okay i will begin with the talk.

i forgot the title of it but it was

how the devil is waiting outside for us and that there are only two sides Jehovah or the World/false religion (remember Christianity is included with their definition.) and that he has weapons (The Devil) to Use then on the tvs they showed us a picture of his 3 weapons One was the politicians of this world, another one was a Salesman? i think trying to sell us stuff and make a deal which could lead us a stray from Jehovah, the last one was false religion i think the picture was of a Roman Catholic Priest.

and then the speaker said that we shouldn't look back at the things behind and that and that not to worry about any anything cause we will be in paradise when the world's being destroyed. (why i am starting to realize how horrid that sounds is this the Gift of Discernment?)

okay on with the watchtower study i will put a link for the magazine for your self to read. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-study-july-2018/who-is-on-jehovah-side/. i will give a few comments that stuck out to me one brother said that we should avoid any apostate websites and that their are poison and that Jehovah hates them. (not wrong but if you know the watchtowers view of apostates then it's wrong) another sister/brother if forgot said something similar that we shouldn't want to think for ourselves (basically anything the WT doesn't approve of.) and that its dangerous for us and we should only trust in Jehovah aka the watchtower.

okay that's all besides the three songs i forgot the first one but the other two are on the magazine. also the songs we have TVs to display the lyrics and guess what none of the lyrics showed everyone had to get their phones and tablets and songbooks and read off them happened three times. okay that's all i could remember.

something was telling me that the speaker and the watchtower magazine wasn't all right.

I don't view anything from watchtower sites. But you are on the right track. Keep praying for discernment and study the Word of God, for He gave you a free will and wants you to think for yourself.

Dear Michael,

How will you ever decide based on faith, will leaving the JW automatically guarantee you won't be susceptible to error again. What if you do transition to another belief system, will it cure you of your doubts? I write this as a plea for you to use your rational thinking skill's instead of wishy washy emotions & experience based absurdities.

Know that I'm thinking of you mate, and I wish you everything you desire.

At the very beginning of the reformation, the German princes who supported and protected Luther against the charges of heresy brought by the Catholic church, had some excellent things to say regarding religious freedom.
The Watchtower employs precisely the same principle as exercised by the papacy throughout its 1500 year existence. The presumed right to coerce conscience. The protest by the Christian Princes at the diet of Worms formed the basis for freedom of conscience which found is theoretical fulfillment in the US Constitution and Bill of rights, and practical fulfillment with Roger Williams.
Those Princes said, among other things, quote, "Let us reject this decree, in matters of conscience the majority has no power’”
Mr. Michael, not only does the majority have no power in matters of conscience, neither does the church. Just as you are personally responsible for your own destiny as far as conscience and direction of worship. God will hold the church responsible for misdirecting you, but will also hold you responsible for listening to them.
From my favourite book outside the Bible, comes this quote...
The greatest want of the world,” we read, “is the want of men — men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall”
Then there is also this....
God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority—not one nor all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord” in its support.

That was the Holy Spirit speaking to you and telling you that you should move on and have nothing more to do with them. Trust the true Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to show you the truth.
No, it wouldn't be Michael's logic & rational thinking skill's, it has to be something you require him to believe in. What evidence do you have that some spiritual influence is at work here?

Well, I guess Michael will just have to pray for discernment concerning your words too.

But you already said elsewhere, from what I understand, that you believe what the Bible says about God. Yet you choose not to put your trust in Him, because you can't stop struggling with sin and depression. I don't feel you are thinking rationally, but that is your God given free will to do that.

I have depression at time's, yes. I struggle with being free from religious tyranny, not sin. It was religion that gave me an over sensitive view of sin. Also a step father who traumatized me by putting everything I did or achieved down. I've been pushed around & bullied most of my life, especially from those who claim to have the spirit of love.

I can understand that. :( I used to be one of those bullies. I also had abuse in my past and self injury, a history of anxiety. Hurts can cause a negative attitude that doesn't show a spirit of love. But I have seen many of every religion, etc. I do agree religion ishurtful. Not a relationship with Christ. A relationship with Christ heals the deepest hurts.

He sure does :p and I don't even have to do anything. I can play golf game's all day & live off my pension, while he does all the work, right? I'm serious, forget what I can do for him, it's all done for me from the foundation of life.

You are being sarcastic again aren't you?

Would you really be happy just playing golf and living off pension? Seems a bit boring to me. Id rather be helping people and seeing God working in their lives. Serving HIM who loved me since the foundation of the world/life He created.

Why? Nothing you do matter's, it's all him, so let him do everything. If he uses you to help other's that's great, but don't expect Jesus to do the same with each person.

The grace of Jesus Christ is sufficient for me. And yes, it is great when the God of the universe uses me to do His work. What else does matter when compared with that great purpose? I feel fulfilled allowing God to use me for His purpose.

Major red flags all around.
