Questions concerning the Kingdom of God

I have not studied theology. When I read scripture, it seems to speak things multidimensional, things I do not quite understand. I would like to trust it is the spirit teaching, but since I am unsure, I would like to test those things through others who have studied theology and have put in the time dividing the Word of God. Warning: this could be completely wrong and may not align with scripture. Is David a type for God the Father? Is Solomon a type for Jesus Christ, the son—the dead and, now the living child?

1) David has more than any other in scripture.

2) Jesus Christ takes David’s throne.

2) Solomon builds His fathers house and his house. In addition, Solomon builds it out of the trees of Lebanon while scriptures say the trees of Lebanon of High statue will be hewn down. (a foreshadowing of Christ building a temple with no hands.) Isaiah 10:34 "And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one." And Psalms 92:12 "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."

3) Solomon means (Shalom) peace. Solomon was given wisdom.

I am sorry, quite a bit of scripture is required:

(1 Kings 1:33) “The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:”

One dead child. One living Child.

(2 Samuel 12) And Nathan departed unto his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”

And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the Lord loved him.”

The peculiar test of, One dead child. One living Child. The dead and, now the living child?

Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.

And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

And this woman's child died in the night; because she overlaid it.

And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.

And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.

Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.

And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.”

Which leads into the question pertaining to the Lords kingdom.

Solomon builds His Father’s house first: (1 Kings 6)

“And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.”

“And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:”

“And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.”

Then Solomon(the son) builds his house:

“And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch. All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.” Note Noah’s Ark was pitched within and without.

“And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart. Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.”

The completion of (Solomon) the sons house.

“And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the king’s house,”

It took Solomon 7 years to build his father(David)s house. Could this possibly be the seven day creation? Does the combined total of 20 years(to build the father and sons house) indicate the time frame of the completion of the building of God's house(old testament and new testament) and then the restoration of the Lord's Kingdom. Christ taking David’s Throne?

When speaking about the Kingdom of God what about the 7 parables in Matt. 13.
1. The seed. Not just the letter but the life.
2. The tares. Involves contention.
3. Mustard seed. Pure Faith
4. Leaven. Active
5. Hid. Exclusive
6. Price. Takes your all
7. Net Cast. Discrimination

It appears to be orchestrated and by design.
As you once quoted in the Beatitudes: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled

nice. Interesting to note that there are contending doctrines at each of these 7; that they each have a tension built into them, we contend over each of these points in some way.

God's Kingdom is a subject that has been a "hot" topic since Jesus gave explanations about it through both his comments and illustrations.(see Matt 20:21; Luke 19:11) Before the rebellion in the garden of Eden some 6,000 years ago, the only governmental arrangement was God's universal sovereignty, called "the mountain" at Daniel 2:45.

But upon Adam and Eve's complete disregard for God's command concerning the "tree of knowledge of good and bad" (Gen 2:17; 3:1-6), our Maker, Jehovah God, made arrangements for a subsidiary government within his universal sovereignty to restore what Adam lost, the enjoyment of living on a paradise earth in perfection and complete harmony (see Matt 5:5), cursing the "serpent" and establishing that now there would be "enmity" or hatred between the "serpent" and his "offspring" and the "woman" and her "offspring", these being diametrically opposed.(Gen 3:15)

In so doing, God incorporated both a spirit "son of God" (Jesus Christ or Jesus "the anointed") and loyal imperfect humans from the earth (as the "woman's offspring") that would make up God's Kingdom. But God's Kingdom would not reside on the earth, for Jesus called it "the Kingdom of the heavens".(Matt 13:11)

Thus, it is a heavenly government whereby Jesus was the first one selected at his baptism in 29 C.E. and is to serve as its primary king (Matt 25:34), being anointed with holy spirit at that time (Matt 3:16, 17), along with 144,000 "chosen ones" (Rev 14:1) who have been "counted worthy of the Kingdom of God" as "kings and priests" (Rev 5:9, 10; 2 Thess 1:5), being also anointed or "sealed" with holy spirit as Jesus was for the "heavenly calling"(Heb 3:1; Eph 1:13, 14), receiving an adoption as God's "own sons".(Eph 1:4, 5; see also Rom 8:14)

At Daniel 2:44, it establishes that God's Kingdom is one "never to be destroyed" and has the power and will to remove the political "wild beast" (a creation of Satan or the "dragon") or all political governments on the earth (Rev 13:1, 2), saying that it will "crush and put an end to all these kingdoms" that is represented by "the immense image" of a man.(Dan 2:31-35)

At Luke 19, Jesus gave an illustration concerning God's Kingdom, in which he helped his disciples to grasp that it would not become operational in the 1st century, but long into the future by saying that "a man of noble birth traveled to a distant land to secure kingly power for himself and return (that would take considerable time by conventional methods, such as walking or riding a camel)".(Luke 19:12)

Before his departure, this "man of noble birth" assigned ten of his slaves to "do business till I come" with one mina each.(Luke 19:13) Many of this "man of noble birth" citizens "hated him", saying that "we do not want this man to become king over us".(Luke 19:14) Upon this "man of noble birth" acquiring the kingship, he calls his slaves to him. Apparently 9 of the slaves fulfilled the "man of noble birth" commands, while one slave was lazy and sluggish.(Luke 19:15-23)

Jesus is the "man of noble birth" that received the Kingdom in 1914.(Dan 7:13, 14) His loyal "slaves" are busy doing what he commanded, preaching and teaching "the good news of the Kingdom" (Matt 24:14) from "house to house" (Matt 10:11-13), conducting over 10 million Bible studies every month, while the churches of Christendom are just "seat warmers".

