Delaware, so I'm kind of interested in seeing some of the historical landmarks, including the historic crossing of the DE river by Colonial General Washington. I haven't been back to DE since I enlisted at the age of 18. I'm in my mid 50s now.
