Once again you are resorting to your own imagination, rather than what is revealed in Scripture. Yet you claim everyone else is adding to the confusion.
Power meant BOTH authority and ability to exercise that authority. So here is what we find in Scripture to confirm that. Jesus later on sent out 70 disciples and also gave them power over sickness and demons. Here is what they said: And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. (Luke 10:17).
So the point is that you are TOTALLY MISTAKEN about the empowerment of the disciples before the resurrection. The power and authority were in the name of Christ, but the disciples did exercise that power.
Therefore you can either accept what Scripture says, or continue to promote your false notions (which is probably what you will do).
