okay this sunday's meeting.

let's start with the talk.

this talk was mainly about if the parents knew where there kid was not just Physicaly,Mentally, and Spiritually?

then he compares a puppy to a child. also this video was on a tv screen.

he said we have to protect are kids from the world and satan.

he says that we shouldn't feel like we are in a prison cell (which is how if feel)

then he yells "Parents do you know where your kids are!!"

and tell how
that the outside world outside the hall outside the watchtower is satan's world

and their's no middle ground.

and we have to keep an eye on are kids and make sure they are obeying jehovah.(watchtower). that if we let our children wander away from The Organization they will end up on satan's world and if will be damaged. that includes Christianity/Christendom.

i don't have much to say about the magazine
watchtower study.
all i have to say was that JWs Exclusively belong to jehovah.
and that we are his special people. despite John 3:16
they claims this because the old testament jehovah has chosen the jews to be his special people and now that we are "true" Christians we are jehovah's people.
and only we will be saved. no other people no other Christians.

put i'll leave a link for you to read it.

At 17, is this the best you have been taught to present a subject? (Forget trying to read the book I sent you. I doubt you will ever make it through it.) :) :D

Well, we do have to admit that "fear" has long been the primary motivator of almost all Christian evangelism.
Only in certain groups.
I find threatening folks with Hellfire to be... completely counter productive. What would you tell a lady who is coming into a marriage only because she fears for her life? Is that true love?
NO!
So then why do folks try to force a person to be a bride of Christ with threats?

Because that is what they expect themselves. I have said it before that people will find the exact god (Loving or Vengeful) that they are hoping for in the Bible. "Desiring punishment" is deeply rooted in the human psyche. To be honest, not that many people really seem to believe in a loving God..... not when you get them talking long enough to get past the "pat" Scriptural phrases they have learned to rattle off.

Willie, you should come to my congregation sometime and see people not doing things this way.

I, myself, was baptized out of fear, nearly 40 years ago. It was really just "Fire Insurance" for me at that stage in my life. It was only about six years ago that I finally met JESUS.

Oh, love abounds where we attend now. But I have lived a long life, (I am 73), and I have seen FEAR preached and taught till it was coming out my ears.
I agree that some churches do that.
Speaking personally, when I visit such a church, I do not stay long. I.... suffice it to say I have major disagreements with such an approach.

But, you see, many people don't just "visit" that kind of church. They have been brought up in it... and so have their parents before them, and their parents before that. This is all the entire family... often the entire community... knows anything of. To suggest a God of love would be totally foreign to their concept of a Deity.

This is true: some people simply only know threats and do not really feel a God of love.

(I was referring to me visiting because I personally just like visiting churches)

My father-in-law, a truly God-Fearing man, actually spit on the ground in disgust when my wife (then in college) tried to explain a Loving God to him. They were lifelong Church of Christ members, who, believe it or not, spent most of their time exclusively in the New Testament.

Does this mean that in spite of everything you are still committed to this group of misguided people? The longer you hang around, the less chance for you to break away and get this matter settled.

The very fact that "the organization" is more important than Christ, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is not even mentioned, tells you that you are in a CULT. When brainwashing is the norm.
