Although I stand with Christ and our father, and not in any darkness that might be sown by Satan among men, or that might have snuck into any denomination called Christian among mankind.

The Queen of Heaven refers to something regarding Babylon and Egypt with Sodom.

There are those in India today I have heard, Africa included, perhaps Asian areas that sacrifice to idols of gold and silver, and precious things of earrth.

Likewise there are those that worship old Greek goddesses of the Roman type, taught from before and after Christ regarding Babylon from Daniel's time as contained in the book of Jeremiah.

You can still find her described, I think, in some countries folk religions, or India I think, Africa as a sexual goddess or other versions of that female. The male dark being of Babylon I'm not sure is mentioned except in Daniel's book.

Those religions blasphemy God, by calling God as a sinner, or painting him out that way, as they attempted to do in Sodom and Egypt against our lord Jesus the Christ. Jesus in fact whom honored our father in heaven with a pure and holy sacrifice of his life, out of love for us, God's children. Therefore we honor him.

God is of course good, virtuous, the holy beeing, without blemish or flaw, perfect of law, redeemer of his people. The savior and messiah of his creations. Also the creator.

The destroyer, as created thru the fall, by that old serpent thru Eve and Adam, is the darkness of death, which is sin. Also sin and death are disobedience to the laws and commandments of the almighty God, death is defiance of God's commandments.

Therefor, that God loved his creations sought to redeem them thru Christ our lord, and succeeded for those that desire to know him and his ways.

Ashtoreth was the Queen of Heaven; The Mother god of the Canaanites. During Jeremiah's time, idol worship was a family affair. That's why Jeremiah 7:18 mentions children and fathers and mothers involvement in idol worship.

There is another king overthrown in those bible texts, Jordan is also destroyed along with Egypt.

You can look up any pagan religion regarding female goddesses.

But unfortunately the references regarding the female defined in Jeremiah refers to Jews that dwelt in Egypt, and a few other regions, including Pathos where the book of Esther was about.

Therefore that region was northern Egypt thru Persia, India and I consider perhaps Asia, where the book of revelation was directed to Asia's 7 churches. Thus the woman mystery of Babylon.

The currently searched references to female goddesses of those regions of the pagan type beliefs are odd, yet some of war goddesses or sexual goddesses or fertility goddesses and others.

The book referencing "the queen of heaven" that angered God, relate to Jeremiah's book to those regions and idol worship as well. Around 600-500 is near that time. I'm not sure regarding information that survived from those times except thru archeological excavations. Depictions of Egypt is one I quoted called Isis. Others of India and Asia might contain others.

The queen of Heaven in Jeremiah is Asherah and the storyline there is that the Jews refused to stop worshipping her.
As far as an altar in your home for Mary, South American Catholics have been doing for over a hundred years. The Lady of Guadalupe (Mary) is credited with starting Christianity in South America. But you are right, the reverence for Mary is not in the scriptures. It is a Catholic belief, so unless your Catholic it does not matter.
The reverence for Mary is part of the Catholic religious evolution due to the thousands of miracles associated with her.

In visions, not just to John in revelation, but Vietnamese and South Americans, she can appear holding her son in similar image to John's vision.

Christ is the manchild, and Emanuel. And now risen to heaven to give, with his father, the almighty miracles of salvation ongoing of his promised kingdom of heaven and earth.

The woman in vision also represents his church and people, at the marriage and feast of the children of God. The child she bares and holds, we servants help carry. The child is seen as Christ Jesus, as they the church and those they hope to invite in are important to Christ. And we treat them as we would treat ourselves in goodness, patience and long suffering in worship and honor of God and his people.

We are not cruel to the new child, as we would not be cruel to the child Christ as we hope to follow him the way he desires, humble, sincere and loving.

While heavenly mother is important to many. And yet to be witnessed to many. We do not mock God or blaspheme his holy angels, those sealed by God his servants. Just look at how verses in the bible referred to the Asherah poles in the high places all over Israel. This what God hated. Even Gideon tore down an Asherah pole beside a baal alter. God wanted all of them removed and I believe King Josiah was the only King that did.
