Wurmbrand had a personal experience that you and I haven’t had. I want to learn from his experience by reading about it rather than learn from the experience of personally going through it. The former has happened; the latter might happen. If the latter does happen, my faith (and my witness) will be severely tested. Will I suffer and die for my faith? You pointed out to me that the apostles did.

A few days ago I posted two quotes from Wurmbrand that have garnered no public reaction:

But we know that he isn’t different. What is different is that the new creation has begun with the coming of the Messiah, and with that, a new way of living. (The life man was intended to live from the beginning.)

The Messiah has commanded us to live as he modeled it until he returns.

Something changes in the way his followers live when he returns. There is a piece of unfinished business, as it were. Think David.
