Worship....to many it means simple faithfulness to remember the Sabbath and Keep it Holy
To others, it means to be obedient and fearful of His Will....to me....it is the very core of my heart to Praise Him in song and in dance and to become enveloped with the anointing of His presence. The Bible does say He INHABITS the praises of His people.....something very supernatural about Worship.....the time taken to simply be aware of nothing But HIM....and to stand in awe of all the He is....then smile and say to the enemy MY GOD IS MIGHTY AND AWESOME AND ABLE to do above and beyond anything I could ever ask or think....and I am His Child and He is my Lord.....He is MY FATHER....I am so highly blessed and honored to Worship Him and know that He is the author and finisher of my faith....He teaches me His ways...Comforts me with His Holy Spirit....and is faithful to complete every good work He has begun in me til the coming of my Lord and Saviour Jesus.

To God Be All the Glory!
Amen!

In the early 90's I heard a man perform on one of the TV Evangelists programs and it quickly became my favorite worship song to play when struggling with the enemy in my life.....by the Imperials
The lyrics speak to me in such a way that I can feel my spirit rise up in faith to Praise the Lord in my trials and tribulations....

I enjoyed some of Russ Taff's contemporary stuff as well. He had a great voice, and it was very memorable.

I think this is the one thing I miss most about church: The worship, and being on the altar. The Lord has called me to concentrate my energies on other things now, but those who have been involved in worship teams will tell you: There is nothing like it when the Spirit of God is present, and you are caught up. Certainly you feel it in the congregation as well, but not like when you are on the altar.

I know….there is no words that can express the feeling of His presence and during that time you are totally unaware of anything but Him....I MISS IT SO MUCH but I do get into it on my own in my living room.....not quite as powerful as in a group.

God does not need you to feel emotionally 'caught up' or even aware of His presence at all for your worship to be acceptable: I would even suggest that when at times you feel abandoned... Forgotten... Persecuted... Downtrodden... Perplexed... Weary... And at the point of despair.... And you worship anyway, that is where God actually wants to lead us.
Though he slay me, yet will I trust him.

I worship and pray under my breath all the time. Marveling at who God is and thanking him for what he has done for me. In many cases, Church distracts from worship when they set aside time for it and make a routine out of it.

I believe they refer to this as the "sacrifice of praise". This is hard to do in the flesh/carnal mind...I have not been so faithful to do this in the past but I am growing in that area.

Yes, it isn't easy. It does not come naturally that we celebrate and give thanks in a time of crisis. The apostles recommended it though. James 1:2; 1Peter1:7 and Psalm 43:5; 27:6... And many more.

Worshipping despite circumstances us similar to loving the unlovable . It takes a deliberate choice to do so. Though the feelings of love our praise are not there, loving anyway, worshipping anyway, is a reflection of the character of God in the soul.
"While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
Trusting in the character of God despite our current circumstances... Believing in His care and trusting in His faithfulness, regardless of all the evidence to the contrary, is true worship.

Hey, the ones made by human hands weren't bad. :)
ha so you say anyway. no doubt they are well-intended
I've felt the presence of God in congregations! Especially when I first got saved, before I was ever involved in worship.
You've never felt God's presence during worship?
we have different definitions for these terms that would render my reply irrelevant, but i can say that i have felt presences during love feasts, yes, but i would not be interested in labelling them without more evidence. Worship to me is a diff thing, and fwiw "when i first got saved, but before i got involved in worship" explains why

"I do get into it on my own in my living room".....not quite as powerful as in a group." Me too, in my livingroom...almost daily! lol. And I do agree, not the same as within a group of like spirited followers of Christ ♥

So many astounding things happen during deep worship of God. The other night my wife and son were discussing scriptures, testimonies and I saw in my spirit angels clapping their hands.

Other times Jesus is very near and I can point to the place where his anointing stands. Other times in writing worshipful poems and prophecies I've seen angels sitting in a circle reading what the Holy Spirit gave me to write.

So many things in scripture were given to the prophets, apostles and disciples during worship. Time after time God will send healing, deliverance and manifold blessings during worship and high praise.

Late late in the wee hours I've sat with pen and notebook taking dictation from the Lord's Holy Spirit. When he begins to speak I can't type as fast as I need to!

Many deliverances are wrought through praises. Once as I sat by the side of a highway with a flat tire and discovering to my dismay that my spare was flat also. I prayed for God's deliverance and a man stopped to ask my trouble. He told me he had a tire just like I needed at his house. We went there and it awaited me. He took me to have it mounted and back to my car. I prayed for the anointing to come and when it arrived I spoke to him all God had me to say.

Interruptions are divine instructions. God will interrupt our day to send us on the Heavenly mission. Consider that those things that interrupt your present activity may be a divine telegram.

Praise and worship will extract you from tribulations that are inmpossible to escape otherwise. God draws very near during worship as you have said. Once as my wife praised and glorified the Lord she saw large angels tossing her into the air from one to another. In prayer one night I prayed for angels to watch over us. Immediately in my spirit I was lifted far above our bed and looking down I saw two angels above each side of the bed. Two above my wife and two above me. They were as solid glowing gold with wings, and were on their knees in an attitude of prayer with hands folded before their faces. They were ten feet above us and I in the spirit above them.

Eye has not seen neither has your ear heard what God the Father has prepared for those that love him, praise him, seek him with the entirety of their heart. In this evil world you shall indeed suffer trouble and affliction but he who has made all and overcome all, including death, shall deliver you. Strengthen you. Empower you. Give unto you wisdom for every occasion. Do not fear my little flock for it is the Lord's good pleasure to give to you the kingdom he has made. The father indeed has laid up for his children. For those who have cleaved to him with all of their strength, their soul and all of their very being. I keep what is mine and having made all, all is mine. Those that have chosen me above this world shall not be ashamed. My people will never be ashamed but will face down the adversary with the sword of my word and the Almighty blanketing of my anointing. Arise ye prince's and anoint the shield!

So says the Lord.

As I began to answer your post on worship I realized that he wanted to have these things written for your building up. For all he writes is as a love letter to his church.

"Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.
Isaiah 54:4 NASB

You are not alone in your struggle. Know this always. Be of good cheer. That mountain in your way will be leveled so that you pass by. That thing you won't speak of. There is a way for you. He made it and ALL will be well.

Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen and Amen
