fine fine fine
I also had another time, when I had invited JW's who came to my door and I always invite them in, to ask them some questions, for study, etc.

I specifically wanted to study with these younger JW (again not very long ago), and asked them to get for me PATDP (Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy, as I already had WDTBRT? before from my mailcarrier (JW) at the time), as I wanted to study Daniel and Revelation with them.

I only got excuses each time. Some valid (illness), some did not seem so, but like procrastination. I even told them they could bring their elder or dad. They stopped coming after they gave me the book I asked for. A little frustrating.

About a little over a year ago, when we were out going door to door for an Amen Clinic in the area.

Oh, they are generally nice people (like any group really).

I didn't really get an answer as to why, and I tried (politely to find out), and is why I contacted the Elder, as I really wanted to share with them and I thought that they would really enjoy the study on the state of the dead (soul sleep, in the natural and spiritual).

I am simply relating my personal experiences. I cannot say for certain as to motive. I can only say what happened.

I would be willing to study Daniel and Revelation with you, and we can even look through the PATDP, and WDTBRT?, etc.

you try being a witness and your half of your whole family is witness and has more authority than the other half in the family. most people on my mom side are dead.
I *am* in a family where I am persecuted for what I believe. Because those other family members are motivated by fear. A the destructive actions that has majorly harmed relationships. Something I have to continually forgive certain family members for.

It's not healthy and it's not following Christ.

Here's what Jesus says about literally jumping out of boats if it involves coming to Him:
“Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”
He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.”
Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

If it involves walking towards Christ, you should never be afraid.

That's OK. You don't have to know it. I am only looking for a person who is willing to study these things out. If you would like to do so, I would be glad, and then I would have a new experience to tell, but I would prefer it by PM, as I do not like interruption, as so often happens on this forum, in Bible study.

I don't know you, but I can guess. I may be totally wrong in this guess, so please forgive me if I am, but I'll take a shot at it.

You've spent you're entire life being told "stay in the boat". Being told over and over again nightmares about cold water, drowning, your lungs feeling up with water. An effective prisoner on this tiny little boat as it's tossed back and forth on the sea. Never have you heard Christ say "I love you, come to me, and be not afraid." And for a moment, you did listen to Him and were not afraid-- you let His love into your heart and took a step towards Him. Out on those waves you were always told to fear-- but when you were looking only on Him, He enabled you to walk on water.

And then, like Peter and everyone else, you looked away and saw the waves. Saw seemingly nothing underneath you. And you feared. And into the cold water you went-- sinking in fear.

Until the Savior's hand reaches down into the water-- into your fears and feelings of worthlessness --- and He, the very Son of God, pulled YOU up out of the water and you were truly safe. And in that moment, of realizing who is holding you-- the magnitude of that undeserved grip and rescue.... yeah it's 100% natural to sob in that moment.
