What on earth has any of that got to do with the price of onions!!o_O
The living God is where our focus should be...not "studying" what men who call themselves wise, choose to tell us!
The bible says - "MY sheep know MY voice, and a stranger they will not follow"
If you studied, you'd know that Jesus was not born with the sin nature.

THAT is what it has to do with the price of onions.

You're replying to my saying that I still study my faith.
You tell me faith is not learned.

So...
Are YOU of the Christian faith?
The Jewish faith?
The Islamic faith?

You don't seem to understand what Faith is. It is not a religion. Faith is not something we study, it is one of the gifts of the Spirit . A measure of faith is given to every man...I already quoted the verse.
Faith is something we have. God gives us faith so that we can have a meaningful relationship with God. .."He whom we cannot see we love."

As for your question which has nothing to do with any thing...You are not the Police of this Site. QUOTE:-

...
If you had rally read any of my posts you would know. But then again...you choose to define everyone else here by what you yourself had chosen to believe. You being "right" and others being wrong obviously...you say it enough.

"I am saved by His blood, sanctified, Spirit baptized, Holy Ghost filled.." ( that is a song by the way)
I am made righteous in Christ, I worship the Father in the God given language,
I cast out devils, I lay hands on the sick, I have not raised the dead...
I am a Spirit fill Charismatic.

Not good enough for you?......No,.... I didn't think it would be.

Who knows the truth?
The one who studies theology of man?
I still go to learn my faith.
Is this wrong?
Should I just stay home and not go?
There are persons here who are saying Jesus was born with the sin nature..
IOW, calling Him a sinner.
Some here speak of reincarnation.
The apostles had Jesus.
Paul had to study...and yet it was he who wrote so much of the
NT.
I guess I don't understand you.

just explaining you are talking to a wall.

they got you where they want you cranked up and upset. stand back take a breath. your not going to change what they want to think.

they want to believe their god is like them, with the potential for sin. they don't want to get the simple truth that its not the flesh that is the problem that is the potential for sin, its the life that is in it that has the potential for sin. Therefore, in the case of the Son of God, there is no potential for sin, but when in comes to the souls and hearts and minds of men its all about sin, and the justification for sin, even their god should have the same capacity for sin. that's how much they love themselves and their sin.

and this is because they want to believe that they are good, and have the capacity for good. but that is imposable for man. as Jesus says only God is good, therefore they don't have the capacity for good. only God dose. but if their god in their image has the capacity for sin, then they are justified without Jesus Christ. and your right it does sound like Catholicism doesn't it.

they don't want to see that its the Life of Christ that is sinless and has no potential for sin, and has nothing to with where that Life maybe present, whether it be heaven earth or flesh of man.

I said I studied my faith.
I replied asking which FAITH you are: Christian, Jewish, Islamic.
Because these ARE FAITHS.
Your reply was wrong, as most of your replies are.
Should I have said I STUDY MY RELIGION?
Then you would have complained that I used the word RELIGION and explained how we don't have a RELIGION but a FAITH.

See ByGrace, you make no sense.
You make a mountain out of a molehill.
You dislike me.
WHY do you write to me?
Be a spirit filled Charismatic.
Are you better than other Christians?
I guess YOU think so. But God is not a respecter of persons.

And YES, many times I'm right and others are wrong.
You don't like that?
Too bad.
Maybe your charismatic type Christianity can find a way to forgive?

This is my last post to you.
Don't bother replying.

Thanks for writing to me DP
I still can't believe what I've read.
It's blasphemous.
I'm happy you wrote.

I want you to know that even when I seem upset, it's just the way I write. The only people who can really make me upset is my husband and children.

We're here to discuss. I'm sorry if I don't use the right wording.
I'm not really upset except for this: Some here change the CHARACTER of God, some by saying He could sin (unbelievable) and some by saying He picks those that will be saved.

I'm very opposed to both doctrine, as you know.
GOD IS GOD and HIS CHARACTER will NOT be changed by mere man.

Thanks again.

Original sin is the sin that Adam committed.
He committed the first sin of any man.
Because he represented all mankind, we now, all of us, suffer the consequences of that sin.

The consequences are physical death,
separation from God,
separation from our fellow man
separation from nature and , in many different ways,
separation from ourselves.

Because of this original sin, all the consequences of it have been passed down to us. This is called the sin nature.

Because of this sin nature every man is born lost.
We must REPAIR the damage done by Adam's first sin.
We will still have the sin nature till we die and receive our glorified bodies, but the sin nature will be kept under submission (to a point) with the help of the Holy Spirit. We are still fleshly beings and will sin; however, we are no longer slaves to sin --- Jesus took care of that on the cross.

