Matt 22:36-40
"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
He leaves us with no wiggle room.

On enemies I believe the Bible teaches love them but do not turn your back on them.

The seven churches speak of churches that had this belief in accommodation and acceptance of false teachings.
Did God praise them for it? No, he warned them to stop or else face judgment.

Yes , love in its varied forms ...but only ONE true...."..For God is love."
7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
I know you do...I was just trying ( though badly) to draw some of it out of you.
Can we bury the hatchet and try to understand where the other one is 'coming- from' a wee bit?
Love of others is commanded in the Bible. The Bible says even evil people love.
You cannot reduce it to a single facet. It is far more complex.

Many like to zero in on that one characteristic of God-Love. Yet, not so much about His justness and jealousy, His righteousness and hatred of all sin.
