I don't see that love was involved in their repentance. The love of God is shed abroad in the heart by the Holy Ghost, whom they received as the result of being baptized.
Faith works by love and these were born again. They entered the New Covenant and received the Holy Spirit.

Faith working by love does not save anyone. It is by faith alone. Love comes as the result of faith and receiving the Holy Ghost, Galatians 3:14, Romans 5:5.

The people in the Acts passage received the Holy Ghost as the result of being baptized in Jesus' name. Did you even read it?

That is the fastest production of fruit out of a plant that I have ever seen! They were convicted, got faith and the Holy Spirit, and suddenly had enough love in their hearts to get baptized with love as their motivation!

These were born again Jews who loved God and people. They were baptized and entered the New Covenant because they believed. The received the Holy Spirit through the spoken word which is now the means for all believers.

We receive the Holy Spirit along with the New Birth when we hear the word and believe. Baptism and repentance follows.
Sorry bro, but putting 'salvation' into such a nice neat little box simply does not work for everyone. Me for example. I heard no "word". And I am sure I am not the only one. And I was "saved" (although I could debate whether any of us are saved "yet"...in a sense certainly, but many of us have a long time to wait before the final outcome is confirmed, because our ultimate destiny is secure only conditionally) anyway, it was 2 months at least before I was baptised...and I know if I was run over by a semi before I was baptised, I would have been raised in the resurrection...despite the fact that I had never read a Bible in my life, and only seldom heard it quoted many years previous, albeit unknown to me at the time. Neat little boxes and formulas restrict God to man's devices. Faith and repentance are the only criteria...from then on its a matter of growing. God will save anyone who
are called...chosen...convicted...regardless of how when where why what and who said brought them...
.
And the order as you put it could change as well.

See Acts of the Apostles 2:23. These were not born again; not to mention they received the Holy Ghost as the result of being baptized according to the passage. So they were born again before they got the Holy Spirit?

You cannot believe in any true sense without first being born again (saved). After entering the New Covenant the Holy Spirit was in them. In the OT the Holy Spirit was with them.

You cannot believe without first having the Holy Spirit. Faith is a fruit thereof.
That is what your man-made doctrine would tell you, contrary to the scripture that I had just referenced (Galatians 3:14).

I had a similar experience as you. But it is the word that defines our experience and places us with Jesus instead of Allah. There is no set order but only believers (saved people) would make the effort to be baptized.
