This is who he typically chooses what we despiseDon't try to tell me what I believe!!! Even the poor old drunk laying in the gutter can choose to call on God and receive forgiveness, love, help and salvation!!

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14) (KJV 1900)Romans: Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13
God says==That """if""" thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and ""shalt believe"" in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth ""confession
is made unto Salvation"". For whosoever shall ""call ""upon the
name of the Lord "shall" be Saved.........

I never said such a thing. Please respond to my actual post:It still comes down to your thinking salvation is only for the self-righteous. .
He simply just states a persons condition to them.I never said such a thing. Please respond to my actual post:
Somebody who forces someone to believe something is a brainwasher.
Somebody who forces themselves on another is a rapist.
Somebody who treats something just to kill it is a murderer.
Somebody who forces people to gruesome burning is a extreme narcissist.
Do you worship such a being?
Why isn’t the self righteous and the all knowing and the wonderfuly sparkely, etc mentioned in his list?of who he chooses?Read and you’ll see who’s doing the choosing and why.
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 KJV
[26] For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called : [27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; [28] And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea , and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: [29] That no flesh should glory in his presence.
Tecarta BibleNo more glorying in the flesh!
Even the faith is not meritorious, however.Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say. He must start by choosing to believe!

Leaving aside your terminology, this is what the Lord Jesus says in John 6.37:Again:
Somebody who forces someone to believe something is a brainwasher.
Somebody who forces themselves on another is a rapist.
Somebody who treats something just to kill it is a murderer.
Somebody who forces people to gruesome burning is a extreme narcissist.

Yet it is saying that we didn't choose God...and therefore predestination isn't about God foreknowing what choice we would make...God chose us...that means that it was entirely predetermined by the Lord who He would save (Romans 8:30) and who He would ordain to condemnation (Jude 1:3-4).
Your answer?
Another way of stating this is, Is saving faith a work of the Spirit or a work of the flesh?IF you can be saved (born-again) before you choose to believe, confess and repent then you don't need Jesus!!
Again:Leaving aside your terminology, this is what the Lord Jesus says in John 6.37:
"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
Ephesians 2.1-9:Again:
Somebody who forces someone to believe something is a brainwasher.
Somebody who forces themselves on another is a rapist.
Somebody who treats something just to kill it is a murderer.
Somebody who forces people to gruesome burning is a extreme narcissist.
Do you worship such a being?
I do not.
I worship the God of love in the scripture. The God whom loves all people, whom gave His life so that whomever believes on Him shall be saved. Not a God of force, but a God of love. Not the being of Calvinism.
MATTHEW 11:6Again:
Somebody who forces someone to believe something is a brainwasher.
Somebody who forces themselves on another is a rapist.
Somebody who treats something just to kill it is a murderer.
Somebody who forces people to gruesome burning is a extreme narcissist.
Do you worship such a being?
If you experience Christ, you cannot choose "not to believe" any more than you can choose not to believe you are sitting in the chair you are sitting in.
