I do not want that weight on me.

That’s your thing then and your husband obliges you. There is nothing wrong with that.

My wife doesn’t want me to have all the weight on me, so, she takes a bit of the load from me. She does this without me ever asking her to do it. She just does it.

This whole 50/50 thing in marriage is wrong, I’m not even sure that it is 100/100. Some days it may be 50/50, other days 40/60, and yet other days 75/25, etc. It just depends on the day. Maybe she’s not feeling well, so I do more, and the reverse is true. We support each other day in and day out and pick up the slack when needed.

I do agree with this. It's not about constantly comparing who is doing what but supplying what's needed. Some days its more, some days its less .

A lot of young men are opting out of marriage today. I would rather that, than people end up in disastrous marriages. It's odd to say it because marriage has given me a sense of purpose and identity. But we live in a "me first and only" culture that is not conducive to marriage.

Men in the west are taught to treat women well in a relationship but not what to expect from one in return. Men are still taught a sense of duty that is required. Women of my generation were taught self-love and careerism.

The bible teaches that the man must lead and that his wife must submit. They are to be a one flesh union, not separate visions or goals. This is the way to a strong marriage foundation. And I can attest to the blessings of that design.

A comedian, Aaron Pryor, I believe, said men aren’t afraid of marriage; they’re afraid of divorce.

I shouldn’t have got married and certainly won’t do it again. The common denominator is the women refuse to submit when they need to. No one can lead unless another follows.

My husband and I were both raised in wife-in-charge type households. I saw firsthand that even though my mom deliberately chose a passive man, she was exhausted and not suited to lead the household.

Leadership is not an easy task.

Women are certainly rebelling against God, but there's another side to it. Many women married and were abused for much of their lives, basically being slaves to their masters, their husbands. So men are certainly to blame for much of it. We are all humans and sin! No point in blaming each other. We will all answer for ourselves on Judgment Day.

Lack of accountability is more a problem for women in the west. If a woman is abused, she can go to the police, a domestic violence shelter, and get a lot of support.

A Man who is abused has less resources and can even be accused of abuse himself.

Yes! And the US court system is a total joke. There are plenty of Lefties who will LIE like the Devil to convict a conservative. And many more Liberal Judges than conservatives! Satan is BUSY! Look out for Sharia Law!!!

My first marriage was a train wreck, due to my wife cheating on me repeatedly. It took a few years for me to discover her infidelities. I divorced her. This disaster made me hate the very words marriage, wedding, matrimony, wife…for decades.

But when I got sick of just having girlfriends always changing, I told God, “Lord, I need a wife”.

Aside from getting saved as a teenager, my God-given wife was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I have no idea how anybody can go through life as a single person. To me, that is a nightmare.

God said it is not good for man to be alone. That was certainly true in my case.

If you both love God first and each other second, and you both have some maturity and selfless devotion, godly marriage is more wonderful than any other experience you could ever have.