In the near future, God's Kingdom or heavenly government, will bring on a "great tribulation" (Matt 24:15-21) whereby "Babylon the Great", all the religions of the "world" (the Bible establishes at Ephesians 4:5, that there is only "one faith" that is pleasing to Jehovah God), will become "devastated and naked" by means of the political governments before they are totally decimated at Armageddon by God's Kingdom, to never exist again.(Dan 2:44; Rev 17:5, 16; 19:19-21)

You say God's kingdom will not reside on earth. Yet Jesus said "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Matt. 6:10)

Before Satan's fall, earth was just as much a part of heaven as the throne of God was. And, so will be again.

When you look for it in secular history you will miss the intent of the symbology wrote in the OT which came through Moses who mirrored John Matt 11:11 both represented flesh and blood that doesn't inherit the kingdom, only bond slaves Galatians 4:1 while under that covenant one can never go into the promised land, Truth and grace came through Christ and awakens in man/flesh that spark of eternity the Seed concerning the promise Luke 17:20-21, Acts 17:24, 1Cor 3:16, the literal application kills the message 2Cor 3:6 and veils the location of the kingdom which has always been in man.

Jesus didn't teach that the kingdom of God was 'long into the future':

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Mt 12:28)

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it. (Mt 21:43)

And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power." (Mk 9:1)

heal the sick in it and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' (Lk 10:9)

nor will they say, 'Lo, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." (Lk 17:21)

Jesus is the "man of noble birth" that received the Kingdom in 1914.(Dan 7:13, 14)

That is utter rubbish. Dan 7::13,18 says nothing about Jesus receiving the Kngdom in 1914.
On the other hand Lk 22:29 says:
"I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom"

For the record, David was keeping the Lord his King’s Throne, keeping it warm for the Lord if you will. If anyone understood, it was David, that the Lord was King of Israel and still is.

That said, interesting posting you have here.

To understand most of what you seem to be fishing for is how is it that Jesus is the fulfillment of something in the OT or to what does something in the OT point to in Christ.

Not hard to figure, seeing the first Adam second Adam might apply in some way. The Father gives the materials and instructions to build His house in the earth, the Son fulfills it to the Father’s satisfaction. One should understand that what the Almighty gave mankind is His place in the earth until His Son takes it.

The temple in and of itself is all about God dwelling with His People, and His People’s place is in the earth. But at this juncture God is in Heaven, so, how is it that His place in the earth would be and can be acceptable to Him? He sends His Son in whom He is well pleased to accomplish the Father’s desire, and the Son is given the Kingdom of God when He returns to the Father.

Jesus died on the sixth day and so did Adam, I suspect that was true seeing God said on that day they would die that is the day Adam and Eve died of the Life they were given. And on the seventh day of rest, the sacred Sabbath, Jesus restored it. (in case you didn’t know God let all rest on His Word and His Word is LORD) the “LORD God” isn’t mentioned until after all is declared good, very good and “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

Therefore, the temple is complete to the Father’s satisfaction by His Son the Lord Jesus Christ and now it is a matter of the:

Psa_110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Of which Jesus repeats this statement more than once in the Gospels.

And as we have been told by Jesus, He now sits at the Right Hand of Power awaiting His time.

I would like to test those things through others who have studied theology
Keep well away from them. They are the one in part that are responcible for the state the church is in today and most of the confusion.

That is why I didn't offer it to you. I wasn't talking to you. By all means do not avail yourself of this book.

Then don't quote my post as you did in #13, where I was not quoting you. But you decided to respond to me anyway. See. So, if you don't want to have to be a part of something, then don't start something.

Once you start it, don't 'crawfish', as you are prone to do. Do you 'savy' crawfish?

Yet you didn't respond to anything I said in explanation. Why? Because you are wrong as usual. What is 'wuote' and WHLION'?

Yet you say I am immature? With two m's.

You ask what will I do. I will just continue to show that you don't know what you are talking about.

Can you answer at least 1 question? Do you 'savy' crawfish?

You say God's kingdom will not reside on earth. Yet Jesus said "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Matt. 6:10)

Before Satan's fall, earth was just as much a part of heaven as the throne of God was. And, so will be again.

Jesus called the Kingdom a heavenly government at Matthew 13:11 and in which John the Baptist concurred at Matthew 3:2, telling those coming to him for baptism: "Repent, for the Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near". In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said: "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them".(Matt 5:3)

In fact, the words "Kingdom of the heavens" is used some 30 times in Matthew, whereby Jesus established it as a heavenly government (that has at its disposal invisible angelic armies, Rev 19:14; see Isa 37:36 in which one invisible angel destroyed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers) that will remove all human political governments (pictured as a "wild beast" at Rev 13:1, 2), along with false religion (called Babylon the Great at Rev 17:5) and greedy commerce and all their supporters. Only "the meek" will remain after God's heavenly Kingdom destroys all other people.(Matt 5:5)

Proverbs 2 says that "only the upright will reside in the earth, and the blameless will remain in it. As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, and the treacherous will be torn away from it".(Prov 2:21, 22) Thus, when Jesus taught the "Lord's Prayer" at Matthew 6, he was opening our eyes to the fact that God's heavenly Kingdom will bring about the same clean conditions on the earth as in heaven, removing any and all who are not loyal subjects of that heavenly government.

At Revelation 5, it says those chosen to serve as "kings and priests" in God's Kingdom "are to rule over the earth", not on the earth.(Rev 5:9, 10; John uses the Greek word epi that means both "on" or "over", depending on the context; see Rev 9:11, whereby the word in the KJV is correctly translated as "over", but incorrectly translated as "on" at Luke 23:30 as well at Revelation 5:10)
