Jesus had already raised the Temple of his body long before the Physical temple was destroyed.
I doubt very much the Disciples saw any fulfillment of Matt 24 when Jesus was actually raised from the dead.

They were to flee the city before the impending destruction of the temple in Matt 24, yet Jesus instructed his disciples to stay in the city after his death until Pentecost and beyond to take the Gospel to the whole world.
Clearly not talking about the same event as raising the true temple of his body in 3 days.
