I have never had such a miraculous "visitation" from God. The only conclusion for my self to come to is, "if He said it then, I believe it" no "feelings" are involved, just His Truth. Although, I cannot and will not judge their experiences, there little more to do but pray God will reveal these things to me, personally, in His time.

Amen. Blessed is she that believes and has not seen.

BTW-some might argue God is Just and Righteous but, not always fair?
I do not see this parable as being unfair as all agreed to the same thing but, when first reading of it, I wondered how I woud have reacted had I been one of the early morning workers. Matthew 20:1-16

This parable is about the righteous....who are scarcely saved. Only the saints produce actual fruit that is rewardable.

Notice the difference in this parable with the others about the talents or pounds.

Without understanding the kingdom of God, the bible remains a huge enigma. But once you understand the rankings in the kingdom...the saints who rule over the righteous who are over the filthy....then everything falls into place very neatly.

Remember that there were 3 sons of Noah and of these (look at the names) ALL the earth was populated. This is about...prophetically...the age to come.

But the condition of that eternity is to walk in eternal life and power now. If we overcome as Jesus overcame (instead of this silly doctrine that Jesus overcame for us or instead of us) then God will allow us to rule with Christ.

People that are betting on a good outcome for a mediocre performance on earth are trying to make a detour around..."you shall reap what you have sown"

And I'm not talking about a fleshly performance. I'm talking about the works of faith. The works prepared in advance that we SHOULD walk in them.

You are mixing two very different things.
We are saved from the consquences of our sin through our faith/trust/believe in Jesus's atoning death and resurrection.
As Christians we are to live a life that honours God/Jesus.

We are promised the strength/grace to cope with our light and momentry troubles.
But we don't have to achieve a standard of behaviour, all we have to do is strive.

Actually you are doing the mixing of two very separate destinies...the holy saints and the righteous. Read the end of revelation. It speaks of the saved nations (the righteous) and those who live in the holy city (the saints...the bride of Christ).

I see a big difference between the parables...almost some to a totally opposite degree!
As far as the "age to come"...whole nuther ism-type/thread IMHO :)

Good stuff to mull over though!

I marvel that so few are willing to seek more deeply about eternal things. I go to God with a simple desire to learn...and I have experienced so many miraculous things...things I can't speak about. And then there are people that just reject everything as make-believe. Wow. The make-believe is in their high estimation of themselves.

I am blessed at your good attitude and faith, sister. If I am given something from the Lord it is for all who are willing to receive.

We are a body...and members one of another. :)

LOL...you have no idea what I'm talking about and it kind of bugs you. The other alternative is that you would be jealous that others have had more experience with God than you (which I'm sure your pride bristles at the very idea of).

We can always know your position of things by looking at the fleshly conduct of any or all people in the world

Nothing surprising here.

Have you even read the thread with any creak of an open mind? Or are you fully ignorant of God and His ways?

Try again. :) Won't the Lord reward you if you get it right?

I know exactly what you're saying what you trying to do.

I also see Gnosticism self promotion.

As a person is so he sees. The Pharisees likewise only saw ambition and the quest for power in Jesus. Why? Because they saw as they were.
Spoken like a guru.

I did not miss your implication of maybe in a Pharisee and you being Jesus, figuratively speaking.

I think they are quite correct.

Besides being troll on this thread....do you have anything of Christian value to contribute?

Being cantankerous is not a spiritual thing...but a carnal manifestation. But you have heard this and ignored it before. Some people live known to others...but remain unknown to themselves.

If we ignore the purpose of the gospel....a living faith in a living God....then we are susceptible to any kind of deviation from the truth.

The danger is to place beliefs on theories, opinions, dogmas and any other replacement for life in the Spirit of Christ.

Rather than examine the myriad of errors made possible by ignoring that Jesus is the way the truth and the life....right now...we need only ask ourselves....am I walking in the power that resurrected Jesus from the dead?

I am not a troll. I am a member of this board with every right to say what I wish within the rules. It is not your thread.

So you admit that you are operating by doing whatever you want ...leaving aside being led by the grace of God to edify God's people.

Operating in the flesh leads to death. Putting those deeds to death by the Spirit leads to life.

Gospel is the testament to Jesus Christ. A witness and a proclamation. Be it spoken or written.

Life is by Christ through the Holy Spirit.

You are obsessed with power. The weakest can walk in Christ through his grace and the Holy Spirit. It's not a power issue.

Sadly, Episkopos, your understanding of the Parables of the Talent and the Pounds is not in line with what is being taught.

All of the parables, the Parable of the workers in the vineyard, the Pound and the Talent are all about what will happen after the time that the Kingdom of God is established in our near future.

The fact of the matter is, your examples that you have highlighted above, show how you have drawn the wrong conclusions and understandings from them.

The parable of the workers in the vineyard field is also similar to the Parable of the Judgement of the Sheep and the Goats which is also about being rewarded for what they had done. The owner of the vineyard dismisses the first hirelings of the day away and sends them away with their agreed wages for the days work.

Could these workers be the Gentile Church that many on this forum shout about having replaced the Israelites in God's purposes?

Perhaps you have missed the warning as well and have aligned yourself up with the Goats.

Shalom
