It's a 70yr continuous prophecy. Extracting or breaking off the last week to fit into some other preconception reflects poor exegesis which I for one can not take seriously.
Does Seventh Day Adventist have a table/chart of the 15 end times time frames given in the bible ?

Here is my table/chart of those...

Hmmmm.....read it slowly following my communications back a few posts.

The references to 'he' in Dan. 9:27 are two different 'He's'. The first two he's refer to Jesus, the third 'he' is to antichrist
Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

The 'He' who confirms the covenant is Jesus, ie the covenant made with the Patriarchs.
From the beginning of Jesus' ministry, ie his baptism to the stoning of Stephan is 7 years (this time period is where the Gospel went exclusively to the Jews) In the middle of that 7 year period (1 week) Jesus was crucified (cut off). Thereon afterward the sacrifices (symbol) offered at the Jewish temple had no import because the symbol was met with the reality (the crucifixion) hence the curtain dividing the Holy from the Most Holy was torn from top to bottom

The 'he' that sets up 'an abomination that causes desolation' is an antichrist.

These two actors are also confirmed in vs 26
Daniel 9:26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

The diagram I posted in #85 lays it out.
regardless of who one thinks or beleives this is talking about . The HE is the same HE in all three places .
If we begin to do what you do to the scrips then we can make them fit anything we want them too .
It would have made it clear had it been two different ones .

It is clear. The two 'he's' have opposing characters. This is evident in the Angel's prophecy to Daniel.
God is not schizophrenic.

I've seen this chart of yours before. I think it is a poor cobbling based on a faulty paradigm; a paradigm which does not have the Gospel/ Jesus as the primary driving factor.
The driving factor of your paradigm is a crystal ball type of approach which see's its objective as future telling for its own sake

Hi…Can you show us the two opposing characters? I believe it’s just one ol’ dirty bird who will show up pretty soon claiming he’s the Messiah. He’s going down, though, so not to worry.

Some context first....
We are dealing with a prophecy primarily spanning 490 years from the given reference for the start of this time period; the beginning of v 25.
At the outset the angel tells Daniel the objective (v 24) before any details are given.

Daniel is in Babylon serving a foreign King while Jerusalem lies in ruins. By combing the writings of Jeremiah he becomes aware that the time of Israels captivity foretold by Jeremiah is nearing its end. He them prays and appeals to God's mercy for his own name's sake (God's) vs 17-19
The angel arrives in response and tells him that his people (Israel) have another time period metered out for them....and I might add, a weightier verdict than a 'temporary' captivity, namely reaching to the anointed one (the promised Messiah).....and beyond: the fate of another destruction of their rebuilt City.....and the antagonist

Below I have highlighted the opposing characters of the two 'he's in red and green from verses 26 - 27
Red referencing the anointed one (Jesus)
Green referencing the antagonist and his end.

26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

Sorry, you will NEVER understand the truth of Dan. 9:24-27, if you try to discern it by using different bible translations. Stay with the KJV only and the Holy Spirit within you, and He will not let you become confused.

Read Isa. 55:8-9, then read all of 1 Cor. ch. 2, and then focus on:
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might KNOW the THINGS that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but [that] which the Holy Ghost TEACHETH; comparing spiritual THINGS with spiritual.

Daniel 9:27
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst ofthe week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for theoverspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until theconsummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This passage concerns the time of the end, when events involving Daniel’s people and city—the true house of Israel and Jerusalem—will continue.

Jesus Christ referred to this verse in Daniel 9 when He spoke in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 about “the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet” standing in the holy place. Paul likewise writes in 2 Thessalonians 2 that this figure will present himself to the world as God.

The desolation will continue “even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” In this interpretation, that means it lasts until the end, when God pours out His wrath and brings the transgression to an end.

So, here’s how it will happen: The little horn, which is Satan, will appear in the last days and “confirm the covenant with many” for the seventieth week. This will bring in the first beast of Revelation 13, which will be worshipped, and will strengthen a coalition of many peoples, nations, and languages. This is the New World Order.

There is a huge difference between having a hope based on God's activity in Jesus, the other on one's ego which justifies or refuses to consider their paradigm could be faulty.
The first has a quiet assurance and a gentle spirit, the second a justifying, self-focused, persecution card pulling and or a repetitive many word explanation approach.
The Holy Spirit wants you to hear this song.
Maybe you already have!

Satan's covenant for a 'week' is not the 70th week.

The 70th Week Began with CHRIST and Ends with CHRIST

The Antichrist is a counterfiet messiah = thus why christiandom believe the 70th week begins with him.

I find the above a very poor answer re my reply considering this prophecy is a pertinent reference point to the Messiah .
If you understand that the 70th week was never meant to be separated/removed from its chronological setting, being soon after the end of the 69th week, then you would agree that the 70th week began with the Joint Ministry of John the Baptist and Jesus for the first 3.5 years.
The latter half of that 70th week, being 3.5 more years, were fulfilled by Jesus, "by His Spirit", nurturing the early church. Thus completing ALL 7 day/years of the 70th week.

Now please notice: "the people of the prince that shall come", is not anywhere near the 70th week of Jesus' crucifixion whatsover. In fact that event of "desolation" of the Temple, is FORTY (40) YEARS into the future, from the day of Christ's crucifixion!

"The
people of the prince that shall come", was indeed the Roman Army of Titus in 70AD. Therefore, from the crucifixion of Christ in 30 AD unto 70 AD., is 40 years later.
It was during those 40 years, AFTER Christ's crucifixion, that "the overspreading of abominations" took place, which was caused by the Jews, through their continuation of animal sacrifices in the Temple.

