Wow, the "scoffers" are here! I wonder if any see the comparison of all that is now occurring, with what occurred before among Israel. History repeats now among the church.

I know the Scriptures, but I asked so as to not misinterpret you. what did you eman so I do not misquote you.

My agenda is to make sure I understood what you said. That is all.

Father, son, husband, and a man in Christ.
Friend...if you are a man in Christ...why do you act contrary to Christ with judging others as sinners and pointing fingers and acting like you are holier than all of us?

Gal 5-6

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

6 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

You are a false witness and an accuser, speaking against what is written and one who is sent to recount and open the scriptures, to put to an end that there should be delay no longer...just as it was foretold to come.
Ok ScottA where is it written that Christ ascended to heaven without His body. Kindly show me that please .

No, none of what I am a witness to is my own, but His who sent me. Just as it was written to occur. Which makes you a "scoffer."
ScottA....my man! When you say stuff thats contrary to the bible, which you clam its not.... and claim to have some inside information and try to say its bible which it isnt....you come off as a poser. So right now you r info is fake and you appear as a poser to those who read what you write. Show us plainly from the scripture the truth.

I am repeating myself to say so (again).

But no...that is totally wrong, and you simply don't understand. But perhaps the Lord will open your eyes this time. Are you capable of change?

Ask for yourself, reason for yourself: What "manner" raised Jesus up into heaven, physical, or spiritual?

And if you get that one correct: Since "everyone born of the spirit" is like "the wind" and unseen--what did those who saw Jesus ascend see, the physical Jesus or the unseen born of the spirit Jesus?
Luke 24:36–43 (ESV)

Jesus Appears to His Disciples
36 As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” 37 But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. 38 And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” 40 And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate before them.

Acts 1:6–11 (ESV)

The Ascension
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Jesus was in His Physical Body. You are simply wrong.

First, I did not say that.

Jesus, as firstfruits, was taken up in the flesh, but did not enter or inherit the kingdom of Heaven in the flesh but in the spirit. What people saw was Him in the flesh, but what they [biblically] could not see was the spirit (except for the cloud which received Him).

I have said nothing that is contrary to the Bible, only contrary to what is wrongly believed, which itself is also biblical.

But if you see it differently, at the very least, sight something specific, otherwise you sound like you don't actually know the scriptures. And you are coming in late here, perhaps you should read more of the thread--or countless treads to see just who you should be calling out.

Your translation is a pour one. It actually does what you have accused me of--it contradicts what Jesus said of all who are born of the spirit. Are you now claiming that Jesus was wrong to say what He said, or that He was not born of the spirit, firstfruits? Which is it? What do you say?

I agree! But most of us here wonder who really sent you! for we know it is not the Lord Jesus or Our Father.

It would appear that you don't really understand what you just said.

"Prevailing against the darkness" means being under the weight and condemnation of sin, and dying on the cross. Which is the dreadful report I gave you.

Which, if you are perceptive and not totally blinded by emotion...is an example of what you and I have been wrestling with coming together. But that emotion is very powerful.
Dying on teh cross is the most wonderful thing that God has given man!

Again, you are mixing two very different events: Jesus rising from the dead, is not the resurrection or His ascension. Until you understand and acknowledge this truth, you will not fully understand.
It was Jesus' resurrection from the dead. His spirit or soul did not die, His body did. And that is what was resurrected. David and the writer of hebrews as well as Jesus said He would rise in His physical body and be the first fruits of THE resurrection. And Yes his ascension is another matter altogether. That is when He rose to heaven in His glorifies physical body.

I answered you according to your own measure. That's not all there is to it, but that is all you spoke against.

But no, what I have said is only beyond your own comfort, but aligns with scripture. The church is in big trouble. You can deny it--but hey--hold your breath, and before you need air many more marks against her will be revealed.
Once again lots of words that mean nothing.
