Yes--he (Skywriter) loves to quote Scripture yet he misapplies it all the time. The injunctions against worrying are meant to be against natural or man made disasters not our flagrant disregard in practicing what God has called an "abomination". Those whose habit it is to practice "abominations" really SHOULD be worried about God's judgment.

More than one sexual partner in your lifetime is an abomination to God.
So don't get yer underwear in a bunch, you are in good company.

Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

James 2
10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.

The upshot is: Based on James 2, what makes any one of us qualified to judge the sins of others?

That was the mistake we are seeing. Scripture with written as "Sodomites" and well meaning people replaced it with the word "Homosexual."

"Sodomites" referred to uncontrolled lust, in public, with multiple partners.
"Homosexual" only refers to a preference for same sex company. The two words are not interchangeable.

For example...I can describe my neighbor Rob, as a homosexual....even though I have no idea if he's a virgin or not.
He prefers the company of men, so he's a homosexual. In 20 years, I've never seen him have sex.

It was the sin of not being hospitable that was the final straw. The crowds of men at the door represented the whole culture, which was committed to satisfying their desires rather than following God. Remember, Gomorrah burned too and homosexuality was not highlighted there either

Would someone please tell "SkyWriter" that my last post was not addressed to him and I will not be answering his foul blabbering. He knows that we have discussed the same points of his depraved babel over and over, yet he continues to post the same evil perversions of Scripture.

I think you get my meaning, in spite of my modern slang.
In the days when scripture condemned homosexuals, they could not marry
and so all same sex intimacies were considered both Fornication and adultery.

But just as God has forgiven us for having more than one sex partner in our lifetime, and allows and forgives divorce and re-marriage, and forgives people for not marrying virgins...and we no longer stone adulterous participants.

In the same way same sex partners are not stoned to death today.

Romans 13
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment...Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

Supreme Court Declares Same-Sex Marriage Legal In All 50 States

The US Supreme Court was never given Constitutional Authority over Marriage.

And State Governments made up of men given Authority over Marriage, that have Agreed to Corrupt the meaning of Marriage, and those who participate or support such corruption, have turned the Truth into a Lie.

As Scripture says;

Acts 5:
[29] ...We ought to obey God rather than men.

So, IN SHORT....It matters not to me what Corrupt things Corrupt men have declared.

Glory to God,
Taken

Some people seem to very conveniently forget that.

BY the way...just remember that this Site is bigger than just this one thread :D

I go to a Quaker church and I found out a sad truth.....Quaker Oats is not a Quaker company! They chose the name ‘Quaker’ because it was identified with purity....

I decided to still attend the church.....

I put raw Quaker Oats in yogurt for about 1/2 hour and they are ready to eat - yum

I've been getting the steel cut oats lately. Just boil for one minute, cover, refrigerate. Cook for 10 minutes in the A.M. OR stand there and stir for 25 minutes, lemme think on that
I love fresh blackberries in mine @aspen - and they are coming up in season their soooo sweet! And a hecka lot cheaper than buying out of season I tell ya! lol.

..and eat the oats ...I love hot porridge...with just a drip or two of cream.
No longer like it with sugar as when a kid. Loved brown sugar on it.
I once tried it with a pinch of salt as the Scot's do...and quite liked that...but like it best plain.
