Acts 17
29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.

It would appear that graven images are a no-no.

No there not where is the sabbath law in the new covanant? Remeber where the new covanant starts about the end of all the gospels.
Then what laws and prophets did Jesus 2 greatest commandments sum up?
And why did Jesus say he did not come to abolish the law?
Matt 5:17

Dont be fooled with aperances/ It doesnt say what you are trying to make it say. Please tell us in english what it actully says????. ttry and think about it as if you were in a court of law. If you say what you are trying to make it look like your getting kicked out.
I will repaet the question as you seem unlike God to have seletive reading.

Please tell us in english what it actully says????.

Is this plain enough for you?

1 John 5
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Matt 5:17
The two commands cover Gods law.
Stick with these two and get them right and you will not be in any sin.

Because he never came to abolish the law. But you are arguing like we are still under the law. We are not under the law in the way you are telling it.

So now you answer me this. I have given you three versions.

King James Bible
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
New International Version
You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
New American Standard Bible
You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Are you still telling me we are under the law after you read these?

The law is a curse.
King James Bible
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

New International Version
For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.
New American Standard Bible
For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second.

Please tell me you now know that we are not under the law? If you think we are under the law you need to first counter these and then give scripture proving these verses wrong.

Seems there is a lot of confusion over what we are here for.
I asked whats it look like to walk like Jesus and there was a lot of shyness about that question. I would think this would be the same.
What do you spend all your time on and what do you think you are supposed to be spending your time on?
In my opinion,Our Commission consists of several things.

1.(Spreading The Gospel) Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

2.(Healing The Sick & Casting Out Demons) Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” James 5:13-15 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

3.(Helping The Widow & The Orphans) James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

4.(Knowing The Bible) 2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

5.(Being Humble & Removing Pride) Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

6.(Being In Constant Prayer) 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

7.(Encouraging The Body) 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doin Hebrews 10:24-25 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Provers 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

8.(Walking In Love) Ephesians 5:2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God. John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
as a fragrant aroma. Colossians 3:14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked

Yeah I don't see that happening anytime soon. If want to ask a question, ask it. But don't expect me to go back over 4 pages of posts trying to decipher whether or not you're asking a question.

No there not where is the sabbath law in the new covanant? Remeber where the new covanant starts about the end of all the gospels.

Actually sword, the New Covenant/Contract starts once Jesus is baptized by John. Just as Moses spoke the words of the Old Covenant and then sacrificed blood to seal that covenant, so also Christ spoke the terms of the New Covenant and sacrificed himself: sealing the New one.

And herein lies the problem: most people think the gospel is about the death, burial, and resurrection, of Christ, but Christ taught the gospel as soon as he came out of the wilderness and it has nothing to do with believing in his death burial and resurrection, any more than the old covenant has to do with believing in the sacrifice of the animals which sealed that covenant. The covenant/contract is in the words both Moses and Jesus spoke, not in the sacrifices they made; the sacrifices were the equivalent of sealing a contract today with a signature: it establishes it as law.
