Slavery has many nuances and it's not limited to the slavery of the 1700's in America.

Sometime biblical slavery is "indentured slavery'.....which has another context to it. There are those whop thunk every aspect of biblical slavery is the way it was in early America when the slaves were captured, delivered by boat, the people auctioned off then put to work.
However it's dressed up slavery is slavery and a useful commandment from God himself would have been useful to God himself.
In other words God's moral compass would be questioned less.
I'm not daft enough to think that slavery wouldn't exist, after all people break all of the commandments every day and always will.

Slavery is not inherently immoral. That is just your morality that you’re trying to impose on your maker.

Historically, slavery was considered a mercy rather than slaughter those on the losing side of a battle. FYI, it wasn’t morality after 1,000’s of years but economics after the Industrial Revolution, the Capitalist learned that a free man with a profit motive outproduced a slave.

Well, well, well....there you go, you're thinking out of the box now...chickens...the rodent population would have been increasing. Kinda yucky but for the carrion eaters re-exhumed carrion.
Of course the grasses would have began to grow...many animals like to munch out on grass.

See that!!! Think out of the box and your ark problems go away.

Oh, besides that, it appears the ark has been identified in the Mountains of Ararat.
I notice that this article is from Breaking Christian News haha.
Funnily enough I haven't seen this on the BBC news, or on any other reputable news outlets.

What news outlets do you (or other atheists) consider to be reputable?

Plenty.
Breaking Christian News wouldn't be on that list though.
Obviously Nothing has been confirmed about the tunnels, the results are expected sometime in 2027.
Geologists are still skeptical.

Please identify some of them by name. I’d like to look at the same outlets you consider reputable.

Breaking Christian News wouldn't be on that list though.

I’ve seen reports about the current drilling on many news outlets, in the US and overseas press.

If God is perfectly moral and the commandments are perfectly moral, how can God break those commandments himself?
For the same reason it's better if I ruin a sand castle I made rather than someone else ruining it. If I'm the author, if you will, I reserve the right to also destroy what I created. God destroyed almost all of humanity in Genesis. He is the originator of life, He has the authority to also take it away.
I don't think that Jesus compares in any way to the God of the OT.
Revelation Jesus will come back and have a day of wrath on all His enemies that is very violent. The Father got Jonah to preach to Ninevah and they repented so they were spared judgement. Both God and Jesus have wrath and mercy.

God and Jesus in Scripture have multiple dimensions. He is both love and justice, mercy and wrath, authoritative and gentle.

If you say so.
Indentured slavery isn't the type of slavery you seem to indicate the bible doesn't include.

Yes, people break the commandments...there are evil people in the world.

I watched a report on Fox news yesterday. Here and here.......Funny how you didn't look there.
Yes, I've just read the report from fox news, where is the confirmation that the remains of Noah's ark have been found?
If this was anything like confirmation it would be front page news all over the world.
The truth is it isn't confirmation of anything.

What I find funny is that you actually think that all of the species of animal plant and marine life that we see on this planet today were somehow derived from the population of Noah's ark.
Not millions of years of evolution, oh no.

Where did Noah find the marsupials? Polar bears? Poison dart frogs?
Who on the ark specialised in veterinary care?
How did they deal with atrophy?
Where were mountains of food for the animals stored?
How did they dispose of mountains of animal waste?
How did they stop disease, parasites etc?

To be fair, after all the work involved.... Constructing a massive watertight vessel to house all of the different 'kinds' of animals, controlling diseases, feeding them and cleaning up after them Noah deserved to make wine and get bladdered.
I suppose that when the flood waters disappeared, the different kinds migrated to their natural habitats... Marsupials made the trek from Turkey to Australia, the Capybara to South America....
Luckily though all of the Bamboo shoots survived for the Giant Panda along with the Eucalyptus for the Koalas...
Fortunately the marine life survived the shock of the sudden dumping of millions of gallons of fresh water into the ocean.
The land animals probably survived on a diet of rat and seaweed, incredible!

Give it time.
How do you explain away the 3 levels, right angles....rooms....hallway? How do you explain away the size and shape...the location? The soil samples.

As far as it being front page news....this ark shaped "formation" has been in the news for years....the exploration has been slow as instrumentation quality and technique has increased over the years and all we've seen is updates. Then again this announcement was pretty big and all over the news. Would you expect it to be as big as the moon landing?

That's Genesis 9:20-21, for those of you keeping score at home.

Absolutely. I thinks it even more funny that you think all the species evolved from a rock in a pool of water got struck by lightning or something like that....then evolved into all the species we see today.
Where did Noah find the marsupials? Polar bears? Poison dart frogs?
Noah didn't find the animals. The bible say they came to Noah.
The pre-flood world was pretty much one giant "Pangea" super continent pre flood...which broke up later on.
Who on the ark specialised in veterinary care?
The bible doesn't say. Was Noah suppose to give the animals rabies shots? I'm not quite sure what you're getting at and how this question "sinks" the biblical ark.
How did they deal with atrophy?
Why would there be atrophy? Are yo claiming the smaller animals were packed into tiny pill boxes and couldn't move around? Are you claiming the larger animals such as the elephant and oxen couldn't be used to turn fans...perhaps to help in the ventilation or raise an lower a dumbwaiter lift system...I'm not quite understanding your atrophy question.
Are you suggesting the little monkeys should have worked out with little bar-bell sets? Pumped Iron?
Where were mountains of food for the animals stored?
In the food storage bins and rooms. Are you saying there would be enough room on the ark for all the food?
The good news is once the animals ate a lot of food Noah and his family had room to set up a basketball court.
How did they dispose of mountains of animal waste?
I love your terminology "mountains" of this and "mountains" of that...as if this language and question assumes that was the condition on the ark. Perhaps they had Mountains of Dew to drink to get them going in the morning.

But as to the "mountains" of waste....there was no mountains of waste.
Think about it...if you were Noah would you engineer against this problem? Would you build cages and pens with slotted floors for the "animal waste" to fall through...collect it in gutters...where it could be easily pulled and removed by Noah, his 3 boys their 3 wives and Mrs. Noah?
There's all kinds of means to remove the waste..collect in then dump it overboard through a hatch or moon pool.
Perhaps you picture the elephants wearing diapers.

How did they stop disease, parasites etc?
Noah had a "Warp Speed" program that developed a jab to fight off the disease and parasites.

Noah had over 100 years to build the ark...do you think Noah and his family built it alone or do you think Noah had help from the population around him? Noah may have contracted out the pitch making guy...who cover the ark inside and outside with the watertight pitch. Do you think they used one coat of pitch or two coats to get the job done?
I suppose that when the flood waters disappeared, the different kinds migrated to their natural habitats... Marsupials made the trek from Turkey to Australia, the Capybara to South America....
Sure, why not? I'll grant ya they didn't have Australian Airlines back then...but I bet some of the marsupials hopped their way to Australia...one jump at a time.
Luckily though all of the Bamboo shoots survived for the Giant Panda along with the Eucalyptus for the Koalas...
Is that all they eat?
Fortunately the marine life survived the shock of the sudden dumping of millions of gallons of fresh water into the ocean.
I would imagine like you apparently do....all the sea water was mixed evenly....and salt water can't stratify in the oceans like it does today.
The land animals probably survived on a diet of rat and seaweed, incredible!
Bad news if you're a rat...right? All the snakes, foxes, cats and other animals simply walked away from...or if your a snake slithered away from...such a tasty meal.
