If one takes [time] into account (which your question implies). Then any such questions must begin with the understanding of just how time works...or it's just speculation and opinion against opinion, which has been the case until just recently. But now that the reality of time has been revealed to us, such passages (if not all) need to be reconsidered.
So, then, when Jesus said "Today, you will be with me in paradise" he was correct..
There are NO COMMAS in the Greek; they are placed where the TRANSLATOR thinks, based on his beliefs.
Thinking we don't really die- as taught by Church and Satan- they place it incorrectly; for Jesus was saying the equivalent of "I tell you right here and NOW-", an emphatic promise. "Truly I tell you today- you WILL be with me in paradise!"
How do you KNOW that's were it goes?
