On enemies I believe the Bible teaches love them but do not turn your back on them.
Love does not always mean trust.
One reason I started this thread is because of repeatedly being chastised for not having heart and love.
I do care. I do love. If I did not I would not be on this website.
So I thought it was time to deal with these biblical contradictions on the issue of love.
I do care. I do love. If I did not I would not be on this website.
Love of others is commanded in the Bible. The Bible says even evil people love.Yes , love in its varied forms ...but only ONE true...."..For God is love."
7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
I know you do...I was just trying ( though badly) to draw some of it out of you.
Can we bury the hatchet and try to understand where the other one is 'coming- from' a wee bit?
Love does not negate the other teachings of the Bible.
God loves but he will still send people to the lake of fire for eternity. So love does not negate justice.
