He also teach :

it means to walk in holiness and a full victory over sin. So much so that people don't even believe it exists anymore.

That is the part that I agree with actually. Just don't know how realistic it is for everyone. And it is not a means of earning salvation as such, but springs from what we have already received. I think our job is to run the race with all we've got with what time we have.....and that any place on the narrow path (way of the cross) is a safe place as far as inheriting eternal life goes. And I tend to believe that rewards will vary for each soul depending on a whole host of factors or variables known only to God. But I wait on the Lord for more understanding of these things.

Strawman. A virtuous person need not be sinless. Proverbs 26:15 Lazy people take food in their hand but don’t even lift it to their mouth.
Amen. People can only see from their own bent. No balance, no understanding.

Mercy is on the righteous. (There is none righteous that doesn't sin)

Glory is on the saint. ( He who overcomes as I did will sit on My throne)

The bible teaches this so much that only the blind can't read it.

Vessels of dishonour are the vessels of wrath, and vessels of honour are vessels of mercy.....Romans 9. Dishonour is not an indication of salvation on any level.

Who are the righteous in God's eyes?......those who know the Lord and are obedient to Him.
The question we must all ask ourselves and ask ourselves WE surley MUST .
IS can man , does a man , LOVE GOD , LOVE CHRIST , if they depise TRUTH and love a lie .
AND the answer is A RESOUNDING and ear pounding HECK NO .
THEY have decieved themselves and have loved to have it so .
But if one loves NOT the words of GOD , of Christ and later of even the apostels in said bible
WELL THEN
THE LOVE OF GOD DOES NOT SHINE UPON OR WITHIN THEIR HEARTS .
FOR HAD it been the LOVE OF GOD
IT would have LOVED THE TRUTH , IT WOULD have BELEIVED GOD and thus HIS CHRIST and thus HIS WORDS .
BIBLE TIME i say and i say BIBLE TIME IT IS FOR ALL . we got wolves in wool my friend and they are many
and many now follow their pernsicous ways .

1 John 5: 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

We do not overcome by being righteous, We overcome by being born of God. because HE overcame the world.

The bible teaches this so much that only the blind can't read it.
The bible teaches nothing of what you preach brother..You cannot get out of your own pride and patting yourself on the back to even start to understand what true living faith is

AND UNBELEIF IN GOD IN CHRIST is not FAITH .
And yet BY FAITH IN CHRIST is HOW WE OVERCOME the WORLD .
GOTTA BELIEVE IN HIM . HE who believes NOT that JESUS is the CHRIST is anti christ .
SO guess what incluisivism is a massive co helper too and has sprang from . IF ya said anti christs
YOU RIGHT .
SO then what overcomes the world , OUR FAITH .
HE who BLEIEVES that JESUS IS the SON of GOD , Christ of GOD .
You sure can pull scrip outta text and them come and accuse US epi
of doing what which YOU YOURSELF are the one GUILTY OF DOING .
You point this people TO UNBELEIF and are a co helper to this all inclusive god
who desires the death of all of huamnity
and it is why he invented such a thing in the first place . NO BELEIF , MEANS NO FAITH EPI .
And if one believes inclusivism , AS I KNOW YOU DO , they already BOUGHT THE LIE
that sells UNBELEIF as okay unto this entire world . I sure dont see any honor
In saying tis okay TO DISHONOR THE SON , You dont have to beleive says inclusivism
as it has made cliams that all religoins can indeed and are indeed following the same Spirit
EVEN IF THEY BELIEVE NOT ON JESUS CHRIST . KINDA ODD epi .
IT IS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WE WOULD CALL HIM LORD and no man BY THE SPIRIT would call him acccused .
AS every other religoin , as all who believe NOT the gospel SURELY DO . THEY cast him out
as UNECESARRY to have TO BELIEVE ON . DENYING HIM . Faith epi .
You see i have watched you , OH YOU can claim to believe HIS WORDS
And yet only use such words to promote UNBELIEF IN HIM as okay and as even uncessary .
AND I KNOW THIS cause I KNOW ALL ABOUT inclusivism and its anti christ working .

If mercy is on the righteous. then it is not really called mercy, it would be called reward.

