.... I never denied that. See, this is the problem; you are so caught up in spewing your unfactual whatever that you never even asked what I believed or why I believe it. It is really hard to have an actual conversation with people who want to run around with their fingers in their ears and cry victory.

I hold to Total Depravity. Do you even know what that means?
You can deny it all you want...it is clear that at least one of you is denying Total Depravity in its essence because you want to believe that there is something in you that is inherent in you that makes you worthy to be given faith.

Otherwise God arbitrarily chooses certain people to damnation...and that is not the God that I believe in or serve; and it is certainly not the God of the Bible.

Just because you don't do it, it is not necessary? Do you consciously keep your heart beating? Does that somehow make it unnecessary?
If grace doesn't come through faith, then I don't need faith to be able to have grace.

1.) You have yet to show any facts proving your first claim, and a few of us have even come forwards telling you that is not what we believe.

2.) God does not send anyone to hell; sin sends people to hell. God just chooses not to extend His grace to everyone. Give me one reason He is obligated to extend grace to anyone, much less everyone?

So far, you have:

1.) Informed me that one great way to attain faith is through some form of sin
2.) Told me what I believe rather than actually asking
3.) Refused to give any straightforwards response to any of the Scripture I provided
4.) Accused me of not holding to doctrines I adhere to
5.) Told me that the God I believe in [which I defended from Scripture] can't be the real God, because he doesn't match up with the way you imagine God should be

What makes the elect so special? Why does God choose them?

Answer me.

Agreed. He doesn't have the answers, but he has the accusations. All you've described is true, and the ironic this g is his being elusive is the true definition of cultic behaviors.

Nothing. His good pleasure. I never claimed to understand the ways of God; it is enough for me that God says He does this because it pleases Him to do so.

It is God's good pleasure then, to not save the non-elect, and to put them in the lake of fire for that He didn't choose them.

Such a loving God you serve.

re #288.

Sin condemns them not God.

So you think that God owes salvation to all? On what grounds is God obligated to save anyone, much less everyone? On what grounds?

So, you don't know what it means. You keep slamming it, tell us what you're slamming.

Don't you see?

It's not enough that we hold to Total Depravity.... we have to hold to HIS VERSION of it! Forget the fact that Total Depravity as we understand it is founded in well over 30 different Scriptures from the Old and New Testament.... We have to agree with his, based on his interpretation of 1 verse!

On the grounds that He claims to be infinite love.

"HIS" meaning God's...since my version of it is based in the primary verse in the Bible that teaches that doctrine.

It is not your fault.
1 cor2:14 is in effect.
They cannot welcome truth until salvation comes to visit them. ;);)
Proof that Calvinism is a cult...now you are even condemning those who do not hold to the doctrines of the cult.[/QUOTE]
I am condemning those who want to make accusations against brothers, and then when they get answered biblically...hide like turtles in a shell
Put your big boy pants on and interact biblically.

On the grounds that He claims to be infinite love.

...And infinite justice. Sorry, God is love, but He is not ONLY love

Isaiah 61:8

For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them.

Deuteronomy 32:4
"The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He

Isaiah 66:24

"Then they will go forth and look On the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me For their worm will not die And their fire will not be quenched; And they will be an abhorrence to all mankind."

That is pretty funny...and it shows that you aren't even comprehending or listening. I told you what it means.
No, you gave a verse while slamming Total Depravity. So what you're doing is slamming the verse since you're using it to define a doctrine you hate.

You're always evasive. Face yourself, you really just don't know Scripture or sound doctrine. Your teachings are based off of out of context scripture. You have no answers to what we show you for one reason: you will not admit you're wrong because you are your own god, everything fails if you then admit error.

He just doesn't know what it means, or maybe he does, but if he admitted we are correct his god takes a hit.