If you want to call this being imputed with Adam's sin, so be it.
I don't think, however, that God - being a just God - would blame ME for something YOU did. Of course, Adam was not you and it's not really the same, but that's how I understand sin.

What is your position?
You believe we're responsible for Adam's sin?
I mean, personally?
I have a file written by Scott Hahn on Original Sin. People get annoyed with long posts so I'm sending it to your private message box.

there's a song by Jethro Tull in reference to a friend they had that died of drugs, for some reason reminds me of their true position:

"A Song For Jeffrey"
Gotta go away tomorrow.
Gotta get away, my god.
I'd take you along with me,
But I could not go so far.

Don't see what I do not want to see.
Don't hear what I don't think.
Won't be what I don't want to be.
Continue in my way.

Oh, ceased to see where I'm going.
I've ceased to see where I'm going.
I've ceased to see where I'm going to.
I don't want to.

Every day I see the morning
Come on in the same old way.
I tell myself tomorrow brings me
Things I would not dream today.

I don't want to.

may not be the same case, but it sure seems to be the same attitude.

this is what happens when you try to make Jesus into God, see, for Jesus was tempted in all wise the same as us, 4Instead, we have one who in every respect has been tempted as we are. Which is not saying that Jesus sinned, ok

Sure. I don't want to.

I like to listen to everyone. Think about it and then reply with some scripture (most times).

Luckily for me, I've been taught by two denominational churches. I hear this is not very spiritual, but I trust what I've been taught..it's so pure and easy. Some like to make things very complicated. Maybe they THINK they can't go so far with God, but with God all things are possible !

i'd be curious to hear what Mr Hahn has to say about the Law of sin and death, if anything, which i guess is doubtful.
You know how everyone likes CS Lewis? Catholic and Protestant?

Well, Scott Hahn is the same.
He teaches theology. He used to be protestant and became Catholic.
I can understand why too.......
Anyway, yes, EVERYONE should read Scott Hahn.
He only wrote one book I didn't like. It was about Pope Benedict and his beliefs (the explanation thereof).

Every other book he wrote is WONDERFUL !
And easy to understand.

Well, it isn't me who wants to make Jesus into God.
It just kind of happened that way according to what the Father wanted.
I'm not so important...!

I know you meant YOU generally. JK.

I know He was tempted. When He went into the desert for 40 days and prayed and fasted and was visited by satan who tempted him in every way: materially, spiritually, and physically.

I know He never sinned.
What a poster (or two) here is saying is that Jesus had the sin nature.
Do you believe He had the sin nature?

That would put Him in the same boat as Krishna, Buddha, Confusious, etc. So then why be a Christian? These persons that believe Jesus had a sin nature have more problems with their belief than they know.

salvation is for the faithful not the intellectual, though a intellectual can be faithful but that's kinda like the Lord says about a rich man's chances for heaven.

mmm, and i know that you would stone anyone else dead for making the same claims; so, strangely, even this is debateable i guess
What a poster (or two) here is saying is that Jesus had the sin nature.
imo you are having a semantics disagreement, and "sin nature" = "tempted."

I have a really difficult time with the reformation.
It was necessary because the CC had gone so astray.
Payment for confession, indulgences, etc.
Other stuff, we won't get into even more serious.
Only because MAN is sinful -- not the church. (small c)

On the other hand, it divided the church, as you said, caused wars, caused more "bad" things to happen, killings, burnings, etc.
And look where we are today.

I think we have to hold on to the fact that God is in charge and ALLOWS all things to happen and, in the end, it will be HIS will that is victorious.
Hi GG,

Men of The Church did go astray and were sinful. That does not make the doctrines of The Church wrong or corrupt The Truth.

If the standard is 'some of the men of the church became corrupt that means the entire teaching/doctrine/dogma of the church is corrupt' then EVERY denomination (Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Pentecostal etc.) is corrupt.

Yours and my entire family tree is corrupt based on that standard. :(

What do you mean "small c" when referring to 'the church'? Does 'small c' mean all Christians?

IHS....Mary

You state a legitimate belief within traditional Christianity.
Nothing to debate.

There are two ways of understanding this, which is agreed upon by theology. You're entitled to your opinion...

I know I am entitled to my opinion. That is not the point.

We disagree, so why is there nothing to debate.

Explain (Rom. 5:13-14) to mean other than what I have said it means. Because it disproves your statements and proves that we are guilty of Adams sin.
