Why I am here

I have a personal attachment to the Old Testament and the verses contained therein. This includes the verses where the Lord talked directly to the Israelite people. In this one-way discussion the Lord laid out directives for them to follow and the blessing they would get if they followed His commandments. I took these directives and compared them to historical events and found them wanting. Personally, I would like to see the Israeli people change their ways by embracing the stranger (Palestinian) and treat them as one of their own just as the Lord instructed them to do. I truly believe this “example” would create a wave of peace across the middle east.

This is the biggest reason I am here; but there are others

Why are you here-?

(Deu 7:6 KJV) For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

(Deu 7:7 KJV) The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

(Deu 7:8 KJV) But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt.

(Deu 7:12 KJV) Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he swore unto thy fathers:

(Deu 7:13 KJV) And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kin, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

"in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee"

The above means that God did not give the land to them yet. They must first earn this gift.

I believe they have not earned this right, do you?

(Ezek 36:17 KJV) Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their ..own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

(Ezek 36:18 KJV) Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it.

(Ezek 36:22 KJV) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

(Ezek 36:24 KJV) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(Ezek 36:31 KJV) Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

(Ezek 36:32 KJV) Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, Ohouse of Israel.

(Ezek 36:24 KJV) states that they will be gather and once gathered He will judge them one last time. That day of judgement is NOW.

Based on their actions towards the stranger I believe they have failed Him for the last time.

How about you?

What happened/will happen to the chosen ones?

What does God expect????

He has already said, and knows, that those living in sinful flesh will, and do, sin. That includes everyone. That is why He (GOD) paid for all the sins of mankind on the cross. But if a person does not give Him credit for His payment by believing and trusting in it, then it does not apply for him/her no matter how hard he/she tries to make themselves self- righteous by what they do. Salvation has been accomplished for those that trust in God's work on the cross.

The covenants and promises to Israel are on hold during this dispensation of grace. The only way to be saved is believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no difference between Jew or Gentile, we all come by way of the cross.
Acts 28:26-28
26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:

27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

The Lord reaching out to Israel even after the cross, shuts off Isreal as a people for now and the gospel will now go into all the world

To which chosen are you referring to!!!! Old Testament or new Testament chosen

(Deu 7:9 KJV) Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

(Deu 7:11 KJV) Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

Now just remember, the point of this thread is to look at past and present events to determine if the "chosen" have kept "the commandments and statutes".

I can and have shown plenty of evidence that shows that they have not. It is for others here to show their "good" side; then once done, let's all vote.

Ok

Yes Israel as a People failed God, how could they not given the sin nature and commandments that went against that nature. They will never be at peace with with any of the Arabian countries. Their father was sent into the wilderness, and he will be a foe and warrior. Age old war, they have never had peace, war is the nature of Ishmael. They grow up learning battle, so I may be missing the point you are making but Isreal will never be at peace with their enemies.
Their government's may sign some kind of treaty but the people hate each other. That's not to say there are not Christian's among them that have a different heart.

War may be the nature of Ishmael but the Old Testament is full of verses where the Lord instructed the Israelite's to love the stranger as they love thyself. There is a long series of verses telling them how to accomplish this. If you ask I would be happy to provide them.

As for war, during my research of the Old Testament I found no references where God told them to go to war. The act of war is contrary to the teachings of God as retold throughout the Old Testament. There may be other folks lingering in the Old Testament who called for war but those words were and remain contrary to the Lord's teachings.

I'm the Christian police.
I'm here to stop people from teaching false doctrine and living by the Law.
We are spiritual beings, people need to understand that and live by it.

war is the nature of Ishmael

You are wrong, war is not the nature of Ishmael. It was Moses who whipped out entire tribes, not Ishmael.
Moses wiped out almost all non-Ishmaelite Arabs
Ishmael

According to the Book of Genesis, Ishmaelites (Arabic: Bani Isma'il, Hebrew: Bnai Yishma'el) are the descendants of Ishmael, the elder son of Abraham and the descendants of the twelve sons and princes of Ishmael.

In the Quran; "God has gifted all of Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah and Lot a favour above the nations".[1] "With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and guided them unto a straight path".[2]

After Abraham pleaded with God for Ishmael to live under his blessing, Genesis 17:20 states, "But as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: behold I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve rulers shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation."

Maqrizi says that Moses wiped out almost all non-Ishmaelite Arabs such as Amaleq and Midianites,[17] and by the time of Muhammad all Arabs were descendants of Ishmael according to historians Hisham Ibn Al-Kalbi and al-Sharqi who believed that all Arabs were descendents of Ishmael including the Qahtanites.[18]

Ishmaelism in this more limited definition holds that Ishmael was both an important religious figure and eponymous ancestor for some of the Arabs of western Arabia.[28] Prominence is given in Arab genealogical accounts to the first two of Ishmael's twelve sons, Nebaioth (Arabic: نبيت‎, Nabīt) and Qedar (Arabic: قيدار‎, Qaydār), who are also prominently featured in the Genesis account.[28] It is likely that they and their tribes lived in northwestern Arabia and were historically the most important of the twelve Ishmaelite tribes.[28]

It is believed that the first person to speak Arabic clearly was Ishmael from Greek literature sources: "Isma’il grew up among the Jurhum tribe, learning the pure Arabic tongue from them though the Jurhum spoke an ancient form of Aramaic. When grown up he successively married two ladies from the Jurhum tribe, the second wife being the daughter of Mudad ibn ‘Amr, leader of the Jurhum tribe. Isma'il could speak only ancient Egyptian and Hebrew of his parents before his marriage into the Jurhum tribe whence he spoke a language derived from all three languages which sounded better than all three and became God's language."[29]

I'm the Christian police.

I have been very confused and remain confused about people calling others anti-Semites.
How can these people say this when they know Jesus was a Jew as well.

BTW
I do believe Jesus is my savior
Antisemitism (also spelled anti-Semitism or anti-semitism) is hostility to, prejudice, or discrimination against Jews.[1][2][3] A person who holds such positions is called an antisemite.

I agree.
Grew up with Jews, had Jewish friends all my early adult life, no problems here.

Maybe, at least for a short while (or to appear to rather seem peaceful)

"Their government's may sign some kind of treaty..."

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3

Peace and blessings

in my view of things

Joshua 6 2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. 3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. 4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him."
...... 17 "And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the Lord: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that were sent. "

I believe Jesus is our savior and I also believe people living before Jesus' time who believe in God, honesty and truth are also saved.
Am I wrong in that belief?

God made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and Israel, If God does not keep His promise to them, then don't hold your breath about the New Covenant, He just might change His Mind. Every one will be tested by Fire, IMO.
