The NLT is very good for certain scripture...not all.NLT. The first was KJV
I was always told that God has a plan for me, whoever I spoke to about the subject didn't ever go into any detail about what that plan is, therefore I wouldn't have a clue about what my forever existence might look like.God knows what it will be like. You used to know and believe that.
It would be if there was nothing to do. There will be something for God and for the followers of Jesus to do. The Church of England may not have been clear on what that is. What were you told by their clergy?
Wouldn’t you like to love and work with your children forever? Is extinction more attractive to you than that?
99.9% of all the species that have every lived on this planet have gone extinct. Evolution doesn't promise anything. It explains the diversity of life that we see around us.What promise does evolution hold out to you? Extinction.
Are you an old earth creationist? What about life with no beginning? God has lived forever and I don’t think he is bored
If we knew we couldn’t tell youI was always told that God has a plan for me, whoever I spoke to about the subject didn't ever go into any detail about what that plan is, therefore I wouldn't have a clue about what my forever existence might look like.
I'm the type of person who likes to know what he's getting into before fully committing himself (hence the lengthy dating of my wife to be.)
I guess so. I’m not dogmatic about itAre you an old earth creationist?
So why would a God who had no beginning and has always been around create the earth 4.5 billion years ago? Or for YECs no more than 10,000 years ago?I guess so. I’m not dogmatic about it

“One day we will be creating planets right alongside God. Talk about being creative. …Only God can create.”
I’d like to wait and see what our newbie Christian has to say about that.
There are plenty of explanations, theories and speculation but to be honest I don’t know. It is well accepted in the scientific community that the universe had a beginningSo why would a God who had no beginning and has always been around create the earth 4.5 billion years ago? Or for YECs no more than 10,000 years ago?
Can anyone explain what God was doing before creating earth? If you're reply is creating the universe then you must concede that the universe had a beginning, then you'd need to explain what God was doing before he created the universe and so on and so on.
No. Evolution doesn't promise anything.Evolution promises death.
Then why do so many, the majority in fact, believe it?It’s a theory which goes against Jesus and the apostles.
No. Evolution doesn't promise anything.

Because evolution does happen, just not abiogenesis, or man sharing a common ancestor with chimpanzeesNo. Evolution doesn't promise anything.

It's simply an explanation. Why are you so afraid of dying anyway? We've already experienced death before: the time before we were born.Everything promises something. Evolution leads to death. Only the gospel of God leads to life.
I knew a Christian once that believed Christians that believed in a spherical earth were going to hell. They’re lost; on the path that leads to destruction.
It's simply an explanation. Why are you so afraid of dying anyway?

There are some Christians who believe that I’m going to hell because I go to Church on SundayIt's simply an explanation. Why are you so afraid of dying anyway? We've already experienced death before: the time before we were born.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but I don't think you should go around calling other people savages when engaged in civil discourse. How in the world do you get a man willing stand against savages armed only with the armor of God is afraid to die?
And we return to that state of nonexistence after death as well, Christian or not.A person has to be alive before he experiences death. Before we are begotten by our fathers and conceived by our mothers, we don’t exist.
I’m hoping for more than no existenceI'm not sure what you mean by this, but I don't think you should go around calling other people savages when engaged in civil discourse.
