How Do You Smell? :)

We have all heard people talking of people giving off an aura colour...they say they can "read" people by their aura. Christians say ...they can discern the spirt of a person.

Thought.

So..what is the fragrance we each leave as we walk through this life...

John 12:3
"Mary took a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment."
What a beautiful fragrance it must have been.. ♥︎

"When the people .... perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4 13

Who we spend time with rubs off on us.......a natural husband , after close presence, can smell of the perfume of his wife...and the wife of the husbands aftershave.

How much like Jesus do we smell.

You have now reminded me of the altar of incense..

I was thinking about the fragrance that we give of as we go through life....but now I am thinking about the fragrance we give up to God!!

That smell of Christ is to some the smell of life....but to others it is the smell of death. It depends what we are smelling with...what KIND of faculty we are using.

Im a bit like a friend of mine, we where chatting the other day, and saying how when we get older we stink more. Seems to be true but than I dont have a wife, and no perfume, maybe that would help a lot.. As for Christ, well as it says,

1Co_6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Cant smell any better than that.