After you twist the meaning of everything it could be called anything. But mercy has to do with the compassion that God has for the plight of men.

Even here you are unable to take a very simple idea and track that accurately...even for a moment.

This is a confession that points to you. Your ego twists everything and turns it upside down and inside out.

I can't even begin to correct someone who operates in the ego to this extent.

I am not claiming to be sinless my friend. Or claiming we can be
You and @bdavidc argue for arguments sake. The pivot point, the point both of you refuse to see is the part about virtue. @Episkopos was succinct and eloquent in post #83 - Mercy is on the righteous. (There is none righteous that doesn't sin).

He had another great point about glory but that is beyond you; you can’t even get this point about virtue!

I’m reminded of Teddy Roosevelt’s It’s Not The Critic That Counts. Both of you are critics, pointing out where the strong man (@Episkopos) stumbled. And even here, his “stumbling” is not side stepping your foolish investment into theologically loading certain words He said it THIS way, not THAT way. What a cry baby!

I believe in religious liberty. Even if we take the time to fully delve into Scripture to the depths, it doesn’t mean there will be 100% alignment. And it is the height of arrogance for both of you to categorize this matter of conscience as being a false teaching It’s a difference of opinion. Be humble and gracious as our Lord is gracious and humble. Here is a test for you.
  • John 13:35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:5 [Love …] does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

How are you doing with this test? You ought to be ashamed of yourselves with your self-righteousness appointment to guard ‘proper doctrine’ AS IF you are the Christ, here to settle all.

I am not the proud man trying to gather a cult of followers. I am trying to expose one.
I can't even begin to correct someone who operates in the ego to this extent.
Thats why you refuse to be corrected. Your ego is so large no one can break through.

Stop it! Your false witness is never ending. First, he was a false teacher. Now he’s a false prophet. What do you want to do, burn him at the stake?

How about live and let live? If you don’t appreciate his opinions, don’t li#ten to him. You don’t need to make opposing him your crusade. Philippians 4:8
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Dude go away.

He is a false prophet. a false witness and a cult leader.

People who follow him will follow him to hell

But if you want to appease him, feel free.

I am done trying to talk to someone. I refuse to keep feeding trolls

I see you can dish it our but can’t take it. Can’t even answer questions.

I wonder if you lived past lives, if you were an Inquisitor, torturing people; confess your heresies against doctrine! I’ll pray for you, @bdavidc, and @Episkopos. May we love each other though we don’t 100% agree.

Mercy is on the righteous. (There is none righteous that doesn't sin)

If mercy is on the righteous. then it is not really called mercy, it would be called reward.

There you go again, fixating on your investment in theologically loading certain words. In this case, mercy v reward. Your logic is flawed. While you are right in one sense - properly applying incorrect concepts to words - you are wrong in 2 senses.
  1. there is another sense of mercy, not theoretical but practical.
  2. you fail to discern these senses and unwisely show your ignorance.
If you want to consider the practical application of mercy a reward, so be it. Your categorization does not change the practical reality. Let’s take the case of my brother-in-law (BIL).

He sinned. He broke the law. He got into a car accident, hitting a pole while drunk. Now, most of the time, the judge doesn’t impose the maximum penalty the law allows. This is a ‘reward,’ to your way of perverted thinking, for past behavior but there is no other practical application of mercy. A reward would be cash prizes for driving drunk, etc.

In the real world, the judge considered my 55-yo BIL never having a problem with the law and just recently losing his wife to a health issue. For righteous living and the compassion for the broken hearted man, the judge was somewhat lenient on him.

To use @Episkopos’ language, such mercy is NOT shown to the unrighteous, those with a long history of repeated sins, repeated drunk driving, etc. And we all know you’ll ignore what I write as you divide heaven from Earth in theologically loading the words under discussion, doubling down on your error!

After you twist the meaning of everything it could be called anything.

I see what you mean.

But mercy has to do with the compassion that God has for the plight of men.

God does not have very much mercy if he requires man to be perfect to be saved.

Obtuse? Nobody said anything like this. Just more twisting of words you imbue with theological significance. If I give you a check for $100M, don’t flatter yourself that you’re perfect and a self-made millionaire just because you made the least effort in cashing the check.

Works v faith run amok. Are you a Calvinist or something?