Not only did the Jews have their own Messiah sentenced to death and crucified, they also brought on the destruction and desolation of their OWN city Jerusalem, and their Temple along with it.
YES, that is correct! The Jews themselves committed the abomination against God, of which brought on their own desolation!

There are 7 abominations against God.
Please see #3 in Prov. 6:17, and then tell me that the Jews didn't
shed innocent blood!!

Daniel 9:24-27, Seventy Future Literal Weeks Explained?

Daniel's 70 weeks are literal 7 day periods, or 490 literal days.

If Daniel meant 490 years he would have written

(Four Hundred Ninety Years)

Daniel had no restrictions in "Writing" exact numerology as seen below.

Daniel 6:1KJV
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

Daniel 8:14KJV
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Daniel 12:11KJV
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Below in Daniel 10:2-3 we see just another example of Daniel's literal weeks, as Daniel mourned and fasted for 3 literal weeks or 21 days.

Daniel 10:2-3KJV
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Below in Daniel 9:24-27 we see 70 literal "Future" weeks or 490 days.

When the "Future" call/commandment goes out in Jerusalem to build unto the Jewish Meshiach/Messiah that they wait for (They Denied Jesus Christ) this will start the 7 week period in preparing to build.

62 literal weeks will be in building, and Meshiach/Messiah will be cut off by the future armies surrounding Jerusalem, this stops the building. Luke 21:24, Rev 11:2

The 70th literal week will see (The Beast/The Antichrist) revealed in making a covenant, and in the middle of this literal week he proclaims to be Meshiach/Messiah God to the Jews, and Jesus returned to the apostate church, to start a Millennium on earth.

The 3.5 year tribulation starts at this time.

Daniel 9:24-27KJV
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This will bring in the first beast of Revelation 13, which will be worshipped, and will strengthen a coalition of many peoples, nations, and languages. This is the New World Order.
Daniel's (Little Horn) Paul's (Man Of Sin) John's (The Beast) all represent the very same future human man that has a literal body that dies or is destroyed, this future individual human man is also referred to as (The Antichrist) by many as a catch all phrase for the 3 names

(The Beast Was Slain/Killed) And (His Body Destroyed) And Given To (The Burning Flame/Lake Of Fire) Personal Pronoun "His"

Daniel's (The Little Horn)

Daniel 7:8-11KJV
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

Man Of Sin, Destroyed By The Lord At His Coming, Personal Pronouns "He" "His" "Him" "Himself"

Paul's (Man Of Sin)

2 Thessalonians 2:3-9KJV
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

(The Beast) & (The False Prophet) will be human men and they will be cast living into the lake of fire Rev 19:20, Personal Pronouns "He" "His" "Him"

(The Dragon/Satan) will give his power to (The Beast) Rev 13:4 two separate beings

John's (The Beast)

Revelation 13:3-8KJV
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

(These Both Were Cast Alive/Living) Two Separate Beings

Revelation 19:20KJV
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

I understand this is pretty much the standard interpretation of Evangelical Christianity (with variants).
I find it wanting because it looses it's centre spinning off into secondary emphasis and explanations.

When Israel rejected their Messih their time as a 'special people' was done. Subsequently the message from the angel in response to Daniel's prayer, '70 weeks are determined upon your people'. ( political Israel ) They no longer had a message of relevance.

Ahhh, 'the abomination of desolation'
I see as it as misrepresentation of the character of God. We are the temple of God. A faulty view; the view Satan encourages us to have reinforces insecurity, fear, apprehension, distrust, misunderstanding and faithlessness. It is what Jesus battled as did the apostles including Paul. This is the abomination that makes desolate.

Your repeated reference to SDA has blinkered your view Dougg.

I wonder why the Pharisees resisted Jesus as strongly as they did seeing they had the oracles of God. My conclusion is that it cut across their vested interests (physically and theologically). It is a danger none of us are exempt from. We want scape goats to accuse rather than coming clean about our inadequacies.
Daniel came clean....and although he probably didn't understand the information given him because of his position in history, we today have the benefit of certain hindsight ....and ultimately have no excuse to misunderstand.

Okay! Now that you have written a book about the many errors in understanding of what exactly constitutes someone becoming "THE Antichrist" to come, let's go back to your beginning and look at what it was that YOU MISSED!
KJV 1 John 4:3
And every [singular] spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this IS  THAT spirit OF antichrist, whereof ye have heard that IT should come; and even now already is IT in the world.

The words: "That spirit of antichrist" is in the singular, but it infects MANY to become antichristS, which is in the plural.

There is NO singular, one man band, religious magic man, to come!! All of that is a fictional, religious fantasy. A false concept hatched out of the denominational Bible colleges, aka "the wisdom of men".
However, the "mark of the beast" shall surely come, and it will be that which shall literally "separate the sheep from the goats".

You cannot just try and base your conclusion on that 1 John 4:3 verse. Apostle John was more specific about the "antichrist" as a certain entity in 1 John 2:18. And the many Bible witnesses where Lord Jesus and Apostle Paul described that coming antichrist as a pseudo-Christ, et al, far outweighs just trying to use that single 1 John 4:3 verse. Your reasoning is thus like in auto mechanics a spark plug is described to you, but then you purposefully omit that its spark plug gap has to be set in order to work properly.
