Okay so I've started various threads at varying levels of cerebral engagement or otherwise. I guess one topical subject would be, How many ear piercings do ppl have?

I myself don't wear earrings any more; it used to be years ago that guys would wear one on one side if at all, although the tendency for guys in recent decades is to have one in each ear, if worn at all.

And of course many women for so many years have had more than one each side.

Although there is a classic simplicity for both women and men of having one each side.

None for me ever! My wife had some prior to meeting me, but there has been no need nor desire in that direction for many years. We've been married 46 years and serving God together for more than 42.

I am a typical one in each ear.
I have many sets of gold earring...but I am lazy and don't bother to change them much. :D

I don't mind them on men...especially on dark skin , when they have one big diamond. My own diamond earring are quite small ones. :(

PS...I like rings...and I also like men with gold chains...my husband hates wearing rings and also chains . I got him one once ( a chain...with a medallion) one one side it said Jesus in Greek and on the other side it said- "Until the Day dawns". I got it for a wedding anniversary about 45 years ago. He wore it about twice... :(

Well, I guess if you were stuck for ideas you could always buy your husband a diamond ear stud for Christmas and an ear piercing voucher; and then if he has it put in, see how long he would wear it.

Of course, if so, he might 'retaliate' by giving you as a Christmas gift a tattoo voucher, seeing as he probably knows you don't mind tattoos on men.

Not me either. I remember trying one back in high school or something, and it looked just awful on me, LoL.
As for my wife, she wears them sometimes, but unless jewelry or makeup is done very tastefully it sort of detracts from a person's looks, and she's always kept things simple with her appearance. Fine by me.

Hey Farouk, I remember you posting Christian heavy metal videos to me over at CF. Between that and the earrings, you must have been quite the hombre (wanted to use a different expression, but it's probably not allowed, LoL) back in the day. :)

Aren't you like 72 or something?

It's always been women's wear to me, and I have never had a desire to wear a dress, either.
Even so... The only ring I ever wore before marriage was my high school class ring. I gave that to my grandson. The only jewelry I have worn since then is my wedding ring. I haven't owned a short sleeved shirt or a pair of short pants in a great many years. When I do attend a church service I like to cater to God by wearing my best for Him which is a full suit with a tie.

My wife has always catered to me in her clothing. She knows I never liked her in pants so for all of our marriage for her skirts and dresses only. She doesn't own anything else. Her only jewelry is her wedding ring. She has never worn make up.

I would never press anyone to change their lifestyles for me, but if they ask me I will tell them my preferences and why. The one we should first want to please is God. What does He want or expect from us? Should we only go for the minimum so we can maximize our pleasure in the ways of the world?

Farouk, tattoos stink.
But earrings were worn by tough men called buccaneers.
I wouldn't dare call one of them a sissy.

It looks like they ALL wore them back when...
Ex 32
2 "And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron..."

\...then we get the golden calf...

I have one hole in each ear. The ones I was born with and they're quite functional.

I do have rings in both ears. The wretched tinnitus I've suffered with for decades!

Hahaha!! Very good one Frank... my ears are still very functional ...unfortunately my husband does not...I have to shout...and he refuses to have aids..the same as he squints rather than wear glasses..at 81 he is very macho...and looks about 65. Still plays squash three nights a week...and often wins.

But, like you I also have the ringing in the ears...since 1998 ...mostly I can tune it out and pretend that it is angels singing....
