It is worldly to go on and on about the objects of bread and figs and temples, when the subject is Christ. Object vs. Subject. Simple enough. And you can spot them even here on Christianity Board. Look for them. Understand just where they're coming from--understand that they themselves don't even understand.
Even every prophetic future event. Is God Himself really going on and on about worldly things? No, but heavenly. And yet you see these sort of lessor riddles being preached here too. So worldly. So sad. Such a disservice actually.
Everything written points to God--whatever it seems to be about--but God speaks, and the scriptures are written, in parable fashion, as so many object lessons, mostly not about the object, but having a completely different subject. On earth as it is in heaven--yes, that is a prayer and a promise--but only given here in likeness. It's a form of teaching--teaching children. But the riddles are already given, given that we might learn what God is really getting at--not that we should imagine and elaborate great worldly fulfillment. If that were the case, Jesus would have prayed "On earth as it is on earth."
Meanwhile, such teachers of the lesser riddles should be understood for what they are, and avoided. Seek God--not the object fulfillment of worldly examples.
