As Amigo said, the goodness of God (His grace) leads is to repentance. Once we accept the sacrifice of Christ being a personal propitiation for our sin, and receive Christ into our lives, we must continue to grow. We can never presume upon God that all is hunky dory while we continue to live according to the world. Jesus said except we forsake all, we are not His. The way is narrow and self denying. And further, having once accepted Christ, does not remove the power of the individual to turn again to the vomit if be chooses to.
So are you saying you have completely and absolutely forsaken every thing of the world in thought, word and deed? If not you do not belong to Jesus according to your claims.

but the Bible says different. When one is saved, they are saved forever. Teh bible is clear and unambiguous on this.

As for teh Peter verse you misquote, it is not a saved person Peter referred to but one like in Hebrews who has been enlightened and understood the way of salvation, to reject it.

A saved person will not be perfect in all their ways, just forgiven and being made holy by the covenant the Father made with the Son on our behalf.

yes the apostolic authority established by Christ

how do you know what is and what is not the word of God?

do you believe that the word of God is limited to sacred scripture?

many time sacred scripture has multiple plausible interpretations, how do we know which is true when sacred scripture does not tell us?

The Holy Spirit.
Example. When a young Christian and just learning what truth and the gospel is, having emerged from being raised in Catholicism, I was visiting a friend and he had a book on the coffee table in the living room. I had never seen it before. I picked it up and flipped open the first page and this deep nausea settled in my stomach that I had to put the book down and rush to the bathroom. After a short moment it settled down. Came back to the lounge and picked up the book again. Same sickly feeling came over me again. Again, I put the book down and rushed out, to have the feeling go almost immediately. Again, I returned, sat down, picked up the book, a third repeat. I put the book down and realized this was supernatural. It was the holy Spirit saying don't touch, it's not for you. "Touch not the unclean thing". Never felt unwell again while I was at that house. My young wife and I later lived there for a couple of years when the friend moved on. Later I learned intellectually the danger of that book, and never bothered it again. The book?
The Book of Mormon. At the time, i didn't even know who Mormons were., had never heard of them.
While not to that extreme physical event with the Holy Spirit emphasizing, "pay attention", I have had many moments when I knew not to dive deeper, read further, enquire after, investigate more, because of the gift of the Holy Spirit. Discernment is paramount especially in these last days when Jesus said there would be many false prophets, false Christs, and man deceiving man on every level.

All sin is mortal. The Catholic concept of mortal versus venial sin is unbiblical.

Once again sin is not the issue. When one accepts Jesus as Savior and Lord, they have become a new Creature. The old one ( the old man who was condemned) and we have become the children of God. All of our sins ,even future ones were erased (atoned for).

As it says in Hebrews "He has made perfect forever, those He is sanctifying". This simply means God has declared us His children, Sealed us with the Spirit until teh day of redemption, declared the old man dead, hides us in Christ, and will confomr us into teh image of Jesus.

These are not a license to sin. When one is born again, we will gorw more and more to hate din, and desire to grow into Christ likeness. We have forever passed from death to life.

1 John 5:16
If any man see his brother sin a sinwhich is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sinunto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
1 John 5:17
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

That is speaking of physical death and not spiritual death in the lake of fire. We are born with a sin nature and are condemned because of it. A person does not go to the lake of fire because of sin, but because they rejected Gods only acceptable payment for sin, trusting solely in the death and resurrection of Jesus for their sin.

So then you believe that the blood Jesus shed on the cross does not forgive all sin.

spiritual death! do you see your brother sin only once!

proof you can be born again, justified, new creation, having passed from death to life, and have your name written in the book of life and still be eternally lost!

it does and in the sacrament of baptism all past sins are "washed" away by the grace that proceeds from the merits of the blood and death of Jesus but after that commiting the sin unto death separates us from God and His grace causing spiritual death requiring repentance and confession and return to Christ!

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

back to Christ, grace, life and peace with no condemnation!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

So according to you, when Jesus said in JOhn that "I give them eternal life and they shall never perish" He lied!

He also lied when He said "no man can pluck them out of my hand".

He also lied when He said " No man can pluck them out of my Fahters hand"

He also lied when He said " All who come to me, I will in no wise cast out"

Now you need to learn the difference between the book of life and the Lambs book of life. Anyone can be erased from teh book of life, but no one can be erased from the Lambs book

So how many times have you returned to the flesh by committing any sin?

So Paul lied in this very chapter later on when He said:

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You need to learn how far the blood Jesus shed for us has cleansed us from all sin- even future.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

If you are being made holy (sanctified), then God has already perfected you!

In early Acts eg 2:44-45, Acts 4:32-37 they were ALL together and ALL sold everything.
Why don't ALL believers do that today ?
What do you believe changed between EARLY Acts & today ?
Actually, nothing has changed.
I am of Paul, I am of Apollos, I am of Barnabas, I am of Silas, I am of John Mark....etc, etc, etc.
For since the Fathers have fallen asleep, all things continue as they were.

So Jesus lied.

Judas was never saved.
To fall from grace is not to lose your salvation. Grace is not earned but is a gift.
Book of life is better translated as the book of the living.
When someone is saved they become a child of God and passed from death to life.

As it is written, " You are dead and your life is hidden with Christ in God, when Christ who is our life appears, then we shall appear wioth HIm".. shall, not might.

When given eternal life it is just that- eternal, not probationaru and maybe temporary.

Sin is no longer the issue! When one trusts Christ as their Savior through His death and physical resurrection, their sins are atoned for. And that means erased- All of their sins- and yues even th eones they have not committed.

Your exegesis is faulty for you come from a wrong starting p[oint. That teh blood of Jesus is not enought to keep a person saved.

So as you freely admit you still sin like the rest of Christianity, you believe that you have lost, gained. lost regained, relost, regained your salvation over and over agaian.

Teh blood of Jesus has saved you if you trust in HIs death alone as the full payment for all your sin.
