Who is this descriptive of? The righteous or the unrighteous? *Notice in 1 Corinthians 6:9 that Paul said - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
*Notice what Paul said in Galatians 5:21 - ..those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. *Now notice what John said in 1 John 3:9 - No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Certainty opens a dimension you have no idea of.
Your attempts to make God in mans image creates a distortion you don't recognise, let alone understand.
Paul is not Luke, Hebrews, John, James etc.
Patience is a good thing yet where does >>Paul<< teach that patience is a requirement to be and remain justified, saved, sealed ?

It is what faith is. That confidence, certainty of Christ's promises. Christ says if you believe in me you are saved ... not maybe later, now. We try to keep his commandments, but are human and fail. Still our faith should not waver.Our confidence either rests 100% in Christ for salvation or else we are 100% lost.
Folks who place their confidence in SELF and not 100% in Christ cannot answer 10.
Thankfully, it is a done deal, we are saved, not fully redeemed yet, but very soon.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Rom. 8:1

Those who do not believe OSAS will doubt the promises and not be fully convinced if their salvation. "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Heb. 11:1

If someone falls away, they were never really saved from the beginning. Like the seeds planted in "shallow soil, the roots did not grow deep, they were not watered, nourished. They got excited for awhile, it was a half-hearted skeptical belief filled with doubts. They were not "born again".
Whoever believes in Jesus WILL NOT PERISH, AND WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. Jesus reiterates this message over and over again: John 3:16

OSAS simply comes down to Jesus' promise, "Believe in Me and you will be saved."

What is faith? It is a gift, with certainty attached to it, His assurance of things hoped for. We believe that we ARE SAVED, NOT that maybe we will be saved! If you thought you could lose it, you would not be certain. Your faith would be shallow and conditional, based on your performance. In other words, a salvation by works.

If He did not know the future, He could make that error in trusting His sheep with a precious gift. Man has a way of screwing up good things, not taking care of them ... he fails to protect and secure, goes back on vows like marriage, or gets into trouble, abuses drugs, alcohol and loses everything. This is why God helps us along this path from losing Him. We may lose many things in life, but He secures our salvation. Why would He give something to someone knowing that they would recklessly lose it - if they could?
We are saved.
The Parable of the Sower of Seed enlightens us to the narrow path to heaven. The seed planted in shallow soil or rocky soil does not grow deep roots, nor does it grow to produce fruit. Only the seed planted in fertile soil grows, because it was cared for, nourished properly and produces fruit.
There will be a great falling away coming soon. Those who fall away and are cut-off and thrown in the fire, never had true faith. Whatever they have (a weak, humanly constructed facimile of real faith) will be tested and will fail when the trials in the Great Tribulation comes. The rest of us born again Christians will persevere through it all.
Death comes unannounced sometimes, quickly, but for most of us, gradually and so we are given time.
Is your hope in Jesus' promise real and secure or not?
If you are uncertain, your faith is weak, shallow and questionable - as the numerous doubts you present confirm that.

Faith comes by the Word. The beginning of knowledge and wisdom is the fear of the Lord. So if you don't have some knowledge of the Lord through His word, you won't fear Him nor have faith.
I see knowledge (evidence) and certainty in these definitions:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:1 KJV

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. ESV
I think maybe those who are not born again, do not have real faith; therefore are insecure, uncertain. The questions one needs to ask themself are: Do I really know the Lord? Do I have a relationship with Jesus? Do I believe His promises? Are you certain of your salvation?

abide in Christ implies an ability to abide in Him or depart from Him, sin seperates us from God and grace, repentance, true sorrow for sin restores us!

part one) grace that we receive now in this life with the initial grace of justification which we can increase by good works and lose by sin.

The Bible distinguishes from the saved, regenerated person, led by the Holy Spirit, who has died to the old self ---- with the unregenegate person who walks in the flesh directed by their own desires and influenced by Satan.
We know what happens to those who walk according to the flesh.
Our occasional, temporary lapses in obedient, holy living when we backside does not mean we practice sin without restraint as we did before. We are sinners, but have been forgiven. We do not continue to live as we did before while the Lord lives in us. The Lord makes us holy, we cannot.
