Reader,

To deny yourself, in contemporary lingo, simply means to serve a cause greater than your own self-interest.

This means you REALIZE that this is available as a lifestyle choice.
So, in the case of "denying yourself"..as the NT explains it......it means that you should put God first in your life at all times, without reservation or double-mindedness.
You choose to deny what you would naturally want to do to please yourself, most of the time.... as your first response and first lifestyle choice. And instead you choose to SERVE GOD instead.....as the #1 Position in your life.

A.) "Present your body as a living sacrifice to God, which is your resaonable SERVICE"...>Paul Teaches.

See that "SERVICE"?.::....to God? This has to become the center of your life, the core of your thinking, the root of your actions, and your utmost LOVE.

Listen,
God gave His only Son for you, Reader.
What are you willing to give Him......... = now defines the depth of your loyalty to God, and love for God.
Another way to think of it is....what are you willing to give up...for God?

That is how you "deny yourself" and "carry your Cross" regarding Christianity.

How to! I wonder how many more 'how to's' are coming down the pike
Now, with all those 'how to's' dished out already, I wonder if the master of 'how to' has surmounted the 'how to' mountain himself?
