Actually God gives us a sample of His glory....then it is up to us to go to Him in a full surrender. It's like the 10 lepers whom Jesus healed...but only 1 came back to Him. Jesus asked "where are the other 9?

Good question. I say yes...but in our case as individuals...it is the sample. As in...taste and see that the Lord is good. After that WE are held responsible.

Luke 1:17
[17] And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

John 3:30-33
[30] He must increase, but I must decrease. [31] He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. [32] And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. [33] He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

John 4:34-38 KJV
[34] Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. [35] Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. [36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. [37] And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. [38] I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
It is finished. We rest!

Jesus isn’t a hard man

You would never worship a god who expected something from you. You would call that a "works" god. So you make up an easy god instead. But the truth is that you do find God hard...otherwise you wouldn't need to turn aside to fables.

The body of this flesh will not stand before him it doesn’t inherit. What will be standing there judged is his works. No flesh will glory in his presence.

I have posted a diagram of the tabernacle with the dimensions added....which is very pertinent to this thread.

Let me just start by saying that the tabernacle represents the human heart. Has anyone ever heard of this or considered this before?

That is not the heart. It works differently in every person.

It is a seat of emotion.

Just say you can't see or don't understand instead of offering a pathetic opinion that does nothing. Don't be like an unbeliever that gets in the way of the advancement of others.

Now I am going to post something very important to understand....so it will most likely go unnoticed.

The context lies in this statement by Jesus... Luke 14:30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

People are so concerned with a salvation status that they begin with. They never consider that God expects growth.

Here is a parable that is not understood in our time...

Luke 14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

The dimensions of the tabernacle are 20 cubits and 10 cubits. In the above parable the comparison is identical....20k to 10k. This parable concerns the conversion of our hearts. But from a perspective of spiritual warfare.

The spirit inside of us that contains Christ is the smaller part (1/3) of our hearts...the holy of holies part. The larger part (2/3) are the things we set our hearts on....the things we love...family, country, past-times etc... IOW the things that occupy our hearts. Now we are twice more likely to love the things of this world in our daily lives than the things of God. Remember that the things of God occupy only 1/3 of our hearts. But that 1/3 must OVERCOME the other 2/3 of our hearts. THAT is the parable. We must give up all other affections and loves to let the love of God fully invade our whole heart.

Can we do this? No! We can't overcome ourselves. We must surrender all our loves to God...and forsake them if we wish to be wholehearted in our discipleship of Christ. We must seek the Lord for peace...a peace that means the love of God shed abroad in our whole hearts to serve Him alone.

So then to be overcomers we must first surrender all to Christ.

Salvation is the first step of sanctification. It grows unless one willfully resists it as part of our new nature.

I see better than you and your gnosticism.

i prefer no devil's advocate on the thread. there's enough of this evil in the world. I ask you then to butt out. You have no knowledge to speak of but to add in silliness.

Brother I don’t wish to be evil. I just wish you would consider that what was buried in the napkin in the earth is the flesh of Christ? We are sent to reap. The fields are ready, have been. This is why they were reaping on the sabbath?
